Welcome !

I am relatively new to this list and have found it very informative and a

great place of support. I was wondering exactly what immunization it was that

your son reacted to with a fever and screaming. My daughter experienced the

same reaction to the Dpt-not the Dtap-although the reactions may be the same.

Hope you find the support and encouragement you seek.

Best wishes and warm thoughts,

Alice Clinton

Thanks for the welcome Alice!! Its nice to meet you.

My son received 3 vaccinations at that doctor's visit the Hep,oral

polio, and the dpt. I am not sure which one caused the reaction for

sure but most of the research I have studied indicates it was probably

the dpt. Of course the nurse I spoke with that evening had little

information her advice was to give him more tylenol and that he should

be fine. Jake has never had the dtap.

Hi and welcome!! You are in the right place. We are a crazy bunch

sometimes but if you need support and love this is the palce to be. I

feel like everyone on this list is a big extended family and can

understand things my own family and close friends cant even begin to

understand. Hope you find the same comfort and closeness that I have

found since being here.

Hi nne,

Welcome to the list, I hope you will tell us your story when you are up

to it, you will find this a very caring and supportive group.

How long have you had Lyme, are you newly diagnosed?

Take care,

Hi Roe,

This is an email list, no chat feature. Ann is collecting ICQ

numbers for those of us who want to chat. For now, I think has a

good chat connected at her web site.

Reid - hi and thank you for the warm welcome to the group. I know this is none

of my business but i am sorry

about your home problems - Its really hard for people not infected to

understand. I was totally alone when i

was diagnosed, my son was away at school and i have been divorced for a long

time. My x-husband was kind

enough to tell me he thinks i am totaly crazy - we had communicated because of

our son. we dont talk anymore

- he dosen't understand. but after having this disease for a year I realized

the only people who do know what

its like is someone else who has it. It is for this reason we have to try and

see things from their point of

view. This disease effects everyone close to us and I know it has totaly

changed my life and not for the

better, except for the wonderful brave people i have met.

Hi nne,

You are on at Onelist, and I am a co-moderator here.

No kids with Lyme fortunately. My grown son is healthy, as a matter of fact

he works for a commercial extermination company, and kills bugs including

ticks! My son, the hit man.

I tried to check out your web page yesterday but kept getting knocked off

line, I will try again today. I did manage to bookmark the page. My guess

is that you went through hell trying to get diagnosed and treated, it is

common and so sad. I vividly recalled my tick bite and became immediately

ill, yet I could not get decent treatment for over 6 months, as I had to

change my insurer to see the doctor who was Lyme literate. Three years

later still pretty sick and trying to get decent treatment as the Insurance

company requires positive testing. Such a catch-22 situation!

Anyway, hope you find out who you were thinking of.

Hugs,

Marta NJ

Dear Bonnie,

I do a lot of different things to help my self. I was told not to take

vinegar in any shape or form. Well, my naturopath told me to drink vinegar

water. I thought it strange at the time but tried it. My candida was

really bad and I was at a point to try anything. Well, I noticed a

difference right away the first day I tried it. Also, whole garlic the real

stuff. You can take a clove and cut it to the size you can swallow and it

also helps. When I do this I can eat almost anything except sugar. I am a

diabetic. When I thought about it my son when he was still drinking a lot

of milk got a diaper rash and I wore myself out changing him so he would

clear up and he would not. When I took him to the Doctor he said to put him

on orange juice, which I thought was strange, but he told me that his body

was to alkaline. The orange juice cleared up his diaper rash. Just like

the vinegar helped me. Thank God. I wish you luck. Cheerfully, Myra

It seems like there are lots of us new on this site.

I know to begin with we should eliminate ALL yeast and sugar items. Is a

little bit okay in the beginning after die off or at any time?

When will you know you're eating too much?

I get headache (migraines), bad joint and muscle aches, injuries last a long

time 4-10 months, severe abdominal pain (which has disappeared since

Laparoscopy in November), and much more. About every symptom in the Yeast

Connection I have.

Does anyone else on this site also have Interstitial Cystitis? I would be

interested in knowing any other dietary restrictions besides the Yeast Diet.

I've known about the IC for one year and have used that diet and the low

oxalate diet, it helps.

Thanks,

Hi, my name is Jim and I am 29 years old. I was just diagnosed with PA a few

months ago. My psoriasis started when I was 21. It's real bad in my feet

right now, nothing seems to help. I go to the dr. tomorrow to start mx.

Reading these emails is kind of discouraging. This is so depressing!!! I

know everyone probanly goes thru this, but I just really am having a lot of

trouble dealing. I will soon be receiving my ca. teaching credential for

elem. ed. I often think will i be able to keep up. Well I'm just kind of

venting so bare with me

Jim - hang in there. I think depression is a big part of this. It's so

hard to cope when you hurt and you itch and you feel like a leper and people

are insensitive to your pain and misery. We all (on this list)know where

you're coming from and the best we can give is - " we're all in this

together, you're not alone anymore. " I think that being here has helped me

a lot. I don't chime in much but I read every post and really look forward

to Gillian's letters for the laughter they bring. Stick around. Maybe

somebody else can give you better advice. And don't be afraid to vent -

that's part of what this list is for.

Peace

Helen

Hi! I live in Lancaster County, Pa.. My children are 7,5,2 and 1years old.

I agree that my condition also got much worse after my last two pregancies.

I was not diagnosed yet when my first two were born. What meds are you

taking at present time? My husband works in Exton, Pa., Chester County.

Conshohocken is about i hour from here. I have a cousin who lives in

Shomong, N.J.. Is that close to you? I've read that Aloe helps that

psoriasis, so I am trying it from a lotion that's 98% Aloe; but we are also

going to try it straight from the plant and take the 100% gel from it. What

have you tried for your Psoriasis? thanks for writing. It is so good to hear

from you! Take care,

Hey everybody!

My name is Cheryl. I am new and I am excited to be on this list. I found

that I had yeast overgrowth relatively recently. It was a relief after the

hell of sickness I had been going through for the previous 2 and a half

years. I was so ill I could hardly work or make plans to do anything. What

I am finding hard now is the diet. Everybody says you can eat a different

thing. What do you guys do? Do you eat apples, or not? Do you eat

potatoes? Does somebody really need antifungal drugs, or will lemon juice,

acidophilus and garlic be enough?

What does everybody think?

Cheryl
