Are you less stressed? How is your hand? What happened to it??? Gentle hugs to you Jo, go easy on yourself. You are having a rough time just now. Be at peace within and know that we are all here for you always. >> Aisha, I guess I am less stressed. The migraine continues to roar. I lost my balance and started to fall, caught the handled of a pan onthe stove with my arm and knocked it off the stove. The burner was set on HIGH, so the bottom of the pan, which landed inthe palm of my hand, was damn hot. My thumb, forefinger and the palm of my hand are badly burned and blistered. Packing them with Vitamin E and bandages, today it is much better. Spent some time with my wonderful Joe and that is a great destressor. The man is a wonder. Mostly because he loves me. Go figure? My sons are doing better, things are looking up. I am just worn down. Hugs, Jo

As soon as you let the asthma take control of you, it is extremely hard to understand and prevent. Once your sons and ex know their asthma, they can prevent it before it happens. well, they might not prevent it from happening, but they can certainly prevent it from getting severe. >> Leigh You are welcome for the compliments - you deserve them. Thankfully my ex and my sons have all had great control over their asthma for many many years. But I know that sometimes they get lax, we all do with chronic illnesses, especially when we are doing well for long periods of time. That is when it sneaks up and grabs you in the butt. But I also think your post is important for PARENTS of children with asthma - because as parents we must take the responsibility for the monitoring until our kids are able to do it on their own. I know that is what helped my sons. Having lived with my ex and his asthma, I was able to gain some control over it for the boys when they were small. Thanks again for the post and I hope that parents of asthmatics take your information to heart. Hugs Jo
Guest guest Report post Posted August 10, 2000 Definately a Golden lab or retrever is the way to go for a dog thats going to be around kids. And yep i think having a dog makes alot of people feel safer. Hang in there, Melinda Jo Jo, This is not the first time I've been stalked. has been talking to police and lawyers. The police are still saying that I do not have enough evidence on him to get a restraining order. is working on it. has made sure I have two cel. phones in my car with a recorder. All the phones in the house have a recorder now too. I have been bugging about getting a few dogs. I grew up with dogs and I want my kids too. He always told me that he is not comfortable having big dogs with three little ones. But now, he is going to take me out tonight to look for some dogs. I'm thinking about getting two black labs or maybe one golden. Labs are very very good with children and are very protective too. Since I have been in this situation and once in it again, I fully understand how you feel about it. I thank you very much for still writing me, advising me, and wishing me well when this is a topic that is difficult for you. Thank you! love, leigh __________________________________________________
Guest guest Report post Posted December 22, 2000 Jo, You need a complete echocardiogram including stress treadmill test. MVP is most often caused by neuroendocrine disorders of which CFS is one. Echo will tell you if there are any vegetations on your mitral valve leaflets (unlikely). If so, your cause is viral or bacterial infection. If leaflets just show uniform thickening then the cause is most likely neuroendocrine or possibly due to a connective tissue disease. I would avise you to buy Sharon 's book _Mitral Valve Prolapse_. Another way to reduce symptoms is to keep head of the bed raised 3-4 inches. For some reason this lessens my symptoms. Steve B. Guest guest Report post Posted May 30, 2003 > Thanks for that info on the pills. I haven't been able to find a " regime " that doesn't have me constantly sticking something in my mouth. (ie calcium > 3x a day) ============================== Melisa...you are not going to find a regime that does not include taking something 3 times a day....the simple fact that we have to break up taking our calcium makes it a fact of our lives. With the Vita-4-life I take the max. dosage for distal bypass...so that means I take 12 capsules a day....It would be best if I took them in 4 divided doses of 3 capsules...but that is toooooo many times to remember a day....so I take 4 capsules 3times a day....what makes it easier for me is I don't have to remember WHEN and WHAT I took...I just have to have my little dish empty of those capsules before I go to bed. Jo Thanks for the prayers

I had a great time seeing Disneyland through my Katey's eyes. I bought Katey (2 1/2) and her 5 month old sister Lexi, Red and white polka dot Minnie mouse dresses. Then off we paraded through Disneyland with my personal Minnie Mouse and mini Minnie. Katey took her role as Minnie Mouse serious and would give a " parade wave " and blow kisses as we traveled through the magical kingdom. It was wonderful to have the stamina to be on my feet all day for 2 1/2 days with a Mouse on my hip. Jo It was nice to be missed

I only have 76 more post to go to get caught up....now for something that I have been dreading facing up to.....I might not make it Sunday....I'm worried....Let me explain. Joe is celebrating his 50th birthday Saturday...lots of folks coming from out of town/state. We will have several Overnighters. At least 6 Motor homes and I don't know how many in the house...Then there is talk of taking the out of state visitors to Marine World or something...Don't know if that is going to happen for sure or If we are going to join them. The point is I'm greiving about the possibility of missing the pool party. Let me state...If I can make it at all, even if just for a short time I WILL be there....
