Morning, ;

Had a horrible night last night. I have gall stones and suffer thru an

attack once or twice a year. Last night was one of those. So I feel like

road kill this morning and I have cancelled a visit with my s.i.l. today,

which saddens me, but I am going to get some rest and then do some exercise.

Thank you so much for being here and helping me with this challenge.

By the way, after promising to join Wynn in the running challenge, I never

reported back as to how much it helped!

I first committed to running last Wednesday. A day I usually work at home,

so I thought it would be easy. I ended up going to the office, and not

getting home until around 8:30pm.... I was tired. I neeeeeed my sleep.

That's a promise to myself. But I also promised myself a run--planning on

around 40 minutes. Soooooo... I ran for 20min. Felt great, honored my

promises, slept well.

I've had another two good runs since then, and there were 3 days that got in

a 30-min walk. Not bad for chaos week!

There were a couple of times that I was sort of wavering, but thought of

Wynn, and did it anyway. So thanks!!

PS: Next week I'll work in a little strength trainging for variety....

Oh wynn, I'm so sorry. I hope that you will get stronger and feel better as the

day unfolds.

Can you exercise today? Maybe you should take it easy?

I was feeling TERRIBLE yesterday too. Vertigo was terrible and I was feeling

sorry for myself... had a good cry then picked myself up and decided to work out

a positive approach again.

Hope you are feeling better really SOON so  can challenge you again :-)

Wynn you are so right!!!!!!

We do not have to be perfect. I think that even if we only do some bicep curls

today that it is better than nothing or maybe a walk around the neighbourhood.

It's not only about the exercise it's also about how it makes you feel. You come

out of it feeling more positive thus you want to eat better and maybe in the end

you sleep better or accomplish some task that you may not have done.

Or maybe those bicep curls lead to a chest press or some ab work or 20 min. on

the treadmill. Or maybe not.... Maybe your body just needs some rest one day....

I really do believe that I am paying the price for trying to do everything

perfectly. I really do think I brought on this vertigo in a way. Trying to do

way too much everyday and trying to do everything perfectly.

I have already made a lot of changes and there are more on the way.....

Oh !

I was so delighted to read your post this morning. This is what is

talking about when she discusses " healing in community " . I, too, have been

exercising these past few weeks when I don't want to or don't think I even

can, because I have made promises to all of you out there. And I am slowly

coming out of the " all or nothing " mindset. I am the typical overachiever

mentioned in one of 's podcasts who simply does nothing because she

doesn't have the time to do a 2 hour workout. I used to work out 2 hours a

day at least 5 days a week. When I can't do that I just throw in the towel -

what good is a 1/2 hour run or a few sets of weights, I ask myself. Well,

it's a heck of a lot better than no run at all and I'm really working on

that one. It's difficult for me as I am sure it is for many of us, but

knowing someone out there has my best interests in their heart and is

silently encouraging me to get up and get going makes an incredible

difference. Amazing but true, and I would like to thank everyone of you for

your caring and kindness and encouragement.

Hey E;

Had a big sleep and just finished a 9.8 k run. I need a shower badly, lol!

May work in some weights later. Also managed weights yesterday, but no run.

I did biceps, triceps, chest press, bent-over row & crunches. I know I did

the right weight because I am feeling it today! It's a good feeling tho.

Hope you are having a blissful day.

Take care,

Wynn

great job, !

Didn't do any weights yesterday so you're up on me. I work in an hour so

doubt if I'll accomplish much in the exercise department today. We'll see,

you might inspire me!

Have a wonderful weekend.

A k (kilometer) is 1000 meters and a mile is 1609 meters (or you can round to

1600m), so a mile is 1.6k.-! :)

P.S. I hope everyone is having a fantastic, relaxing Saturday (or whatever day

it is where you are)!!

got on the treadmill for 40', 5.5k. No weights yesterday. My workout routine

seems to have worked itself out. Weights almost every other day (my body feels

like it needs the rest on the day after and sometimes for two days) and

treadmill most days.

Starting to feel A LOT better. Yipeeeeeee...........

exercising these past few weeks when I don't want to or don't think I even

mentioned in one of 's podcasts who simply does nothing because she

doesn't have the time to do a 2 hour workout. I used to work out 2 hours a

what good is a 1/2 hour run or a few sets of weights, I ask myself. Well,

it's a heck of a lot better than no run at all and I'm really working on

that one. It's difficult for me as I am sure it is for many of us, but

knowing someone out there has my best interests in their heart and is

silently encouraging me to get up and get going makes an incredible

difference. Amazing but true, and I would like to thank everyone of you for
