Guest guest
YES! That's exactly what happened to me. Guest guest
Tracey, This just started for me in the 37th week and I don't recall it with any of my other pregnancies. However being that I am post WLS this pregnancy and weigh A LOT less this pregnancy, maybe that explains it. Thanks, Merry Re: Question Gee it sounds like everyone who has had this problem is pregnant. I've been trying to conceive and am late this month so i could only hope. Guest guest
Yes, yes, ((((Waveing my arms at ya)))) I am having those pains. But i am not pregnant, i don't think!! I had gastricbypass surgery Nov 20 2001 and it just started out of the blue. I'd be doing something and i'd get this funny click in my hip and then pain in my leg. It didn't take a whole lot of time for it to get better but it still hurt. Then the last time it happened i went into the house and laid down, i nodded off and when i got up again my leg felt like it was cold and like a toothache feels. So i called my family dr. I had to waint a whole week before i could see her so i went into the E.R. and what a quack!! He poked at my hip and then my back. And i had to say nothing at that point really hurt. He said i must of pulled a muscle and to see my regular dr. in acouple of days if the pain didn't go away. Anyways to make a long story short, i went into see my family dr. and she says it's my back, even thou i didn't have any back pain. So i had an M.R.I. done and still haven't herd the results. My family dr. also said it could be from the weight loss. Everything shifts.... I'll buy that. I've had chronic back pain for many years after working in a nursing home. If you go in and have it checked out PLEASE, let me know what they told you. Ok? Guest guest
Merry, Jerry and anyone else having either sacroiliac or sciatic pain--you don't have to suffer with it. Go to see a good chiropractor and all it will take is a few painless spinal/pelvic adjustments and it should alleviate that shooting pain. Plus it will ease your labor and put the baby in a good position for birth as well. Don't suffer if you don't have to.... that's become my motto in life. ) Bridget > hi everyone - > > I have a question. Guest guest
I am glad someone else mentioned chiropractic care - I worked with several chiropractors over the last few years and I watched several pregnant patients come in so miserable and they were treated wonderfully by the dr. If you have a fear of chiropractic manipulation - you could also try a masseuse for a good massage. ===== *:»§«:*Tina*:»§«:* Open RNY 3-2-2001 396 B4 surgery, 343 at surgery, down to 217 PREGNANT -- due 12-5-02 (have 4 girls, now praying for a boy!!) iel Lorne or Reilly Kathleen ? __________________________________________________
Guest guest
NO YOU shpuld not be concerned, that is the worst thing you can do for your pregnancy. Many people continue to lose weight at teh beginning of preg. Esp if you were still losing adn you have morning sickness or food aversions. Just try to eat healthy, protein first and you should be fine. I gained about 22 pounds and continue losing at least through the fist 45 months. Lenore question Hi, I joined this group about a year ago when my surgeon gave me the ok to try and get pregnant. I had open RYN surgery on June 17, 1999. I started at 274 pounds, size 24 womens clothing. I ended up around 157, size 10, a year later and ended up back around 168 before I got pregnant. I have heard it's common to gain a little back between 2-3 years out. I am 13.5 weeks pregnant. I am starting to get concerned because I am losing weight. Pre-pregnancy, I was weighing about 168. This morning I weighed 158.5. So, I have lost about 10 pounds since I have been pregnant. In the beginning, I thought it was because I was nauseous 24/7 for about a month and a half. Well, I am not nauseous very often anymore and the scale keeps going down. I would like to hear from those of you that have had surgery and who are farther along in their pregnancy. When did you start to gain weight? How much weight did you gain in your pregnancy (for those who have just had babies or towards the end of their pregnancy.) Do you think I should be concerned? Thank you in advance, Edon, Ohio Open RNY 6-17-99 274/158.5 (3 months pregnant) Children are a blessing, and a gift from the Lord. -Psalm 127:
Guest guest
- I was in the mid 190's when I first got pregnant and am now down to 180. I am 16 weeks along and haven't lost anything for the past few weeks so things look like they are leveling off. My docs all told me not to worry, make sure I get in my protein and the baby will be a good parasite and take what it needs. Its a fact that some 'normal' people lose or don't gain during pregnancy. Don't worry! Just make sure you are taking your vits and eating well.
