Guest guest
I drink decaf iced tea with splenda to sweeten it.... I really enjoy it hot or cold to be honest Giving up Carbonation The hardest thing for me if I am able to have surgery will be giving up my diet pepsi's. I know that water is the primary source of fluid after surgery, but what about Iced Tea? I use Splenda to sweeten my iced tea and I wondered if it will be ok to drink in moderation. What can we drink? I hear about water, protein drinks, and gatorade. Just trying to be prepared. thanks, stacie To Subscribe to 's weekly FREE Newsletter send an email to GBCookbook-subscribe@... Guest guest
Stacie - Gatorade is loaded with sugar and is really only drunk if your electrolytes are too low after surgery. Tea is OK in moderation, but some people who are susceptible to kidney stones may get them from drinking tea. Crystal Light is another good choice. And you might get used to the water, and find that you actually crave it. Don't fret. You can always let the Diet Pepsi go flat and then drink it. Yuck?! Guest guest
I've tried all the Diet Teas and to put it bluntly .. YUCK! They're way too strong and have really artifical tastes, to me. Regular tea bags, caffeine free or otherwise, brewed with one packet of Splenda for sweetening works for me too. Love, Trace Open RNY -- 9/5/02 Dr. Schechner, Norfolk and Va.
