Like in " She JUST has Pre-Mentrual Syndrome " . To me it seems that doctors don't feel the need to treat syndromes like they are true illnesses. Since I have never been treated by anyone as if it is a mental illness I don't take any offense at the diagnosis. I mean it is a mental illness caused by a severe traumatic event. I know you are pregnant with triplets, I just thought applied to you too. I would like to know who made that myth up! Someone that was dreaming? Someone that was not living here in the real world with the rest of us... I don't know, but i had heard it somewhere, and Kim totally cracked me up when she was telling us (the maternity staff and doctors) that she couldn't figure out how it could have happened, because she had only had sex ONCE! Once was enough!! As for when we will get married, we are debating. it will take some time. This is somethign that must not get rushed into. And if pregnancy wasn't stressful enough, doing something that your heart just isn't sure about, would only make things worse! I say do what you think is right! Don't rush into anything! Would it be ok if I did some further investigating? I have a few online friends in the States who are parents of special needs children and I'm absolutely certain that they will at the very least have some contacts you might not know about. Would it be ok if I spoke to them about your daughter?? What state are you in? That will help them narrow down services for you. Oh and before I go, is it just Dyspraxia that your darling girl struggles with or are there other diagnosis too?? Feel free to write me offlist if you prefer. He is still in coma I understand so definitely no O2,( even if they are saturating him with it) is getting to his brain ,with the inevitable death of cells. He is not able to get the oxygen he needs thru his lungs, even while being given O2, probably at high levels by now. There is probably nothing more they can do, but supportive therapy & comfort measures. He may be blue & confused by now. Any exertion would use more oxygen, and make him more hypoxic. Tissue wont heal & will die back without enough O2, so if he has any wounds(recent surgery, chemo, or radiation?) they wont heal, and is a big risk for bedsores, bad toes & fingers. I'm so sorry. You are such a nice person. <Some one who knows please get back to me ,the guy who had the stroke finally is waking up slightly, is still on oxygen out of ICU and was put into another room, they say he has Hypoxia, just what is that and how serious?
