These were the instructions I got from a helpful list member, so I'll

pass them on. I got 50 mg pills, not capsules, so I'm not sure the

same instructions would apply. I asked my pharmacist for a bottle and

something to measure the small doses with, and he gave me an orange

plastic bottle and needle-less syringe for free. I don't find it

bitter at all; I just put it in a cup with water.

Unfortunately this doesn't work with 4.5mg capsules. There is a lot of

filler in the capsule. Actually I've realized what a person can do:

If someone opened the capsule and dissolved the contents of it into 2

Tablespoons of water and then drank 1 Tablespoon of the liquid, that would

give them a dose of 2.25mg.

If a person dissolved the contents of the capsule into 3 Tablespoons of

water and then drank 1 Tablespoon of the liquid, that would give them a

dose of 1.12mg.

The remaining liquid should be refrigerated and can be taken on the next

two subsequent nights.

i want to thank all of you who answered me on my whining.... god

bless you all.

we will go to the hospital tomorrow for the dr.'s to put a tube with

light on it, into tom's lungs. they will find out if there is a tumor

or not. hopefully they'll find out where the blood is coming from.

my mama is still the same, .... she's old and not got anything else to

build back on. i just hope i can go and see her, after we get the

results on tom's tests.

i've taken my third fentonol patch now, one every 72 hours. i don't

see much difference in my pain relief yet. still taking 30mg of lortab

a day, for the breakthru pain. ....lol.... there is no " breakthru "

pain.....its constant...there are so many people on here, that take so

many different kinds of pain meds, its just finding the right ones. by

the time you find one that works, its stops because you've been taking

it so long... but,....i wake up every morning, look outside, and

thank God i'm here. spring is so beautifull. i finally got a golf cart

to ride around the yard in. it had been so long since i'd been able

to get outside and just get around to look at every thing. wish i

could get in the dirt again and have a garden and flowers.

thank you all again. its good to see e mails from you all, knowing you

all care. i love you all. this group is my family , to talk to ya'll,

.....nobody else understands.

i type with one, or two fingers....my hands are messed up...lol....

joints look like z " s....lol....

have a good day ya'll. take good care of yourselves.

Betty,

I am so pleased the world looks brighter today.  Spring is wonderful.

Weather affects our physical and emotional pain a lot.

I pray your husbands tests are optimistic.

May your Mother be comfortable.

Cordially,

Raniolo

Hi Betty.

I hope Tom fares well with the test results.

I was so sorry to read that your Mother is so sick.  I so hope you are able to

go and see her.  I am sure she will be so very happy to see you.

I am happy you got a golf cart and now can go out in your yard.  Yes, I love

the Spring and I love to have a flower garden also.  My son has made a nice

small flower garden outside my bedroom window, and he plants the flowers for me

as I can;t get down into the dirt.  It is my Cape Cod garden.  Today I decided

to go to Lowe;s and check out thier flowers.  I was happy I did.  I bought 3

pink Hydrangers which I love, and a white Jasmine vine for my little garden.  I

have a nice metal trellis so the Jasmine will like that!  I too love to be

outside when I can.  I am happy for you that you can now go out anytime you

want.  I love the fresh air and all of nature.

I hope your pain patches begin to work for you and get you out of all your

pain.  My girlfriend has them and she had to get a stronger dose to get rid of

her pain, and that worked well for her.

Go outside as much as you can, I know you will love it.

I know you are suffering so much now, and I wish you many, many pain free days

ahead.

Hugs,

Barbara
