Hello, list! This is Teena! I am glad to say that I am back. I have really

missed this list the past however long it was....perhaps a couple of weeks?

Anyway, I left because I was seriously struggling with pms or something,

perhaps depression but am feeling a bit better. Not perfect but better! I

am trying natural progesterone. I will also add St. 's Wort or Kava Kava

if needed but want to finish this cycle to see if the progesterone alone will

help. I also got my thyroid checked and needed my meds increased. I had

noticed my hair falling out more than normal but I have a lot of hair so it

was easy to dismiss. I also was sleeping alot! About 12 hours a day!! But

thought it was just hormones, like pms but I was wrong! Anyway, I am giving

my thyroid meds and the progesterone a chance to work before I all anything

else. I also started back on this WOE on Tuesday. I did a 3 day meat and

water fast to start out and to get into ketosis and it worked. I have lost 6

pounds. Today I had veggies as well and will keep at 15 to 20 grams carbs a

day. I have not had any diet soda or caffeine in 4 days either. I have

decided that this is not about just my weight. This is about my well being.

And my family's. So, it is good to be back and thanks to those that wrote me

privately to encourage me. It really made me feel better! That and lots of

prayer! Teena

182/176/140

(I went on a *depression* induced carb spree and gained 6 pounds but have

lost it during my meat fast! Yeah!!)

Great to have you back on board . Summer is coming so we need to know

all the stuff going on. I am glad Dallas is doing so well.Such a good

mommy there

I'm back!

IT's been way too long since I've posted here! I've been back to

reading posts for awhile, but havn't had much of a chance to post. I'm

happy to say that I only have good news! Dallas turned a year old in

March. He went in for his check-up on

Tuesday and they were amazed. He hadn't been there since December.

He was supposed to go in on his b-day, but stormy weather kept us

home.

Anyways...In March they took him off his Maxaran, Losec and Ursodiol

over the phone...trusting me to know if he needed it again. Tuesday they

gave him a good check-up, and they were so impressed

with his health, they also took him off his Atrovent and Flovent.

They decreased his CPT to once a day, and he gets Serevent morning

and night. (his CPT is pretty non-productive, unless he has a cold) He

now weighs over 22 lbs. He's come so far since last year (it will

be one year next week since he was diagnosed). I never thought my

happy little guy would ever be healthy again, as we sat with him for

2 months in the hospital over last summer. We are planning some great

family time this summer, as we missed doing everything last year. Our

other son Shay is finally over the trauma of being without us

most of those 2 months last year. He started preschool in Februaury

and is a great big brother to Dal.

Dallas is now only on Vitamins, Serevent and Cotazyme ECS8. He even

takes his enzymes all by himself! He hated taking them mixed in

food, and was always trying to eat the empty capsules anyways, so we

tried him with them. He takes them out of our hand, pops it in his

mouth, and downs them with some milk. We are so impressed.

Anyways..I've missed you all lots, and I hope to get to know those of

you I haven't met. I hope Dallas' story will give hope to those

parents who's children have been recently diagnosed. Dallas had a

really hard go of it at the start with the CF and reflux, but he's

soaring now.

Well I've rambled on enough and I see Dally has that 'trouble maker'

look on his face, so I'd better run.

Hugs to you all,

Carla

Welcome back Riza!!!! We sure have missed you girlfriend!!! Don't worry about

the envelopes, just jump back into posting! It has been so quiet lately!!

You just have to start all over again with the gym. I know how hard it can be!

I just joined our city rec. center's gym last Friday. I have been doing 1 hour

jazzercise class and 1 hour in the gym and I am definately feeling it! But it

is a good feeling!!

Maureen

I'M BACK!

Hi all! REmember me?! I've been AWOL for about a month now...sorry

been gone so long. Things have just been so crazy busy around here

and I'm still running around trying to get settled.

HOpe all is well and OMG, ..I hope everything's ok!!!

Oh and BTW...guess what I found in the trunk of DH's car when we got

back from vacation? A plastic bag filled with envelopes...they

looked so familiar and when I looked closely they were addressed to

, Maureen, etc...THEY WERE THE PRIZES FROM THE WEEKLY CHALLENGES

from like 1 1/2 months ago (or was it 2?) that DH forgot to

mail...AARRGGHHHH!!!

So sorry, ladies...I'm sooo embarrassed...I will get to a post office

ASAP.

Anyway, been REALLY BAD so I have to recommit. First step was going

back to the gym after a 5 week absence. I need you guys!

Glad to be back.

Welcome to the other side Beverly! How are you feeling?

I'm Back!

Many thanks to those of you who wrote me and who offered prayers,

best wishes and kind words of support. I can never tell you how much

they meant and how much I appreciate the support.

Surgery was 7/31/03-Lap RnY. I came home on Saturday, and had my jp

tube removed today (not too bad!)I did spend Thurs. and Friday in ICU

due to breathing difficulties and problems with oxygen saturation

levels, but I'm home! Yippee!

Nuff bout me for now. Just wanted to update and say thanks! Oh, and
