>Hey, there! Thanks for the welcome, Gordon...just looking at the

index it looks that this group may be a better venue for my interests

than the smartdrugs group.

I'll send url's, or post documents to the 'vault' re: progesterone

creme use in men. I'll try to post to this same thread in that regard.

gts,

I routinely Rx T+DHEA+Progesterone+Pregnenolone in cream format for hormone

replacement therapy. This combination in males eliminates the mood swings

and does slightly inhibit aromatase. Balanced replacement is the key to

effefective and safe replacement.

Live long and well. Be good to yourself.

Thanks Dr . I'm wondering specifically about effective inhibitors of

aromatase. Do you have an opinion of chrysin or indole-3-carbinol?

By the way I'm glad to see you are still with us. I take it you've been busy

lately!

Hi Tracey

I use progesterone cream for symptoms of oestrogen dominance - fibrocystic

breast disease and ovarian cysts, and mild PMS but major cramps. After about 3

months of using the cream these symptoms have diminished considerably. I think

its a good product.

Progesterone Cream

Has anyone tried progesterone cream? I'm in perimenopause with CFIDS &

FMS and I'm considering trying it. I just read this when I started

researching it:

I would love it if you would call Weed on her Tues night free phone

consultation. You seem to be knowledgable about this and would know the right

questions to ask. Then I would appreciate it is you could report back to us

Hi:

Let me say this abt Progesterone cream. I have used it for 5 years now. It saved

me

from alot of pain. The breast cancer in my family is estrogen receptive also.

But not progesterone receptive. I look at it like this. My quality of life had

gotten soo bad with water retention, migraines, painful breast and horrible

periods

every month. I had to do something. That and take Vitex, a herb has really made

me feel and look like my old self. My probelms started abt 6 months after my 2nd

child and the tubal i had....

I really think i would be dead now or 200 pounds and had a stroke if i hadnt

been using it.

I guess i should have mentioned the fact that i was taking the Vitex and the

cream last night when i joined.

I have heard docters tell women not to use the cream also. I really cant imagine

why they do that. I have studied on the cream alot. I cant see where it would

cause cancer. As it does hold off estrogen. Estrogen causes extra growth of

cells. Progesterone slows the estrogen down. Cancer is a over growth and under

maturity of cells.......

My mothers cancer docter in memphis told her after her cancer that she could use

it if she wanted to......he didnt see where it would hurt..... he also added he

had no idea if it help ither.

But I ran out of cream once. And put off buying some for abt a week because i

simply forgot.

It didnt take but abt a week to notice the difference. So it was working.......

progesterone cream

I recently contacted Weed about some menopausal problems I was

experiencing. She insisted that I absolutely not use progesterone cream. It

is her

belief that it causes breast and ovarian cancer. She has a free phone time on

Tues eve. You can find the phone number on her website (do a search on Google

for Weed). She is a very respected herbologist. She claims that a lot

of money is made on the cream and that according to her information it is

deadly for women. I would be interested in hearing back from you after you

speak

with her.

Hi:

Well I suppose I could. I imagine what she will say is this:

its a female hormone also

and progesterone receptive cancers are more fast movers and more serious

and synthetic progesterone aka progestin does cause cancer like estrogen

I have been told these things from others who have asked docters.

Ideally one would want to lower their overall estrogen level,, counteracting

with progesterone just gives you higher levels of both.....but i am serious when

i say it has really made me feel better. My breast are never sore or painful

anymore...which really has nothing to do with getting BC.But darn, they hurt soo

much before i couldnt stand it.

But in my family, the cancer always comes at abt the age of 53 oddly enough.

Just abt 3 yrs after the onset of menipause. I cant figure why this is.

All the women in my family who had it also never really had hot flashes, they

had bad headaches instead and weight gain for no explainable reason.

My mother had it at 53, she had 1 child(my mother survived and took Tamoxin for

8 years afterwards). her mom had it at 53, she had one child also, she died

within a year of finding out she had BC.. Gmoms sis had it at 41, she never had

any children, she died within a year also.. It goes on and on back. These women

had ither 1 child or no children. The women in the family who didnt have it had

at least 2, alot had 3 children......or more.

And its always mammary/ductal related cancer. Which may be normal. i dont know

much abt it.

We thought abt doing the BRCA test. But didnt.

I may get it, nd a docter may tell me that the cream caused it or helped me get

it. But I couldnt live with very well without the cream......id rather die ,than

feel that way again...I really mean that.

I suppose docters are afraid to suggest any hormone or hormone precurser to

patients in the fear that will cause cancer.

There is a woman here in town who took fertility drugs. Got pregnant. Had the

baby, then abt 2 yrs later found she had BC that was receptive to prog. and

estrogen. She is still alive but has chemo and radiation......lumpectomy......and

has had a miserable existance......

i dont think i could do all that. i really dont. Chemo just sounds bad. Even if

it cured that cancer looks like to me it would cause another....

Causing all those changes in the cells that werent cancerous.

I sometimes think they probably have a cure. They just want to keep it under

wraps. Because of all the money that would be lost if they told it.

Has anyone ever known anyone on the hydrazine sulfate?

If so did it help them????

I do not have the knowledge to determine who is telling the truth..but

somebody is. Either Progest Cream is good for you or is isn't. According to

Weed who is very esteemed in her field, you can make an infusion of some herb

she recommends (red clover?) that will stimulate the body to control

menopausal imbalances but don't take something that basically is needed for

pregnancy

and causes breast and ovarian cancer to grow. She claims that so much money

is being made on Projest Cream and none on herbal infusion that therein lies

the problem. I wish that a few learned members of this group would phone her on

Tues eve. during her free conference time and question her with their wisdom

and then report back to us so that as a group we can discuss this and come to

some sort of agreement to benefit all of us.

Have you read Raquel 's book, " The Estrogen Alternative " ? I believe

you will find a different opinion on this in her work.

What I have learned is that not only do doctors(allopathic ones) not agree

with each other and alternative practitioners, but the folks in the

alternative field also have some disagreements. One has to do a lot of

reading and research for themselves and take the course of action most

appropriate for themselves.

Scientists Uncover Progesterone's Role in Breast Cancer

Results of a preliminary study by scientists at the Jonsson Comprehensive

Cancer Center at the University of California suggest that the hormone

progesterone contributes to breast cancer by boosting the production of a

growth factor that aids tumor growth. Experiments carried out on laboratory

grown cancer cells revealed that progesterone appears to stimulate the

production of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), which is vital for

the growth of blood vessels for both normal cells and cancer cells. The

findings may explain why drugs that block progesterone can be useful in the

treatment of breast cancer.
