Guest guest
I have a question, How do you feel about those replacement shakes? like glucerna, and choice? those are the only two that I know of? Guest guest
ya, good stuff Harry. Just have fun folks experimenting. I have done for breakfast... bunch of lettuce in a bowl, two scrambled eggs over it, hot, bacon, cheese, dash of hot sauce, and pepper. Odd contraption but tastes pretty good. I look at it this way, I replace bread with lettuce. I just put everything I would eat on bread in a bowl over lettuce. Guest guest
I don't know any thing about replacement shakes. All I know is if it is mostly milk, I avoid it. What do these replacement shakes replace? Guest guest
hey Harry/Jerry, no offense, but can you please pull this over to the Jerry and Harry thread so Theresa can check her own thread for information. We try to keep things in everyone's own thread for easy access and prevent having to wade through non-relevant posts in the wrong thread *smile*. Thanks. Guest guest
Lipton tea is just fine as well as all other raw teas in bags or loose leaf kind. None of them have carbs in them unless sugar is added. Re: 's time > I use lipton is that ok? I don't know of any diet tea? > Best regards, > Bonnecarre > ----- Original Mess
Guest guest
you can drink the chrystal light ice tea since it is made with nutra sweet. You can also make yor own sun tea, which I do,and put nutra sweet or splenda in it with a pinch of lemon over ice and yummie! Guest guest
no, lipton is not diet unless you specifically get diet lipton and diet lipton only comes in a 20 ounce bottle and not in a big can like the sweatened lipton crap. Get chrystal light ice tea it is great! and is sugar free! Guest guest
if any food you have per serving is greater than 10 grams of carbs pitch it. Have your boy friend read the label if he is sighted and look at the carb grams. If the grams are greater than 10 pitch the food. Guest guest
Hmm, what on Earth is diet tea? Cy, The Ancient One... Re: 's time Just a little carrot will not be many carbs at all. Probably a little carrot will be only two or three grams of carbs and it adds a slight sweet flavor to your salads or slaw. Don't cry. You can drink all the diet tea you like or just make it yourself. My tea has no carbs in it at all, and I sweeten it with Splenda or stevia. Guest guest
you should try sardines and scrambled eggs some times for breakfast. not bad. of course most people don't like fish of any king. I told the lady at the diabetic clinic this is what I enjoy for breakfast, she thought I was nuts. but it is very low carb friendly and I like it to boot. Guest guest
I replace the bread with celery. a doctor told me one time, if I ate six stalks of celery per day, it would control my high blood presser. you know what, saw bones was right and I like celery as well. Guest guest
I love sardines. I like them for breakfast and as a topping for my salads. I also eat a can of sardines as a lunch or a snack. I like to put a teaspoon of vinegar on it. 's time > > > > > > > > > > > > > I was wondering if I should post my diet on here , and you guys > can > > > help > > > > up with a better one? Guest guest
Sardines on a saltine or a wheat cracker is great. For lunch I some times eat sardines on a cracker, since each cracker only contains 2 carbs. So I eat five or six crackers piled with sardines on it. Guest guest
ya, lots of good stuff you can put on crackers but like you say Harry, each cracker has about 2 grams of carbs regardless if saltine or rits etc. Regards, 's time > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I was wondering if I should post my diet on here , and you > guys > > can > > > > help > > > > > up with a better one? Guest guest
All I can say about sardines is that if you could see them, you wouldn't want to eat them. Guest guest
When I could see, I ate them any how, because they taste good. In fact I preferred them over caviar. Guest guest
I use to be able to see when I was a younger man, and it didn't bother me then to see the heads on the sardines. I think sardines are one of the best things you can eat for good health. just close your eyes when you eat them and this way they don't scare up at you.
