>What makes it so frustrating is my next door gave me fixings for german

chocolate cake. I love german chocolate cake!

I guess it's a good thing it's so hellaciously HOT out there and only a fool

would light an oven to bake a cake in this weather. :)

Be STRONG!!

And keep cool!

Exactly! Haven't baked the cake yet. I don't think I'm planning to either. Not till we reach fall weather. Right now, I'm just looking for things I can cook stovetop or microwave.Suzy Sparkles <veggiesue22@...> wrote:

I hear ya! We broke the record here yesterday when we hit 101ยบ.

Believe it or not, you could be dehydrated and retaining water because of

it. Drink up - at least a half ounce for every pound of body weight in

*normal* weather, more when it's deadly hot like this. Once your body gets

the liquids it needs it'll stop trying to hold on to every last drop it's

already got.

Hi Sue,

You mean I have to drink like 150 ounces of water a day. OK, I said that I would drink my water. I'm going to be going to the bathroom all day long but I will drink my water.Sue in NJ <susang3@...> wrote:

I've been bouncing again and missed the original message. What happened that

you landed in the ER?

I was having problems with fluid overload and they were looking for congested Heart failure or blood clot but it turned out to be way to much fluid and gas trapped on my lungs......

Hopefully they found the cause for this to happen and you're getting the

treatment you now need. I'm glad they let you home to recuperate, too.

Hospitals are a lousy place to be. :)

My Monday weigh in I was down 3 lbs - to 299 - below 300 for the first time in over 6 years!!!! Boy did I do a happy dance!! I've been skimping on workouts tho - I need to exercise more. My first big goal is to be down 40 lbs by Christmas - which is 30 more lbs in 4 months, so totally do-able.
