All I have to do is talk to my sis-in-law for 10 minutes and I sound like

I was born and raised in Surrey BC. Poor hubby had to listen to a really

interesting Newfoundland/Idaho accent when I got back from my brothers

wedding and I drove my brother nuts when we were young and listening to

the presidential debates with Jimmy . I sounded like a Georgia

native. I won't mention what I sounded like after doing phone interview

with other library workers from Texas, Hawaii, New York, New Jersey and

Tennesee in one evening hehehehehe.

I've always been able to pick up accents well, which was great when I was

taking foreign languages in school.

about English. Bet if you sent him on a few excursions to the continent he

might feel differently. Especially if he wanted to communicate with the kids.

Don't kids always want to be cool and communicate with the other kids? They

learn things that they should and a whole lot that you wish they didn't. Mine

Makes perfect sense! Dyslexics are visual and auditory learners. They

compensate for their difficulty reading by developing good listening skills.

Its possible (but I couldn't prove it) that, because of the tangle in one part

of the brain, other areas develop in a disproportional way. So she may have

those " pockets of brilliance " in any number of areas.

The connection with autoimmunity, dyslexia, and handedness is pretty well

established but nobody can predict its variations as yet. Its just very cool to

me how often you find the autoimmune, lefty and dyslexic connection. Have a

friend with real nasty allergies who has a left handed husband, a dyslexic son

and a daughter who gets basialar artery migraines. Eventually this is going to

be addressed holistically but while we have medical disciplines that approach

human beings in a reductionism fashion, there will be people who suffer while

they are compartmentalized.

Its pretty much the same as what we are doing here. We have these amazing,

common experiences which doctors (trained only in their own discipline) insist

on telling us we are not having. So we have to rely on each other (Thank God we

have each other) and our ability to do research. Were it not for Elaine's

knowledge and Jody's kindness I don't know what I would have done through this

I only hope that allopathic medicine one day stops being full of itself and

listens to patients. I still have a nursing license and I have been in the

allopathic system for a long time. My chiropractor gets better results than my

researching DES daughters (as I am one).

There is a 10 fold increase in gay and lesbian offspring in the DES children

that were born to mothers who took DES. Researchers believe that this is due

to the bathing of the fetus in the synthetic estrogen (DES) that the pregnant

Mom's took while the fetus was developing at a specific time during gestation.

Hi Laurel

I agree about the French langauge - it was one of my best subjects at school.

Unfortuately does not sharae my enthusaiasm - he is going on a school

day trip to France soon - partly to practice the langauge - but isn't keen to

go.

He is keen to learn Spanish - it's a much easier language- but it's unlikely he

will be able to do this in school unless his French improves.

I have to object to this. There are no instances where other members of

other species are exclusively " gay " unless something is wrong (i.e.

endocrine disrupters) which aren't a product of nature.

The favorite example of homosexual behavior is bonobo chimps. They are very

sexual primates. However, if there is a receptive member of the opposite

sex available, they will not choose to have sex with a member of the same

sex. They'll opt for the opposite sex.

If you want to say that there might be something going on with humans

because of their big brains, there wouldn't be any argument about that. But

homosexuality makes no biological sense. And biology is " nature " .
