We have gotten Bridget to wash better using one of those scrubbies. We use the

liquid soap and the shampoo with conditioner included. She is doing quite well

and has come a long way.

I also got an unbreakable mirror to put in the shower (shaving in the shower

kind) and that has helped.

Good luck!

Hello

Girls - i have a big big favour to ask.

My freind Liz phoned me last night. (we met thru the genetic support group we're in - her son Callum has a genetic abnormality and also has an ASD)

Callum is in hospital - his platelet count is low, he has a mass in his adomen and the bloods have come +ve for some type of cancer - tho quite what type is not known yet.

Could you say a prayer for the family, or send +ve thoughts their way.

Liz is a good mate, who's helped me in my quest for help with .

And give your kids, no matter what ages they are a big hug from me.

And if they as what it's for, just say it's from me, cos all our kids - no matter how old/young/whatever is wrong with them or not - well, they're special.

Lynn,

That was a great intro, thank you :D I'm sure we do have some members with those same problems, but for the most part, we are all united just in illness itself. I'm glad you've joined us, but I'm very sorry that you had to due to illness. Please feel free to reach out to us. That is the best weapon we all have against illness....each other.

Hugs,

Hello

Hi everyone, I'm new here, i don't know if I suppose to do a intro or not, so here goes, a little about myself, my name is Lynn I'm from north carolina, I had brain anerurysm June 2, 2003, had to stay at Duke Hosptal for 19 days in ICU, i don't remember it though, my hubby said i thought I was at work with my friends the whole time, everything seem to be going okay once i got home, then in aug of 2003, i turned around sort of fast and got dizzy and fell, i hit my head really hard on the cement, i started losing my eye sight and my balance really bad, had to go back to Duke and have a shunt put in to get fluid off my brain, I got my eye sight back, but it not like it was before, and since then i have had to relearn things like writing and spelling, how to walk again, which it not very good, i still lose my balance alot, but i have gotten to where i can walk without my walker or cane, just not for long at a time, i having to learn how to cook again, i join recipe group for some help arning, some days i get really bad headaches and i can't think good and have to rest alot. I was just wondering if anyone oe else have brain anerysm and how they doing, everyone tell me i lucky i not die, but for the longest time i stayed mad and wanted to be dead, my daughter baby girl was stillborn January 9, 2004, she was full term 40 weeks, maybe that why i not die, because my daughter needed me to help her with the heatbreak of losing her only child, i still doing my exercises but at home, my hubby insurance company changed right after my surguery, and i wasn't able to do rehabilation anymore, so it taking a really long time, i would like to be able to walk and help my daughter with the baby when it get here, she just found out she going to have another baby, it due December 28, she stays worried it will happen again or that she will lose the baby, i worry so much for her, well i guess i be going now, wish you all a nice day or night wherever you may be,

huggs

Hey, Val. Seems like just you and me are on line this weekend. I have noticed

that not many people post on the weekend, but it's great that people have fun

stuff to do. I have kinda been a homebody this summer, but it's been a great

one. I got a lot of stuff done around the house that I have been needing to do

for years. I also worked at a college teaching French 102 so I could have money

to do all these things around the house. I am convinced that my extra energy

and extra confidence is coming from doing my best at BFL. The strength you gain

from BFL spills over into other areas of your life. ..WOW! you ran 3.5 miles

with major hills. That was hilarious about you running for the bathroom. I

have a question...what is af??????...I know what you mean about the & ^%$ scale.

I have worked out, sweated, felt my clothes be MUCH looser, but & ^%$, no, that

scale doesn't budge. I have lost 9 pounds all together since I started my 2nd

challenge (I just finished W5) but for the last

2 weeks, the scale has not moved. I just think it's weird....Congrats on

getting back on track after vacation. You sound happy and upbeat and ready to

take on the world!!!!! Have a good rest of the weekend. Beth P.

Good to hear your mom is home! I hope she continues healing and that

things get back to normal for you.

I also think its cool that your local Chamber of Commerance(sp) is

helping networking your buisness. I wonder if they all do that?

Hehehe, hello Jo! Good to meet you on the list.

You are just one year ahead of me age-wise;-)

Anyway, Kombucha helps you to be more alive and takes years off

your age ...:-))))

Sorry to hear about your problem with mould (mold to our American friends).

You have done well to throw the mouldy brew away. Yes, it's hard and it's

sad to have to do it, but mould is not good for you.

So, what to do next?

If there is no-one near you offering you a new Kombucha and starter

I am quite willing to send you some from England just across the little

pond ;-) As Belgium is in the EEC postal charges are not too bad.

Good to have you aboard our happy Kombucha ship, Jo.

See how things develop. You will definitely end up with a new culture,

I promise you :-)and hopefully make many new friends here.

Many bubbly Greetz,

Margret:-)

Hello Jo,

I live in Belgium too, near Louvain-La-Neuve. If you live not too far and

can come to LLN to pick it up I 'll have a mushroom for you around the 17 of

this month. Let me know.

[The mushroom will be used to be brewed in the French part of Belgium, maybe

it will get less problems ;-) (private joke for the Belgian people on this

list, hope that I did'nt offend someone)]

Hi ,

We will come and visit you and Eliana. I can't wait

to catch up on everything. Kylie will be so happy to

see Eliana again. She has her big appointment

tomorrow at Shriner's. I'm so nervous! So far she's

been in this brace for 2 days shy of a year, and has

had no progression at all! I'll let you know how it

goes.

We'll see you next week!!
