Guest guest
Welcome , may be call you Kimberley F as we have two other 's in the group. I'm sorry you are feeling so down but now you are here in this group, I hope you can use us to vent every time you are feeling like this and we will help you because we all understand how you are feeling. If you look at the member's profile on the Ashermans site, you will find other members from Canada to see which doctors they have used to help them with their ashermans. The two that come to mind now are Dr Vilos and Dr Leyland. Maybe the other Canadian ladies can tell you a bit about them. If of course you are able to travel to the States to see an A list doctor, then you should not hesitate and you will not regret it. Please ask us any questions you have and we are all here to help you get answers. Poly

Guest guest
, I think the others emailed you regarding there recommendations. There are also a handful of doctors that are good near NYC. I know it is a bit of a trip (5 hours I think), but they are all worth it. Happy Birthday! i am so sorry you were not able to celebrate more! K kimberly furtado wrote: Hi everyone, Well I am new to this group but I am so thankful for it's existence. Even in the short time that I have been a member (1 1/2 days) I have read so much. Today is my 31st birthday and considering they are supposed to be celebratory, I have never been so saddened in my whole life. For background, I have not been formally diagnosed with Asherman's but believe I am a victim of it give that I had a D and C in March 2002 and no period since. I get severe abdominal cramping and you could have set the calendar to my cycle previously. Of course, I have gone repeatedly to my doctor (s) and nobody seems to be concerned. Just keep telling me it is the trauma that I have experienced over the last while and that I am depressed. Nobody will take my concerns seriously and I am in desperate need of a good doctor so if anybody lives in Toronto or even in upper state new york or michigan (like the detroit area) and knows of a good physician, I am desperate! I want to save my fertility if at all possible. I have no children and my one and only pregnancy in December/January 2002, well, was not viable. So now here I am 31, no children, I am facing the possibility that I will be incapable of having children and nobody in the medical profession will listen. Guest guest
, I think that this is unusual. They really only need to dialate you a few cm for a d and c. Please do not beat yourself up. There are so many wierd stories that went on with all of us, we could write a book! My only comment is that I would not continue with that particular doctor! We all ran away from our once trusted OB doctor! k kimberly furtado wrote: Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: Click Here

Guest guest
Debra: I am currently awaiting a second ablation (scheduled for a week from this coming Monday) and my TG was 126 in July 2002 when I had a FBS. My TT occured in August 2001. Jim (unknown) Wow! In preparation for my WBS on 10/25 and then RAI on 10/28 I went to have my TSH checked today and it's only at 11.52. This is a surprise since I have been off Synthroid since 9/19 and off Cytomel since this Monday. last time I was off Synthroid it only took one week to hit a TSH of 79! I am wondering if these low TSH means that the tissue that has come back after my TT in 10/99 is actually working and functioning as a thyroid gland. It appears to me that it is making the hormone thus the TSH isn't shooting up like before right after the TOTAL thyroid was removed. Is my body trying to make a thryoid gland again? You see, due to the pharmacy making a dosage error, I took only .75mg of Synthroid instead of my normal 175mg from Jan thru March of this year. In Dec (before the mix up) my TG was negative, thus where it should be. How we found out that my Cancer (Thyroid Tissue) came back is, my TG in September was 48 which is what people with NORMAL FUNCTIONAL thyroid glands can have!! I don't think I have come across anyone on this board yet who has had a TT report a TG anywhere near that high, right? What a crazy thing - maybe you and some of the other great helpers here can help me understand this better. In effect, could I be planning to ablate normal healthy thyroid tissue that is trying to compensate for my TT? It's my understanding that only a biopsy of the tissue can tell but then one biopsy can't cover the whole area and won't then it just keep growing? I'm getting kinda scared - could this mean I have lots of Cancer now. Can those Cancer cells produce normal Thyroid Hormone? If I have all this tissue growing, how is my TSH going to get high enough to ablate it. Of course, now this is blowing my schedule to pieces as I have a friend coming out from CA to provide childcare for he week following my ablation. The glowing mommy finally gets it all arranged, ticket bought and now this. Ugh. Thanks! Guest guest
Hi Jim, Thanks for your response to my post. If you don't mind sharing can you feel me in on a few things? Did your TG go down sinificantly after the first ablation and then rise back up or was there an uptake issue with the first ablation?. May I ask how much RAI was used and how much are they planning on using this time? Do you know your current TSH? We are schedule for our ablation doses on the same day if my TSH gets high enough. Are you on the LID to prepare for the best RAI uptake as possible? Here's to a great uptake and ablation!
