Lyme makes its way to the brain in 10 days in some cases. I really don't

know how long I have had it. I got really sick in 1996 and was in deer tic

area the summer before. But when I was 14 I was bitten by multiple tics

that were on my body for a day or more so my doc thinks it was then.

My symptoms were constant infections, sinus, flu, colds, feeling horrible.

I had been a long distance swimmer and extremely athletic and suddenly I had

no stamina. I found out after years of suffering that I had growth hormone

deficiency and injecting growth hormone stopped the infections.

I just had extreme fatigue, got heavy, had no exercise tolerance. Just felt

very very old at 40. I was either very hot or very cold, had pains and

aches, constant headaches and migraines, felt like I had the flu when I woke

up every morning.

I got a diagnosis of FM with no treatment and had to find growth hormone on

my own. Got it from an endocrinologist in Kansas, who lost her license for

overdiagnosing' growth hormone deficiency. She is the one who thought I

could have Lyme and she had me tested. When I was positive she referred me

to a Lyme doc in Missouri.

Just tired all the time, memory going-feels like Alzheimers (Lyme has been

found in the brains of Alzheimers patients during autopsy), MS symptoms.

Tired but can't sleep, multiple endocrine problems, early menopause.

How long have you had Lyme? Also, maybe it would help some here to

know what symptoms you had before you found out it was lyme? (only if

you want to!) The problem is everyone reacts differently. Some are

worse than others so that alone makes it a more difficult diagnosis.

I thank God my son got an EM rash. By the time I realized, it was

all over his body, including his face. Made the diagnosis very

easy. And, now? He is still not the same and he supposedly only had

active infection for about 4-6 weeks.....if I had followed what the

doctors here prescribed, he would be even worse! 3-4 weeks of ABX's

my a--! Our children deserve better than this! (sorry for the

rant!)

When I had my shingles outbreak in my 20's, I suspect I was exposed

via a woman in the accounting department. Her daughter (or

granddaugher?) had chickenpox at the time. I only had contact with

her a few times a week, but it seems I picked up something thru her

as I came down with shingle just after that.

I hope I never have a reoccurance. It was the most painful 2 weeks

of my life. Yeeeowch!

I've had shingle 4 times now. I din't get them the first time til

after I had been diagnosed with hypo. I only took syn crap for about

a month and then learned about Armour and switched. I had the last

shingles attack about a month ago. And yes... my life is quite

stressful at times.

I have a gentleman in my department who is on medical leave from Shingles. Any

suggestions to help ease the pain would be welcomed. He had heart surgery and

that, he thinks, set it off. All over his back and part of his chest. Amy the

Thanks for sharing ! I really hope that a few have been helped

or are at least considering the possibility that they are infected.

Your symptoms sound alot like mine do.....My son's brain was affected

very early on....he used to be a straight A student and now has to

work harder and harder and he was treated for 4 mos. My oldest also

has vague aches and pains (FM symptoms) and very bad heel & ankle

pain, ADHD, learning problems etc.....Both have red eyes, as do I and

my husband. As soon as I am stable on HC, I will go back on the Salt

& Vit. C protocal as that did help. The boys will be back on it as

well. :0)
