Do you bloat from salt post DS? I don't seem to (unless accompanied by

copious amounts of carbohydrates -- I think that is a diabetes legacy)!

=========================

Actually I notice the bloat MORE post weightloss than before. 5

extra pounds makes a HUGE difference now....where before I hardly

noticed. My rings are really tight today but I'm living in my PJ's

so I don't care how my pants fit! lol

Hi Jo! I'm so glad you liked the tomato casserole! Unfortunatley,

that was one of the casualties of the refrigerator so I only got to

have one serving of the whole dish. I'll have to make it again

sometime but I think this time I might add some mild salsa or maybe

just a hint of marinara sauce between the layers.

Well, yes, I did feel better after I puked so maybe it was that one

bite too many. Even though I'm fine today after eating the same

amount of lasagna, that doesn't mean I had the same amount of room

last night. I know my appetite can vary greatly from day to day.

I'm sure most of us know that feeling.

Thank you for the kind words regarding my food plans! Weekends are

always the most difficult, probably because I sit in the livingroom

at my computer, and I just happen to face the kitchen. LOL! I just

got some meat free corned beef at Food For Less that I'm going to

try next weekend when I have some provolone and sauerkraut to put on

top of it. I have no idea how it's going to taste but it sure looks

good on the package. I also just saw a GREAT recipe for mini-

cheesecakes that could easily be made with...oh, what is that

artificial sweetener that can be used teaspoon for teaspoon the same

as sugar? Is it Equal or something else? Anyway, I'm going to

figure it out and try those mini-cheesecakes soon. If they turn out

really good, I might bring them to the pool party this summer.

Mmmmmm!

It's about time for my protein drink so I need to finish gettin'

these posts caught up and then I have to finish my walking. So,

lots of hugs and thanks for your sweet support!

Tracey

BTW: The refrigerator was definitely worse! I'd rather puke that

have to shell out $300 anyday!

I have heard that it doesn't last, Jo, but I am not so far out from my

ultimate goal as to overly stress about it. I have 35 pounds left to go...if I

lose

20 of them, I will still be a happy camper. I'm 5'3 " (was once 5' 5 " ), so my

PCP, Dr. K and I all agree that 150 is reasonable, but not set in blood. I

will ride the wave, and I have proven to myself since the first of the year

that I CAN make better food choices, and I DO exercise (and -- hold onto your

hats, ladies and gents -- I actually LIKE to exercise now), so I am a pretty

content person. I just hope I don't turn lazy during recovery. I'd hate to

have

to learn to like to exercise again!

Sweet Jesus! (clutching chest and stumbling) Who would ever have

thunk it! lol I will warn you...during recovery you get out of the

exercise habit REAL FAST. But when you finally do motivate yourself

back into exercising your body will say " yes! I missed this... "
