Have you heard of the Low Carb Cookbook by Fran McCullough? I discovered it

several weeks ago and i've been really enjoying cooking again. And so far

everything I've tried has been great. Have a great day

Hi Ruth

Welcome and yes, I think you can find lots of support here--we all have the

same goals--eat well, lose weight and have fun.

Hi, I am 34 yr old SAHM of 2 boys. I am on day 3 of induction. I have 15-20

lbs to lose so I know it will probably be slow. I am really enjoying this list

and all the great support and recipes everyone has

shared.

Beth,

Welcome to the list. It does go slow, but it's healthier than losing it in a

month and then gaining it back even faster!

Penny

Howdy all

I am new to the list. I tried the Adkin's diet for the first time a few

months ago and easily lost 15 lbs. It was an eye opener to me. I really liked

the fact that I didn't have to worry so much about

portion control. Anyway, I got tired of the same foods and went off of it. I

have not gained the 15 lbs back but I have another 40 lbs to lose and would like

to go back on the diet. I was hopeful by joining

this list I would find how to be more creative with the limited food choices.

I am a registered nurse and an avid horse person. That's my story. I am

looking forward to getting to know the other members on the list and successful

weight loss.

, Onions are high in carbs, use Green onions they are much lower.

Tomatoes are high too I do without now. Other wise the salad sounds good

And even though it is more mail I do like reading the chatty posts and

the people that I am counting on to support me as I try to change my way of

eating. I know it is a lot of mail but to me it is worth it to have good

support! I have been on other lists that are merely informative with no

support. That is not what I was looking for this time! I love it here! I

hope you (original poster) will too..... Teena

SPLAT!! LOL!!

Just kidding Celia, Maybe the " greats " could go to individuals, I like seeing

people get supported too though, It makes me feel like there is someone there

for me too. You know what I mean??

Celia- dont mean to sound rude or anything.... but this is kinda what

our list is all about! I understand what you are saying.... but we feel

(guess i shouldnt speak for everyone) I feel that people are on this

list for advise and encouragement and I know I enjoy hearing a little

hip hip hurray! and also enjoy seeing everyone giving it to the rest of

the list. Maybe you should go to digest (if you are not already) and

this would limit the individual emails you get.

Mol

if i'm out of line... let me know.. this is just what i think the list

is for!

ah, geez...all i insinuated was that maybe some of the posters who wanted to

say something short to a specific person could say it directly. or maybe at

the least, change the subject line to read " congrats " or something instead

of leaving the subject line intact for days (not only on this list, on many)

........

I personally think the one liners <if I know what they are refering to>

are great as it is not alot of word needed and alot of times the whole

list benefits. you are not just writing to oneperson andif thre is

something persponal I want to say to somebody I DO E-mail THEM

personally but to go along with the conversation it helps to have allthe

parts of if...it is a learning and sharing time. my 2 cents
