Here I remind myself that its not just me, someone else will see what the scales says. Hopefully this will help... last night I attended my 3rd meeting, and I went alone (which in itself says alot.. if I made myself go without the neighbor, I must want to do this)

,

Welcome! The weigh in's are what help me the most. I use the "prepay" plan because I MUST go and I don't want to WASTE money. I have to really talk to myself on Weigh IN days especially if I feel like I have gained. Usually, I am wrong and then I am so glad that I trudged into the meeting alone. Keep on trucking!

Jen,

I really admire your determination to set weight goals during your pregnancy

and to join WW so soon after giving birth (congrats on your new one). I

completely agree with you about needed the WW meetings for the

accountability - I will lie to myself about my weight but when it's someone

else weighing me I know that the lying stops there! Welcome to a great

group!

Thanx.. thats encouraging to know...sometimes thats what it takes is

just to talk it out... im tryin something new with a friend online,

Im journaling in email. right now im a stay-at-home mom and spend

alot of time at the computer... i enjoy the boards and like to meet

new ppl... so since i was horrid at journaling on paper.. im tryin

the computer as tool.. i have found myself putting my feelings down

too.. like am i hungry when i ate that.. or i know i shouldnt have..

and today .. for the first time that ive been counting.. i stayed

within my points! Celebrate for me... I get to move onto tomorrow..

and keep up the positive attitude.. cuz when i give in and go over

points, its like a battle lost for me and then the next day i just

cant seem to get the momentum that i should have. Finding all kinds

of new things that i can use as tools to remind myself how important

weight loss is in my life now. I love the one " nothing takes as

good as thin feels " I have been overweight for as long as i can

remember and just for once, i would like to walk up to someone and

have them not realize who I am.. not because of gaining weight.. but

because i lost so much that i seriously look like a new me! thats the

me im shooting for!

Hello and Welcome to the group !! Hey - since we are picking up 's maybe we should have a Challenger's group to go with the Sherrie Challenger's - LOL!!! I'm so glad you joined us!! You'll find *lots* of wonderful people here!!

~ Z~

Hi everyone,

I met Z on another list and was really impressed with her attitude and willingness to help others (I also adore her recipes), so I decided to join this list.

I am 53 years old, mother of 4 and grandmother to 4. Married for 33 years. I gained weight after quitting smoking back in Feb. My husband, myself and 2 other couples are doing the WW program on our own because there are not any meetings close by.

(I call myself a "happy home_doer)

I look forward to getting to know you all.

Hi H.,

It is great having you (and your DH and friends) as part of the group. I don't post much but enjoy reading and delighting in everyone else's successes. I just had to note that we have a lot in common...4 children and 4 grandchildren....but I am older (darn it!) than you. Will be 60 in January and am hoping to be at goal minus another 5 pounds by then. It is going real slow for me....but that is because I am "close" to goal... and the last few are the hardest! I need a jump start and the Italian sausage tonight was NOT IT! Yikes!

Just had to say hello...and welcome....(and thanks to Z. for all you do!)

Welcome to the group! We look forward to getting to know you. I just found out last night we are having our third grand child next year. Our son and his girlfriend are pregnant and getting married in 3 weeks. She has 2 girls so we will be blessed with 2 more grandchildren even sooner. I can't wait!
