I never know when he decides he isn't going to walk anymore and just sit. I did promise him lunch out so he would do anything for food,LOL, especially at a restaurant. He lives to go out to eat and not fast food either. I spoke too soon about him feeling better. The school called yesterday afternoon to say he was sick. I picked him up coughing and with a fever, oh well. Zeb is home today and still has the cough and fever not to mention the baby is being her usual grouchy self. Charlyne Mom to Zeb 10 DS/OCD ? My first was SUPER colicky and my fourth too (though not as bad). Ever try strapping her in her little instant seat and setting her on the dryer (staying with her naturally)? Used to work like a charm. Also, I remember nights when little Joe slept in his swing......and this was in the pre-battery days!!! I used to doze for 20 minutes til the things stopped, slink over and knotch by knotch (so as not to wake him), crank it up again....LOLOL Hope Zeb feels better today!! Guest guest
Hi Donna, The baby has reflux and is on zantac. I think she has cried more in her 3 mos than any of my kids did in their whole life. She spits up more than she eats. My oldest son told me that I should put my head and arms through a garbage bag and wear that during the day, LOL. I have walked, rocked, sang anything you could think of but I haven't found anything that works yet. I took Zeb to the dr today and he just has a virus, thankfully no major infection of any kind. I need to get everyone better for baby's christening on sunday. I think I am too old for babies!! Charlyne Mom to Zeb 10 DS/OCD ?

Guest guest
nathan is very bad about this too, he is perpetually thristy i swear, and if you leave a pop or beer or what ever sitting on the table or where ever nearby, he just comes along and chugs it down, uuugh, one thing nice about it was when they did a glucose tolerance test he just chugged it down too, lol, i think i would vomit, lol, and NOW when he does, after he just finished or even if just drank some, he goes " thanks mom " heheeh, like he really needed that, what a goof. I'm not sure how to stop it, i just remeind him its NOT his drink that if he wants one, to ask for one or get one himself, not to drink others, maybe it will sink in eventually. shawna. Guest guest
Hey Sweetie, I love the IOWA GAMES! I never compete, but I have been a volunteer for the last 3 years (I referee the youth basketball tourney's), and have such a blast! If you compete or just go to watch the games, maybe I will see you there, cool! It really is a good time to be had by all, I love all the energy. Yah, the snow melted here, too, and we got mud, mud, mud, YUCK! It should be gone by this weekend though, the weather is supposed to be beeeautiful this weekend. I am a graduate student working on my PhD in counseling psychology, but my son really wants to be vet! He volunteers at the ARL and researchs all he can about animals (he's only 11!), but he seems to have inherited my love of learning (as well as my love of food, lol, poor kid). Okay, way more than you wanted to know, sorry. Let me know if you plan on attending the games! Have a superfabulous day! Oh, and I actually resisted the scale today, it was hard, but I did it! YAH!!!! Sincerely, Donna > Are you going to compete in the Iowa games in Ames this summer? I saw > a flyer at the Y tonight and it looked like so much fun. How 'bout > horseshoes? Guest guest
Hey Cy, I'll let you know if we decide to go to the Games. My son is 14 and he is determined to go to ISU. Even has ISU wallpaper in his room. I'd love for him to go there but want him to realize that other schools DO exist. LOL! he once told me ISU was the only college/university In the whole sate. He's quite the eater too, but has grown so tall is doesn't matter what he eats! BFL has been good for him too. He signed up for a weightlifting instruc. class at the Y and we put on quite the " gun show " after we workout!!! aren't kids a blast? I remain steadfast in my anti scale commitment!! My friend still thinks she'll have to take it from me...pry it from my cold, lifeless fingers no less!!!! but I am going to hold out. tomorrow is UBWO and I am gonna rock!! Anyway, they were great......I talked with the teacher and principal about what to write and how to use very strong wording in certain areas like change in environment (important as they may say they can give her ESY in a city placement---another piece I told them to keep in and stress is that Maddie doesn't sweat. Apparently, that can be a barrier for city placement as they can't promise air conditioning), and her huge readjustment issues....I told them to put in the document about how the ONLY time we've EVER seen aggression in Maddie is after being away from her routine. Told them I would take the written up document (should get it in the mail soon) and have a lawyer look at it before we sign...they said they are doing the same with their lawyers before they send them to Philly. I also said I want more consistent documentation about Maddie's behaviors, how she reacts to change and transitions during regular school hours and after breaks.....all they said they would do. Also, Duff and I will be getting together with the other 4 parents interested in fighting this. Apparently what happened was that the DPE of PA typically has given funds to Philly for the approved private schools' ESY programs....out of the blue, they said no. So Philly had to find the funding pronto as legally they could do nothing else anyway. Me and Maddie may end up rousing up Ed Rendell......I can just see her in his office...I'm sure he'd love that....LOL Thanks Ginny!!! It's the October IEP that will be hairy!!! Dammit I know Ginny. But I think this only effects the aps schools and supposedly they've gathered together. Like you said though, it's the individual parents that have to fight. Melmark can only do so much. No doubt someone loses out, if not now then by next year. <<When are we going to get Miss Maddie and together? I remember you saying that Miss Maddie doesn't like kids shorter than her--how tall is she? is a lean, mean 42 pounds, 42 inches last time we checked (March). Is that compatible with Miss Maddie? Did I see postings correctly that Gail and Margaret are coming to Philly sometime soon?? With my luck, it will be around June 14-19, when I'm in Colorado for a work-related meeting.>> OOOhhhhh yes yes!!!!! I didn't forget...I just am one of those people who has to get through things one at a time...LOLOL Gail, children and hopefully Margaret will be here for dinner on the 10th, a Tuesday night. Seth will not be joining Gail, and I don't think Gareth is coming either, but of course, Miss Maddie will be here. We would love for you, dh and Mr. to join us!!! sounds like *just the right size* for Maddie (er, anyway, Allie will be here along with Gail's kids to make sure there's no bull-dozing.....LOL).....just kidding. Maddie has never been that bad with smaller kids....;-) She just tends not to have much interest in them. But as we know, everything takes work with our kids, even interest...LOL It'll be So much fun Ginny!!
