Hear, Hear!!!! My 12 year old is Homeschooled. She tried 7th grade but was

bored.

I asked them to move her up a grade and they said *What would she do

next year*. They offered her no special services or help. If she had a

learning disability, they would have had stuff all over for her.

When the principal looked in file and saw saw her test scores , he asked

if she would stay till after Star9 testing...NOT!!!!!

chicken pox.

to date, once chicken pox at 12 months, and beginning

of the week flu with cold, started monday and by

wednesday afternoon he was fit enough to go to the

LOL!!! Say that after a goat keeps you up bleating half the night because you

moved her to a different pen, or you've walked a horse for 6 hours straight to

stave off colic <which can be fatal in horses, different sort of thing that what

human babies go through)!

Seriously though... I LOVE my animals. Wouldn't trade em for the world, at least

not most days! And I think the benefits that come from sharing a life with them

are immense...

Good luck finding something to fill your time. I don't know what I'd do with out

my kids (and critters) around to keep me busy. Maybe that's why I have them

around?? I'm one of those people that HAS to be doing something. My husband can

sit and watch TV... me... I can sit and watch TV, but I'll have to be crocheting

or reading a book, or cutting out fabric, or doing something else at the same

time.

Hey, maybe you could to some part time volunteer legal work for

anti-vaccination, and pro parental rights groups!!

<Raising hand> Oh, oh, oh!! Me!! One 4 year old who has never had an ear

infection, had antibiotics once for strep throat and had a nasty reaction to

them... hasn't had them since. He was unfortunately partially vaccinated

<hanging head in shame> due to me still parenting as society said I 'should'

instead of how my gut told me I should. He was however breastfed until he was

more than 2 1/2 so I hope that helped some...

And... one almost 19 month old who has not only never had an ear infection,

antibiotics, vaccine or anything of that nature... he's never been to a standard

medical doctor either!! He was born at home, sans medical personal and that's

the way I'd like to keep his life if at all possible!!

My children have not been vaccinated and are ages 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 and they have

never had an ear infection or serious illness. We are around a lot of children

and constantly outside. We try to eat right, get plenty of sleep and exercise

and try to be happy....what else do we need. I wish my mom knew what I do...and

now I wish she'd listen.

Weeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllll. To be honest, yes, my children have had " ear

infections' and antibiotics. Altho I knew I didn't want the vaxxes, the rest of

the natural health info was not able to be found too much at my library in

'87(single mom). I never even knew my dd had infections til we had a well-baby

check up and I dutifully gave her the prescription...every time. Then I found

my book " How to Have a Healthy Child... " and asked the doc if she really needed

the antibiotic. He admitted probably not. So never again did I accept the

script and never again did he say she had one! HMMMM!!! My next child (single

again)was milk intolerant and did have a very painful ear experience. I took

the script,threw it away(my mother told chilren's services I didn't give my

chilren their antibiotics so I accepted the script and what they didn't know

wouldn't hurt us!) went to the chiro, went home, gave him a sip of beer(out of

wine) and drank the rest. He finally slept peacefully and I finally got some

sleep. That's all I had done b4 I met my dh and then we still used the chiro.

This winter our 3rd child was in screaming pain because his ear hurt. He was 5

1/2 at the time and I allowed dh to give him numbing drops and the

antibiotic(this happened late at night and there is no emergency

chiropractor!). I didn't finish the doses and he started in again a few nights

later with the other ear. Finished out the prescription this time along with

chiropractic adjustment. Then a couple of months ago our 4th child, almost 4,

was crying hysterically about his ear. Hubby said it was the worst infection he

had ever seen and was afraid his ear drum was going to burst. He went to the

office to get antibiotics and I put a few drops of my milk(still nursing their

sister) in his ear and by the time hubby had gotten back, he said his ear was

fine and hubby checked and was astounded to notice the swelling had gone down.

So, when he complained about the other ear 3 nights later, dh asked if I was

gonna put mm in his ear(our child even asked for it and had to fight his sister

for what was left in the medicine spoon to drink!).

In case this happens again, I am taking the HP class and eventually our new HP

will have seen the children so I can call in case of emergency. And I still

haven't bought my home kit but will as soon as we get our refund!

So, that's a long story and I hate to disappoint but YES WE HAVE! had " ear

infections " and used antibiotics.
