Guest guest
There is a liver flush forum on curezone.com that will answer all your questions and more. It is a good resource. I think I am fatigued from a build up as well, but from naturopathic remedies including sopc. Many say that liver cleanse is very important and I was wondering if others are doing a liver cleanse. I was prepared to do one described by ken pressner the maker of the ultimate zapper, but it involves a 2 liter enema of distilled water amongst other things, so I procrastinated and now that I am on sopc for the last 6-8 weeks, marc swanepole phd (the sopc innovator)recommends one as well, but his involves liter of apple juice for 3 days or so, then some epsom salts (food grade) with olive oil and fresh grapefruit juice....dont quote me there may be a little more to it; point being it is much easier than the first one I considered. I would think that many on here have either done a cleanse or are in need of doing one, so please give me any feedback or experiences that you can share. thanks dennis
Guest guest
I've done several; with the Epsom salt solution followed by the olive oil and the fresh squeezed grapefruit. Got lots of stones at first but diminished with recent flushes. I don't use the apple juice but have offered it to people with gallbladder pain. > > There is a liver flush forum on curezone.com that will answer all your questions and more. Guest guest
When I stopped using drugs, I did a series of liver cleanses. I probably did around seven of them; one every week until I passed no stones. Hulda is the authority on the liver cleanse. You can google it and read about them. They are very easy to do and I found them to be one of the most important steps in regaining health. The worst part is drinking the epsom salts. However, Dr. sells epsom salts in capsules so you can avoid the awful taste. I currently do a liver cleanse quarterly. It only takes two days and the first is really just fasting. I fast on Friday because it doesn't interfere with work and then lay around Saturday morning and it's over Saturday around noon...here's the recipe...  LIVER CLEANSE Ingredients : 4 tablespoons of oral Epsom salts 1 tablespoon Vitamin C powder ½ cup virgin olive oil 1 large fresh grapefruit 2 glass jars with lids 16 oz. apple juice + beet juice Drink as much water as you want Procedure : First day: 1. 9:00 am: Eat a breakfast of cooked porridge, no milk or butter; 8 ounces apple juice + beet juice; or a baked potato, no butter 2. 2:00 pm : Mix 4 tablespoons of oral Epsom salts and 1 Tbsp of Vitamin C powder in 3 cups of cold water in one jar, and refrigerate 3. 3:00 pm : Have a warm water enema; rest 4. 6:00 pm : Drink ¾ cup of the cold Epsom salts 5. 8:00 pm : Drink ¾ cup Epsom salts 6. 9:45 pm : Pour ½ cup olive oil into the second jar; squeeze out ½ cup grapefruit juice and add to the olive oil. Close the jar lid and shake hard until watery. 7. 10:00 pm : Drink the potion. Lie down immediately. Lie still on your back and go to sleep. Second day: 1. 9:00 am: Drink ¾ cup Epsom salts. Go back to bed. 2. 11:00 am : Drink ¾ cup Epsom salts. Go back to bed. 3. 1:00 pm : Get up and drink 8 ounces apple + beet juice. Read a book. 4. 2:00 pm : Eat a banana or an orange. Read another book. 5. 6:00 pm : Eat a light supper of salad and fruit; no meat Many stones will be seen in the toilet upon the first bowel movement after a liver cleanse. It may take several cleanses over a period of months to clear all of them out from the liver. Following a liver cleanse, it is useful to have several coffee enemas to pull further toxins that are stored in the liver. Use organic coffee beans, and about a quart of coffee each time, retained for ten minutes. Replace intestinal bacteria by taking acidophilus   From: dennis11228 <dkanakis@... Guest guest
I would use the Pure Zen Health TLC product from Dr. Brownstein's practice page. www.centerforholisticmedicine.com. If it were my son (who is 12) I would start him out with 1/2 scoop 2x per day in 8 oz of water. I would not want to detox him too quickly if his is very toxic - which he may be but I would not know this. Adult dosing is 1 scoop 2x / day. There is a protocol booklet in the files from Metagenics that outlines a complete 28 day liver detox. I highly recommend that everyone consider doing a full cleanse. We change our oil filters in our cars but we don't clean our bodies. Are you taking synthetic T4 only thyroid medication? This may be your issue. Many do better on desiccated thyroid. I was hypothyroid and taking 150 mcg Synthroid. I could not get balanced. Going on Desiccated thyroid has balanced me and I am doing well. I have been on the same dose for 5 years which is unusual since I was on 13 different levels over 6 years on T4 only. Guest guest
Thyroid's produces 3-5 grains of hormone per day. I take 4 grains. I don't worry about trying to reduce. I have no thyroid and I need to replace what it would have done. I take iodine for cancer, breasts and ovaries since I had these three issues. I think people get too hung up on reducing and eliminating thyroid meds when taking iodine. Iodine is so much more than for thyroids. Guest guest
I am Dr. Brownstein's patient and friend so I don't use the website. I call in what I need. I have used many of the Biotics products and a few of the Pure Zen (Gluc-Control, TLC, DHEA & Pregnenolone). On my 5 year journey with him to get well I have used more products than I care to recap. I can say that all of the products for the most part that they have (because there are two other doctors that work there too) are going to be great choices. Guest guest
It depends on how I feel. I fluctuate from 50 mgs - 100 mgs. I don't have a set amount anymore. There are days I don't take anything. But most days it is 50 mgs. Guest guest
Yes, I have written many times about the " fetish " for reducing/eliminating thyroid replacement hormone. What is important is achieving health, not some perfect state of being that doesn't exist in any case. Health means you are functioning at a high level, it doesn't mean you can erase all the years of suffering, deficiency, and dysfunction that created a thyroid that isn't functioning-- once the thyroid function shuts down, a person is already deeply ill. The thyroid is the engine of the metabolism, which also governs brain function. Focus on getting adequate hormone replacement/nutritional support for the thyroid. It is really rare that anyone regains thyroid function once their thyroid has become nonfunctional. The ideal of seeking perfection and focusing on getting off thyroid hormones (which means recovering thyroid function 100%) prevents people from having quality of life for the amount of life they have left. Better to focus on getting the thyroid adequately addressed. Which generally means NTH plus the iodine protocol at minimum. I actually INCREASED my NTH after a couple of months on the iodine protocol because I realized just HOW GOOD I could really feel, and I finally realized that yes, as my primary practitioner had predicted, I need 3 grains, not 2 grains. Been doing very well after 20 years of struggle with impaired thyroid, which included 10+ years of not being diagnosed or treated at all. -- > Thyroid's produces 3-5 grains of hormone per day.
