FT4 15.4 (9 - 20)

FT3 5.7 (3.5 - 7.0)

TSH 0.75 (0.5 - 3.6)

No these are NOT normal test results. You had an RT3 problem here

already. ANYTIME T4 is over midrange RT3 is building. You rLOW TSH tells

me oyu had low ferritin then. Thokmas your doctyors did this to you. I

am betting when you first started takign T4 only meds you started making

too much RT3 I also think what oyu experienced was not A-Fib but a panic

attack. This bneing csued by lwo ferritin and too much thyroid for your

body to be able to tolerate due to the low ferritin.

When they removed T3 and uppd my T4 from 100 mcgf daily to 150 mcg daily, this is theblood sample I got, after a couple of weeks on 150 mcg T4-only (if my memory serves me correct, it sure looks like I got upped on the T4-med from the results!)FT4 22.5FT3 5.3TSH 0.18My TSH was low for 4 years, 0.01, because I was taking 40 mcg T3 along with my 100 mcg T4. It's normal to have a zero-TSH when you take that much T3, right? My Ferritinwas fine through all these years UNTIL 2008 when T3 was removed from me, and T4was first raised, then lowered and lowered with the goal of stopping all meds.Only in 2009 my Ferritin got low, down in the 20-30s.When I first started taking T4-only in 1997, through a private specialist, my life changedfrom being nothing (like now) to Heaven! I lost 100+ lbs, looked AMAZING, and

climbedsome of the tallest mountains in Norway. I went from being an overweight, slow, mentallychallenged (HYPO!!!) person, to becoming some kind of superman! The TACHYCARDIAnever left me. It stayed with me even while taking T4, and later when tadding T3 to the mixin 2004. But other than that, I lived a normal life. I was quite happy. Not 100% healthy, but close to it! Maybe 90%. Maybe 95%. In 2007 it all changed. Stress came to me,and I mean bigtime. Pressure on the chest, stress every day, unnatural stress. I couldsit and watch tv and almost shake from the stress! This change happened only afterI witnessed two girls try to kill themselves, and also try to kill Me. It was horrifying. This was really the point where something happened to my body! (Adrenals?)What I experienced in late January 2008, after having tacycardia every night for weeks, was NOT a panic attack. I've had those before! While horrible to

experience, I knowhow they feel like. This was my heart stopping to beat - Like I said, I know my beats,I feel every heartbeat of my heart, I have done so since becoming sick age 13-14.This was NOT my heart beating hard and fast, like a tachycardia attack, this was my heartactually NOT beating, it was moving SO weakly, and fast, it was tickling like CRAZY(I am telling you, this tickling feeling was something I've never, ever felt before - It felt SOOO wrong! So amazingly wrong and horrible!) - I had fibbrilation, atrial or ventricular even. My heart was NOT beating. I promise God it wasn't beating.I really appreciate you diving into my theories . I just hope I will be able to thank you properly one day. I just hope I'll live on... Hopefully feeling better than This!Arguing with the wife every day, including 2 hours now. She went nuts beause my car wouldn't start (battery is old and dead) - Like everything is my

fault. She knows I am dosing down on my HC from 27.5 to 25.0 mg, but she doesn't care. She just wants to kick my ass badly. I am telling her.. If she doesn't stop I can die. This is how I feel.Divorce next.

DO oyu knwo your ferritin was fine from labs? NO it is NOT normal to

have that low a TSH form 40mcg T3 but the two together is more than many

people need. The fact oyu needed it tells me oyu had conversion problems

then. And the supressed TSH tells me also your body was not able to use

the thyroid then.

Dear and other interested people, here are ALL (minus a few, but I think I got the most of them!) my thyroid blood sample results from approx. when I the horrible endosI met in janury 2008 started to remove my thyroid meds because "I never needed them".I have also added the first thyroid sample EVER taken of my, in 1997, when I was VERYfat and had all the hypo symptoms (even more symptoms then now), and a couple oftests from 2007, the year when SOMETHING happened to my body (stress came to me!).Notice how TSH raises through 2008 and 2009 as I take less and less T4. I stoppedtaking T3 in late February 2008. The rest of just T4-only until MID-OCTOBER 2009when I started adding T3 to my T4 again, then sweitched from T3 to ERFA Thyroid inlate November 2009, then finally, started T3-only in mid-December 2009. Just so

youcan compare the numbers with facts!Hope you get the date-format we're using in Europe! It's DAY, MONTH and YEAR. Hmmm. Interesting. I remember my Ferritin was good. From the 80s up to over 100. I candig in my archives and look for Ferritin from 2008 and down if you want me to. To be sureof this!To tell you what happened, very shortly: I was on approx. 125 mcg T4 daily from 1997to 2004. In 2003 I worked every day and got very tired. I didn't eat anything else thanBig Mac's (yay for my intelligence!) at the time I was working, cause I had no time to eatit seemed back then. I got all burnt out and went to my specialist at the time. I used himfor 10 years. 1997 top 2007. This is the man who saved my life with T4 in 1997 when noother doctors said I had any thyroid issues at all! They said I was healthy and hadmental issues. I was almost 300 lbs at the time. I was NOT healthy. SOMETHING waswrong. I had all the hypothyroid symptoms.

And from the first blood sample in 1997,you can see that I had within range results. Based on that, I got no meds from any endosor docs. ONLY the private specialist could give me T4. He did. And my life CHANGEDso much my mother cried after a few weeks seeing how I changed on T4! I reallygot my life back on T4. I lost ALL my teens to Hypo (or whatever it was) but started livingfrom age 19 and up! A 12 year old in a 20 year old body! It was not the easiest thing to do,but BOY did I feel and LOOK great!!! :)My point is (I love to write! I always write too much! SORRY!) that in 2004, I told myspecialist that I had read about T4/T3-combo treatment and suggested for HIM that I couldtry it. He accepted my suggestion and gace me T3. I was put "straight" on 40 mcg T3daily. Ok, we might have started lower, but I can only remember taking this amount. He is not an idiot, so I guess he upped the dose in a way!I

am NOT SURE if I felt ANY difference after adding T3. But it was MY idea to add it.I read in a magazine that many people feel much better on T3/T4-combo. So I tried it.MAYBE IT WAS A MISTAKE? Maybe I changed the course of destiny, and it's MY FAULTthat I am sitting here sick as lard right now........................ Maybe I should've sticked toT4-only?I do believe what most patients are saying: Synthetic T4 is not the best med for Hypothyroidism! I wish I could've taken ARMOUR (the original) from 1997 and up....I would probably have been healthy this day today if I did!You are really getting all the details about my condition now Val. And I thank you from the bottom of my tired heart that you are writing to me. Thank you, and thank you all for caring!Subject: Re: Re: Help - Heart just started beating VERY slowly and IRREGULARLYTo: RT3_T3 Date: Tuesday, January 5, 2010, 1:26 PM

"My TSH was low for 4 years, 0.01, because I was taking 40 mcg T3 along

with my 100 mcg T4. It's normal to have a zero-TSH when you take that

much T3, right? My Ferritin

was fine through all these years UNTIL 2008 when T3 was removed from me,

and T4

was first raised, then lowered and lowered with the goal of stopping all

meds."

I htnk adding the T3 was the right thing to do BUT he shoudl have

reduced T4 whne he idd it. As you got s much more T3 then T4 went too

high and started the Reve4se T3 problem and here oyu are. Once wiht high

RT3 and sitl constantly feeidng it wiht high T4 levels your T3 INSIDE

your cells went lower and lower and possibly causd the low ferritin. Dr

Broda lectured abotu lwo thyrodi causing ferritn to drop MANY

years ago in and NO doctors seemed ot have picked up on this. I have

cassette tapes of one of his lectures that included this informaiton. I

can;t remember if it si in his book or not. It has been YEARS since I

The endos in 2008 told me I was overdosed on T3! Nobody with an education's got ANY clues, huh!!!What I saw in my years on T4 and T3 combo was that the T4 was typically very low at10, and the FT3 was "perfect" at 6-7, in the upper range. And I felt good. However in the end... Yeah, something happened. But I didn't really have high FT4 levelsuntil 2008 when the endos upped T4-only to 150 mcg daily! How come I had so low T4 (10) levels while on 100 mcg T4 and 40 mcg T3?Subject: Re: Re: Help - Heart just started beating VERY slowly and IRREGULARLYTo:

19/10/2009 - FT4 13.0, FT3 7.1, TSH 1.41, rT3 0.38 (ratio mellom FT3 og

rT3: 18.8)

9/11/2009 - FT4 14.0, FT3 5.9, TSH 0.76, Tyroxin 117, Trijod 2.2, rT3 0.38

Between these two readings SOMETHING happened t make you worse. Your

FT3/RT3 ratio got MUCH worse. No change in thyroid meds to account for

this, just time and RT3 too high to begin wiht which proves (and I ahve

seen this before MANY times) that RT3 begets MORE RT3 if it si not

stopped. I also note your LAST labs your TSh is highest it has been

which i avtually beginning to reflect how hypo you really are. You

areinthe process of going from a Type2 to a normal hypothyroidism that

can be treated wiht normal doses of thyroid. You are gettign there..

slowly but things are improveing.

Ok. Well he did reduce T4 from like 125 mcg daily to 100 mcg dily when when he added 40 mcg T3 to my regime in 2004. You mena he should have lowered it even more? Like 75 mcg T4 dailyt? What do I do now if I get this ticklish fibrillation feeling again? What do I tell the ER people? How do they save me if it happens? My worry is that T3 is not going into my cells today. I take 25 mg HC and 100 mg iron daily. My Ferritin is low at 55 while on 100 mg iron, not breaking the supplementing before testing my blood.I am scared like heck that I will get fibrillation of any sort now. From:

It has been YEARS since I

read that book! LOL

27/07/2007: 68 Your low ferritin problem started HERE.

17/12/2007: 116 (this was in the period I got tachycardia every night,

and finally fibrillation 6 weeks later!) The higher Ferritin here is

from inflammation and not a true measure of real ferritin levels.

13/03/2008: 166 MORE inflammaiton possibly when your adernals crashed.

16/05/2008: 68 Did you per chance lower thyroid or start adaptogens for

adrenals here?

STARTED EATING GLUTEN-FREE HERE. Making my Ferritin go down?

17/06/2008: 78

24/09/2008: 52

No I do nto think going gluten free lowered your ferritin BUT it did

lower inflammation which made your ferritin LOOK high,. your ferritin

has been slowly but steadily droppign since 2007 when oyu probably got

your first RT3 issue.

How come I had so low T4 (10) levels while on 100 mcg T4 and 40 mcg T3?

Because your TSH was totally supressed, which is odd unless oyu have

slight pituitary malfunction or possibly Celiac caused this as it

interferes with HPA fiunction.
