I was raised to be respectful too, but being walked all over by people that

take advantage of that, is a whole different ball game! I'll be nice to

them as long as they don't think they're gonna walk all over me and take

advantage of me. I'll only let it go so far before my fangs come out and

the horns pop up and I let 'em have it!!

You are right, but my " respect " was taught as " you don't say anything

back to them at all, that's not right " . It's taken me a long time to

get over that and I get better all of the time. I feel proud of myself

that I at least did challenge him on why he had to keep picking on me

for crying.

No, what he was saying was, that there is a trigger point directly in

front of your ears. I think it's right where your jaw bone ends. So he

was saying that because this point hurt, I was having the symptoms of

tinnitus and also pain in my ear (it feels like it's inside my head when

it hits). In other words, if this point hadn't hurt, I wouldn't be

sensitive to sounds, have tinnitus or other ear pain. He totally

disagreed with me that the tinnitus was from damage done to my hearing

while I was in the Navy. It *had* to be coming from this point. Hope

this is a little clearer.

I think it was extremely disrespectful of that doctor to do what he did to

you. Doctors take an oath to heal people, not belittle them and make them

cry. But, the oath also say's that they aren't supposed to charge for

their services either! lol Yea, like that'll ever happen!

Rhonda

It just ticked me off that the " doctor " did that to you.

Darcy,

I think that he is totally wrong. I have tinnitus and am a tinnitus support

person. I think that you are right when you say that the tinnitus comes from

the damage done while you were in the Navy. I think that you need a new

doctor for sure if he has such a small thing so wrong. I have tinnitus and

although mine came from a medication that I took but I have a lot of people

that has noise damage from the services.

Take care,

Irene

I think he's wrong that my extra 20 lbs. is the cause of my snoring as

well. My allergies cause my sinuses and nose to swell closed at night.

I frequently breath through my mouth and my mouth gets extremely dried

out (much more than it use to under the same conditions). Despite

making my bedroom as allergen free as possible and taking medication, I

wake up almost every night in pain in the spring and fall (when no air

circulates around the house) from my allergies. Yes, I've been to an

allergist, but when you are allergic to large amounts of everything,

it's difficult to do anything about.

Darcy, have you ever tried the Breathe Right nasal strips. you know, the kind

the football players wear? LOL

I MUST use them at night or my nose just swells completely closed. Works like a

charm...plus no additional meds!!!

My snoring comes from having to wear a night guard to keep me from grinding

my teeth at night. It keeps my mouth open and hence the snores come.

My husband is trying to sleep in our bed again after getting out of the

hospital.. He has insomnia badly and has been sleeping on the couch with the

television on. I think that the noise is what he got used to while in the

hospital and is having a hard time learning to sleep in the quiet. He snores

big time.

Take care,

Irene
