>Pat, welcome to the group. I am sorry about your car accident. I herniated a

disk in my back in 1985 and still have some problems with it. I know how it

feels when you get another set back. Car accidents are terrifying when you have

had a history of spinal injuries. You just don't want to face the pain,

depression, and fustration again. Definitely check out Debbie and my

introductions in the meet the member secion at our web site

(http:/taeboon/isportsdot.com).

Your idea of a 21DC with some kind of exercise each day is a good one.

In 1985, none of the doctors encouraged me to exercise (just bed rest,

they said) and I got so much worse from the lack of exercise and all the

pain medicine. After surgery, a new doctor made me exercise, starting

with walking, swimming, and then a stationary bicycle. I did so much

better. Now, I still have a bulging disk in my lower back, but I do

advanced taebo tapes 6 days a week, lift free weights 3 days a week, and

do yoga 5 days a week. If I had to do it all over again, I would

definitely have started yoga back in 1985 (heck, I wish I had started as

a child). Do you stretch, too? That really helps me.

Good luck,

Elena

,

I think you will find that the folks are here are MORE than willing to help

you with all of your questions. Plus, many of us are moms and know how you

feel. Babies do not have to ruin your figure. It is not getting back into

shape that ruins it. With all the motivation and answers you can get from

here, there should be no reason for you not to get back your wonderful figure

and in a short amount of time.

Hi , Welcome and congratulations on the baby. I'm sure you will get a

lot out of being with this group - and if you are too worried about how you

will look after you have had your baby, ask Laury for a pic of herself. You

won't find better inspiration! Good Luck, Leaner.

Bree...

Welcome! Wow! you are at an advantage with your past fitness sense!

Like you, I had previous weight training experience (not that my

photos showed it). I immediately feel in love with Bill's program

and still love it! It has given me the body I've always wanted

(still a work in progress, though).

Some like to eat Low Fat Cottage Cheese with thier oatmeal. I tried

it, but didn't like it. One thing I did try that I liked was mixing

a serving of Simply Protein (Strawberry) with 4 oz. of skim milk and

pouring some of it in my oatmeal and drinking the rest with my meal.

There are great recipe sites and clubs out there, but I don't have

the URLs, but I'm sure someone else will come to your rescue.

Good luck with the husband. I have been trying to get mine to join

in since my first round back in January. Even seeing my results

hasn't swayed him, but I'm not giving up!

Good Luck!

I use 1/2 a cup of regular oats and grind them in the blender first till

them are fine.

This I a very good breakfast with sugarfree preserves on top.

Welcome Jill, and good luck with your program. Between your home gym and running after your kids, you should get good results. All the best, Leaner.

Welcome Gene. What are your current stats and what are your goals? What

did you learn most about in the first round that will help you be successful

in this second? Kit

Thanks, Kit! For the first round I started at 32% body fat and 232

lbs. I finished at 20% bf and 200 lbs. I'm currently at 18.2% bf

and 198 lbs.

My goals this time around to to get as close to 10%bf as I can. I'm

not as concerned about where the lbs end up so long as they are the

right kind of lbs! LOL

I think the things I learned last time that will help this time are

(1) free days are a good thing ;) (2) I learned not to beat myself up

for missing a workout or a meal and took Bill's advice to chalk it up

to experience and move on from there and (3) perhaps most important,

if I set out to do it I can accomplish it!

I'm looking forward to seeing what all of you are doing and learning

all I can. Hopefully I can contribute something in return. What

I've found is that sometimes the " obvious " can be a revelation to

someone else.

Thanks Gene! Sounds like three very good lessons. People have limited

energy and if all the energy directed in a negative way to their failures

was applied to getting back on track, their future success would be assured.

Have a great round! Kit
