Guest guest
JUST SAY NO the inherent dangers to the vaccines far outweigh any current potential risks from the diseases. The hep vaccines are particularly dangerous, cause brain damage and seriously hep is easily avoidable with a little common sense and education. Every year more people die from the meningitis vaccine than from meningitis. Guest guest
Actually, there are two exceptions where there is only the possibility for a doctor to exempt a child -- West Virginia, and one other state which I forget. Guest guest
I live in WV. Other wise my daughter would have gotten NO vacc. Fortunately she had no severe reations with immediate damage but ---- I feel certain there is a connection to a vision problems 4 yrs old that appeared after a set of vacc needed to enter kindergarten. I think it was the measles/mump vac. Her other issues that may or may not be connected, is that she has developed psoriasis. Guest guest
i am afraid i havent been paying attention to this well enough, so please forgive me if i am talking about something that hasnt even been brought up, or perhaps has. i joined this group actually on behalf of my husband, who now is really more into eating according to his genotype, although either way (genotype or bloodtype) my husband is a staunch supportor of dadamo's.  what i wanted to say is i have mixed feelings about immunizations. but i do have concerns and when my daughter was three or four, after she had had two of the mmr vaccinations, i took her to a doctor who tested her blood and found that she was immune to the big three:  measles, mumps and rubella. this avoided my need to get her the rest (one or two) of the mmr vaccinations.  he kindly wrote a note indicating this, which i brought to my daughters school which eliminated the vaccine requirement for the school. i do now have concerns about the chicken pox vaccine, which my daughters doctor mentions everytime i bring her to him. my concern is not so much that she will get it, but that it will leave scars on her face.  once again, i apologize if i touched on a subject thats already been discussed. thanks, dawn Re: immunizations I live in WV.
