Guest guest
Hi Helen, well yesterday was the DAY! A small T-storm arrived at ten am, the rain came down in literal bucket fulls, I later went outside, I could hear the brook roaring down there, decided to look for myself. First of all the back yard was an inch under water. a sloshy walk!! The stream was muddy with water pouring through and it had risen to the bank edges, that is two feet down to the water in a normal summer! so you can imagine how much that stream had risen in ONE storm! There is a huge boulder in the stream, about 2' high, now water was making a waterfall over it. Ive seen that stream up in spring thaw, but not in August, ever! Sometimes just a trickle is in it in midsummer! The weather forecast said 'light rain' today in this town! Thank God the house is on a rise and water would have to come some 150' to that rise and possibly 10' feet up after that There is a great system of interconnecting streams here that flow to the Mohawk River and eventually out to Albany where Cohoes meets it, then down the Hudson to the sea! A sytem of water controls along the way to Albany stops serious flooding! ..There used to be floods a long time ago, I have seen a photo of Herkimer under 3'' of water in the 1800's! Love Helen Hi Helen Just got the results from Memphis, called, NO sign of silivars of lepto! It cost a lot but its essential to track down devastating diseases! Now Sam has to be on a diet for gallbladder, there is a low fat diet made by Pedigree, I do not have to smell turkey boiling all my life! Guest guest
Thats a lot to take in, Thanks for the article, I did look it up on snoopes and they did agree to some of what was in the article... How are you doing??? Are you inline with the storm that is coming in Mon/Tues??? They still haven't decided if we're getting 3-6 or 1/2 inch of rain then 1-3 snow yet... We're right on the line of it sinse it has moved a little bit more east... You be careful digging yourself out if you are... ((( Love and Hugs ))) Helen exactly Helen I tried Brummel and Beaus and it tasted okay for a few days, then I started in thinking what am I doing? Thank God I stopped eating it, butter is a natural food, magarine is not! Anne
Guest guest
I think we are are on the edge of the storm, it will cut across somewhat more up North, I hope and straight to Boston and so on It has snowed every night for a week, not much, only once did I have to get the blower out, I find thatif I park the car halfway down the drive I only have about 40' to worry about! The dogs trample most of the snow in front of the car and roll in it and have a ball! The machine starts on one push of the electric start! Nothing notable going on, I had a severe reaction to canned lemonade, I think it was that, no one including Pepsi seems to know, anyway I could be very sensitive to one of the chemicals in it, look on the label, it contains a lot of potassiums etc. I got to where my kidneys were getting affected, okay now as I was told to drink water, a lot of water! Nothing seems free of chemicals today, they claim harmless, but they can destroy ones health. Someday soon spring will arrive, we are all saying it might arrive on the 21st march, but July 2nd seems to be more like it around here! I cannot find the garden and wonder it the daffodils in the lawn will start to grow soon, usually mid March. The snowplow threw a ton of dirt and grass sod up onto where those plants normally are.Remember that poem about the guy in New York loving the cold and the snowplows going by, but by spring he was cursing them, so am I, they come by every half hour all night long when snow falls! They start at 4am on working days, 7am on Sundays! Huge trucks that sound like freight trains going by! Ah well I recall when snow removal was not efficient like it is now! The two old dogs have problems, Sammy is on low fat and Brit is incontinent and on PPV,I had to cook every day for Sammy but I found Pedigree has a good low fat food, it seems to do well with him. I got so sick of boiling chicken every day, I will not eat any chicken now! Everything is the same, Rick left me never to talk to me again apparently, all because when he took me to court over his Daddy's pension, the family court judge bawled him out and dismissed his petition. No loss I assure you he can stew in his own juice. Hope all is good with you and the little ones, they must be getting big kids by now! Guest guest
We're plodding along Sheena. It was my Daryl's 3rd anniversary last week so that was a bit tough. My youngest has had a nasty flu this week and I think she's lovingly shared it with good ol' Mum. What a generous child! My head aches and the lethargy is starting to kick in but hopefully I can whip this virus into submission quick smart. We're in the middle of the coldest winter "Down Under" in about a decade. Our snow fields are having a bonanza. I'm sitting here in my fuzzy slippers with the gas heater blasting away. I really don't mind this time of year. Did I tell you I was able to rescue a native echidna a little while ago? It was mating season and the poor boy got a little lost and ended up under a tree in my front yard. Our local wildlife rescue chapter was of no help on the day. We found out that they are very territorial, bundled him gently into a washing basket and returned him to his territory over my back fence. Funnily, he showed up in my neighbours backyard the next day and this big burly man caming running over to me wanting to know what to do! LOL!!!! Maybe he was frightened of getting stuck with one of the prickles????? Hahahhahaaa! Luv anne Re: anne That was sweet, I have missed being able to join in! How are you doing way over there down under? Isnt that strange though...honestly it looks more of an brownish, tannish with a yellow hue and on my arms thw most...but when I turn my arm to see the underside its lighter...even weirder, I keep driving myself crazy over getting more spots...and their small like small freckles but I swear these were not there my whole life and there like a blood black color and tons more like brown spots that resembl freckles on my hands and arms especiallyand my skin is like paper or seems like it, like an elderly persons like dry and shiny...its so irritating I have always been a huge moisturizer and still am. Guest guest
when your bilirubin gets too high, it can cause your color to change and Im not sure what they do for that but if you are changing colors, you DO need to call him asap..it may not be that at all, but you did concern me when you spoke of how your color changed.. jackiebarron924 <barron924@...> wrote: Hi Jackie, I just read this. I dont have a liver doc yet...well I do but my first appt isnt til the 31st. Guest guest
I got some really shocking emails that were helpful. I guess I just knew inside that it was all related to my disease but wanted so bad for it not to be I wanted in a way for anyone to give me another explanation even though deep down I new but didnt want to face it......and reading the concerned replies that were helpful and got my brain back into reality was exactly what I needed. I called my primary care doc that is only technically cause of paperwork and insurance being so slow still my doc and the unprofessional idiot did not return my call. Then I had this really weird scary incident last night.....early in the day I got some mild but weird abdomen cramping...upper abdomen.....then I started drinking lots of water as I thought I might be a bit dehydrated even though I cant ever remember getting that kind of weird cramp in that area.....only once in my life and that was my upper right quadrant when I suddenly had an abruption 7 months pregnant with my 3 yr old daughter. At the time I didnt know it was an abruption or I was bleeding internally I just hit my husband in the back and said call the doctor and couldnt move. The dr sent me to the nearest emergency room where I had an emergency c section to save my daughters and my life. Well last night I was getting up from an awkward position and it happened in my upper abdomen above the belly button but more like in the middle even a little to the left..I fell on my hands and knees to the floor and balled up I could not move and it felt just like that time when pregnant but I am not pregnant. The only one home with me was my 3 yr old and I called for her as best I could but it was hard to strain to talk loud or yell......she wasnt listening to me she was playing nick jr on the computer......I was so scared.....she finally listened and I asked her to find my cell phone (we use cells only and dont bother to have a house phone) but my cell was on top of the refrigerator...this all was about 10 or less minutes and then thank god it started to ease up but I still just stayed in that possision for a while longer and got up so very slowly trying not to strain anything. I wanted to go to the emergency room last night but my ex husband (we live together for now) said since it feels better we'll go tomorrow if your doc still hasnt called you....I didnt argue, I havent discussed a lot of recent symptons with him and he works a lot, plus I think he either thinks I imagine things or make them bigger than what they are but he also thought that when I was abrupting with and I kept saying something is WRONG ..very wrong..not until the doctor rushed in and said she called in the emergency o/r team cause she needs to do a csection asap....than after the operation when both Sam and I were better she explained to him and I that I was down a liter and a half of blood and the placenta had torn from my womb and I was bleeing inside, if my "water" had broke I would have bled out before they could save Sam or myself! My daughter was early but thank GOD she breathed on her own and she was bigger than they expected with good color!!!!!!! She isa miracle. But Ill never forget that consticting like cramp, feels like a vice script and like someone is squeezing something with all their might on your insides. I don't even want to speculate as to what it is..I get to scared when I do that but I am going to the er this morning right after I call my doctor to say..this is what happened and im going to the er cause you never called me back! It hasn't happened again but I get this feeling in my stomach that if I strain too much it will, thats just a feeling I dont know for sure. But I feel weaker and my color is not getting any better, I have a rash on my neck and shoulders that I thought was from new hair stuff but its getting worse and the rash on my chest that Ive always had for years but not badly is getting very bad and the itching of my shoulders and other parts is driving me crazy. My hands seem to be more red on my palms than usual and their a bit stiff like swollen.....and since Ive been taking Bactrim for the last couple days for a UTI my feet have swelled somewhat and they turn red and purple when I stand....guessing edema. Maybe they are all not related to one thing....it's possible not all of this is related to my liver.....I know some of it is, it's obvious but Im praying there are other explanations for some other symptons. Im scared...Im so scared I wont be well enough to tolerate the treatment, Im scared I wont see my daughter win another soccer championship and get the scholarship to the college she wants....Im scared I wont get to see grow up....I dont want to leave them too early in life, they need me. And I have no one to blame but myself....I inflicted this on myself and my family also has to suffer for it cause I am a recovering addict, alcoholic and in the early nineties...92',93' to be exact I was using and even though I no longer use I didnt take my diagnosis that seriously for many, many years, also being told I wasnt a candidate for treatment from one doctor cause of my lifelong history of mental health..I shouldve got a second opinion but I was to passive about it. Im sorry for making this so long, Im just feeling bad for myself right now and scared and I need to stop it and get a grip. Thanks for the replies and feedback....I needed it and I appreciate it more than you know.elizabethnv1 <elizabethnv1@...> wrote: That sounds like jaundice to me and something you should see the doc for .
