Hi ,

What he may mean about it not being Infantile is that you know what the cause is which is hypotonia from the Prader Willi. has 'true" Idiopathic Infantile Scoliosis because he does not have a syndrome or low muscle tone, and there is no known cause for it. Dr. D'Astous and the Neurologist that we saw both think it is caused from inutero positioning, we will never really know this is just them speculating. I definately would send the x-rays to Dr. D'Astous, he sees alot of children with these rare syndromes and he definately would know if is a candidate for casting.

Neeka,

I'm 53, have SMA, and have been in a wheelchair since I'm 11. My advise is to

keep doing what you're doing. Keep his muscles as flexible as possible. Just

love him and treat him like any other kid and remember that we're all here for

you.

Hi Sheri,

Where do you want to start? What is it you would like to make?

There are all kinds of recipes in the archives., just use the search

option

A good source for supplies comes after you decide what you want to make.

Thank you for responding Lucinda,

I'm getting used to getting no response on the boards and almost

forgot to even check messages tonight.

I want to do lotions and things like bath salts to start with till I

know more about what I'm doing...start off simple and go from there.

Any suggestions for starting off simple? I will do as you suggest

and do a search for basics... thanks so much..

Sheri,

Let's start with bath salts, lotions can be tricky.

Bath salts are simple, I would suggest you start with Dead sea salt,

Or epsom salt.

Here is a very simple recipe

1 lb of dead sea salt

Mix 10 drops of lavender essential oil into 1 teaspoon of glycerin,

Add this to the salt

TAAAAA DAAAAAAAAAAAA

Bath salt!

You can use essential oils or fragrances oils if you like!

Lucinda

Bulk Herbs, Spices, fine teas, essential oils and More!

Oh I would have been asking that in a week or two! What about plastic air

tight bottles? or does the plastic have/cause some reaction?

Jeanette <jeanette_ann_3@...> wrote:Just a quick question (you thought

this was simple!

LOL)

I made bath salts and stored them in plastic baggies

and they lost all their scent. Then I was told I had

to store them in glass. Then I was told not to use

glass because wet hands in the bathroom and glass

don't mix. So, what does everyone store them in that

keeps the scent in?

Thanks a bunch!

Hi Lucinda,

I'm new to the group and I would like to introduce salts in my line.

Can the glycerine be purchased at your local pharmacy? I see this

ingredient in most of the receipes that have been posted.

Thank You,

Hi Rose. I haven't seen this answered for you so, I will let you know that, I

buy mine at my local pharmacy for now. I have to ask for it as it is not on the

shelf, but it IS available to the public. Where I am at, I get mine at the

pharmacy at Wal-Mart and it is 3.34 for 4 fl. oz. Hope this helps. Oh, and the

people who have used the salts I have used glycerin in appreciate my warning

about the slippery tub, but they say they LOVE how soft their skin feels from

it!

Glycerine that you use in toiletries should be " vegetable glycerin "

and not synthetic glycerine that is sold in drug stores....Lucinda

sells high quality vegetable glycerin at her site under Oils and

Butters...check it out!

That is so true. A good mate is a godsend in our situation but a Smuck just gets in the way. I told mine to leave I didn't want to burden him. He didn't go he just let me rant and rave. I say that sometimes a good cat is worth ten Smucks. lol.

Welcome

I sent you some CP and vaccination info

It could very well be vaccine injury

And California is very easy

When it comes time for school you just sign the back of hte form they give

you - a philosophical exemption.

The only laws are in relation to school (much later for andre)
