Hi Sue

Thanks for the welcome. I am just starting Atkins. Have about 75 pounds to

lose and have tried all the " conventional " methods including weight watchers

and some expensive diet centers. I am tired of weighing and measuring all

my food, and falling asleep after eating pasta or anything else high in

carbs. Looking forward to all the help and support from the list.

Hey you guys,

I got some good news and some bad news. The good news is, my husband is

coming home on the 19th instead of the 25th!!!! The bad news is, I didn't

get down to where I wanted to be by the time he got home, BUT - I am 16lbs

lighter than the last time he saw me and he thinks I have gained weight cause

that's what I told him!!! He will still be surprised and I am going keep on

working on it!!

Yes, it will be right out of a movie or something because he is a pilot and I

get to meet him on the tarmac, right where the plane will land. Other wives

will be there too to see their dh's but it'll be fun because he has to find

me first!!

Hello, my name is Vickie. I am trying to talk myself into starting the

Atkins diet. I need to lose about l50 lbs. I am afraid that if I start a

diet that I will lose and then gain it back and then some. Can you tell me

some ideals for quick meals? It seems like my life I am always doing 10

things at once except taking care of myself. Please help me if you can.

Thank you.

Thank you for the welcome. I am home today waiting for the plumber. I am

not doing to well getting started on the diet. I plan to do some advance

cooking tonight, when I can use my kitchen sink. Thanks again. Vickie

Hi, I'm Barbara, I'm 44 years old and have gained 22 pounds in the last year.

I started Atkins on the 9th of August and have lost 6 pounds in 13 days.

All 6 pounds were lost in the first week. Today I decided to cut out the

cheese and salad in hopes of starting weight loss again. I have been

snacking on string cheese to curb in-between meal hunger. What about pork

rinds? Are they a " free " food and if so how free are they? Can I eat as many

as I want and would this be a better snack than string cheese since they

don't have any carbs?

Thanks

Barbara

I'm new to the list and just wanted to introduce

myself.

I am a 48 yr old male who has once had a lot of

success at low-carbing. I originally lost about 50

pounds in about three months. I was so close to goal,

that I thought I had better start slowing the weight

loss down- and promptly stalled myself out! Haven't

lost more than three pounds since! Oh well!

Finally, I had been following the PP plan, but since

I've gotten nowhere lately, I am considering starting

Atkins from induction day 1 on
