AMEN to the ADHD comment MM! We have one out of our six with adhd and I CAN

NOT imagine going another day without meds. That poor kid was just as

miserable as we were when we tried to take him off. He just could not handle

himself and we did EVERYTHING we were told to try. I just couldn't take it

anymore, I just felt so bad for him. Now he is like a different kid. He takes

adderal as well.

a, Yup. I fought for a couple of years to avoid putting either of mine

on any meds, especially as they were drug exposed and premature infants.

But, once they got

to school, and other people got a load of what they were like during the day,

the school said they needed something to function in school. We tried all

the herbals and

organics recommended, including diet changes, etc. They just didn't have any

effect

at all. So, we went to Adderol. I hate Ritalin, the old way. We tried that

with my

eldest son, and when it wore off he was a wild animal. No kidding. Adderol

is so much easier on their systems, and even when it wears off, the effect is

much less

noticeable than Ritalin. Glad you found it, too. Hugs, MM

My name is Connie too and I live in WV. I just moved back here from Wilmington, DE.

I have lupus and lots of fun stuff that go along with it.

We are a friendly group of people and soon you will figure out who is who.

Welcome to the group. What you are feeling is natural. Its the fear of the

unknown that scares a person.

Some of us go to The Komen Race for the Cure races and we went to DesMoines

one year.

We normally don't have chat anymore as Yahoo can be a real pain in the butt.

I moderate everyone till I know what they are posting about and was going to

take you off of moderation but Yahoo doesn't have you listed yet. Hang in

there with me. I will do it as soon as your name comes up.

You are in my prayers.

Hello - Welcome to this group!! You will fid a lot of love and support here - it is a wonderful group of people!! I think it is normal to worry about the worst - of course it is important to keep a positive attitude but the fears and "what ifs" that you are experiencing is exactly what happened with me. This is a very safe place to let go of what you are thinking....sure helped me get through all of the "waiting" periods. I am sending good thoughts your way. Sue

Hi, Carol - - and welcome to the TexasTOPS site; I am new to the loop, also - - but am really enjoying the communication and support these people hand out so generously! They really have "TOPS HEARTS".

I am also a new KOPS (made KOPS in May), even though I have belonged to TOPS for 25 years. I've tried every diet in the world, and have lost hundreds of pounds, but was never able to stick to anything that I could really call a "lifestyle" change until January of this year when I got on The South Beach Diet. It is GOOD/LOW FAT & GOOD/LOW CARB, and allows me to eat most of the foods I like! I can even have snacks that no other diet allows! The secret is finding something that works for YOU - - -
