na,

Welcome to the group! Wow...that's quite an accomplishment starting

right in with the Advanced. Please make sure you have at least done

the instructional tape at least once (if you are anything like I was

when I started, I just wanted to jump right in...but it's really

important to make sure you have the correct form. It will really help

you see results if you are executing the moves correctly, plus you'll

be less likely to injure yourself). Anyway, it sounds like you have a

great workout schedule. And I'm glad you were able to get re-motivated

after the holidays!

The " tapes " are the way everyone here refers to the tapes in

the new live 4-pack because I was lucky enough to go to the tapings

back in November and am in the basic and advanced tapes.....so that's

just our way of telling them apart from the original 4 pack of tapes.

The " lake " is what they refer to the section of the message boards

called " Questions for Taeboqueen " . I think somebody just started

calling it the Lake awhile ago and it sort of stuck. I'm not sure

exactly how it got started, but it's just the way they refer to that

section. I think it's also been called Lake Taeboqueen....or just the

" lake " .

Let us know if you have any more questions and I hope you find

additional support and motivation from this group! It's a wonderful

group of people!

,

thanks for the welcome, and from everyone! I did not

do the instructional, but since I have done it 15

times or so, I guess I got the hang of it. Alot of

those moves are simalar to an aeroboxing class I used

to take, so the first time I did it, I just paid close

attention. as for injury, so far so good. As I said, I

have been excerciseing for years (had open heart

surgery as a kid, they like ya to keep fit after that)

and the only injury I have ever had was a pulled

gastrod. Painful, but it was years ago.

Thanks for the answers to the lake and

question. I do not have the 4 pack, but if I get them,

what are you wearing so I can tell who you are?

Hi na! Welcome (this is coming from a new person here too:)!) I

was wondering the same thing about the tapes - I figured it was

the that posts here on them. That is what is so neat, you meet

people on the boards that go to the tapings and one day you get to

" meet " them in person as you work out! You don't get that with any

other workout tape. The " Lake " is just what the refer to as the

Questions for TaeboQueen message boards. With your 20 minute weight

workout, do you use a tape or your own made-up one? I ask because I

just started doing this again (I have Tae-boed a year and I did weights

at the beginning) but I use the Kathy 20 minute workout and I am

already bored with it. You are lucky that you were already fit and

congrats on those four pounds!!!

I use my own weight workout. I have a sort of gym in

my basement. My DH works out, so I just do what he

does, but drop the weight. Only upper body though,

since my butt gets a workout from tae bo, escpcially

the advanced studio.

Welcome Pat!! Sorry to hear about your accident, but I am glad to hear

you are back in the tae-bo ballgame!!! You will find lots of

inspiration and motivation here. On my worst days, it boosts my mood

and reminds me what I love about tae-bo. On my best days, I try to

share some of the positive energy I have. And on all days, I find a

terrific group of people who truly want to help each other reach their

goals. Good luck and keep everyone posted on your progress!--G

getting back into working out.

Did you say hottub? ::perk::

Hi Pat-Welcome! I'm sorry to hear about your car accident. I've been

there. If you like, you can read my intro at our Tae Bo page.

I strongly suggest adding walking to your schedule. It's an

excellent workout and will help your back.

Remember, you can do this!
