I made the best " coleslaw " 2 days ago. shredded a head of purple cabbage in food

processor, cut up yellow and green pepper, onion, made a sauce of olive oil,

honey and lemon juice, mix, its great!! no mayo or sugar except for a tad of

honey. yeah the sweet fruit like citrus, bananas etc are very high in sugar

(natural) they have nutrients of course and fiber but even diabetics cant eat

much sweet fruit. like for me drinking a glass of OJ with pms is fatal (for my

husband haha). id love to make an nf2 diet but dont think many would like it,

cud be fun to try. we could do double blind experienments then compare mri's,

ok, group A, you drink carrot juice every morn and .... just making light. i'll

think about it.

Lori,

it looks like all the gas causing veggies are the good ones:( I just read the other night that zucchini is a great source of potasssium. I thought that was interesting.

Ive heard that but am confused about it so dont go overboard and live on tofu

or anything. soy is in so many foods anyhow, hard to avoid unless you live on

100% vegetables.

just had a mean, funny thought....Georgia, you started this whole thread

about feeling sick all the time....now are you seeing any correlation here

between your feeling sick all the time and that infamous chocolate habit of

yours????

I think that you need to booze to cover the taste of cabbage leaves - they

smell and taste like old used sox to me. Onions to me are O.K. becauser I

like them raw - very strong taste.

In NZ there is promotion about what veggies are the best and which are the

worst

Best - Green veggies except avacardo, carrots, tomatoes, beans, mushrooms

Bad - potatoes, peas, corn (because they contain starch).

Can't remember the rest though. The list of veggies is about 1/2 page long.
