Jackie, don't underestimate the depression. It can be life-threatening;

some subjects have gotten suicidal and have actually gone through with it.

Try to see it from another perspective: if your partner really stops

drinking and stays stopped, his liver will be regenerating itself. If he

stays sober for six months (let's say), his body will start to heal and he

will go a LONG way toward having a healthy liver.

I would suggest that you and he just work on that for now: his staying

sober! Get some help; find a support group (AA worked for me, but it's not

the only way). There are a lot on line. In six months, with a major

victory under his belt, he and you will be in a better position to look at

treatment options.

, I dont underestimate really, I hope it settles down and that

the increased dosage of celexa helps as well as the therapy, but I

know what he has been through before and I know it is hard for him to

deal with a lot of things and he has a past with suicide attemtps

included. This is just not easy and I hope things will go smoothly,

its like sitting on needles just waiting for the balloon to pop

sometimes though.

Jackie what kind of anti-depressants is he on?? That may help him alot and then he can go on treatment..My thoughts are with you..

Jackie my hubby is suppose to take Celexa too..I see the difference when he does take it..I like it when he is on that..Less aggrevated..

I'd certainly keep a close eye on him. This treatment

can wear on you emotionally just because it gets old.

I have found learning as much as I can and telling my

doctor everything is very helpful. If I had accepted

the extreme fatigue as part of treatment, he may never

have looked as closely at my thyroid. He is a great

dr. but if I don't tell him everything and give him

all the details, he can't guess. I started thyroid med

today so maybe I'll get some of my energy back. Always

remember the patient MUST take an active role in his

treatment or someone close to him should. My husband

was at every dr's appointment with me until he saw I

could do it myself. He should know what a pain in the

a-- I can be. Well, take care and know we're here for

you. Keep your sense of humor as " this too shall pass "

Hi,

My name is and I am wanting to have the best body that I have

ever had. It has taken me several years to realize that I am not fat,

(thanks to my daughter, she made me realize this). I just need to

exercise to become fit and have that body that I have always dreamed

of having.

I had always been skinny growing up. So skinny that I tried to eat as

much as my mother would allow me to. For a couple of years after

leaving home I didn't try to gain weight.

Then when I was 19 years old I had major surgery and lost more

weight. One of my major problems is that this surgery was done on my

abdomen (my scar is from my belly button to my private part) I'd love

to know what I can do (if any) to flatten this out.

Now I am 40 and love eating and have gained weight. The funny thing

is now I don't want it. The truth of the matter is I just need to

tone up.

I don't know where to begin and I thought I would try a personal

fitness trainer.

One of my questions is ..... does this REALLY work?? Besides buying

the book (what is the name of the book?) what do I need to start off

doing?

I am totally lost to this, if anyone could help point me in the

directions that I need to go in that would be wonderful.

Way to go na, loves his trike so much the pedals have broken

off.It is good exercize and I dont think it puts alot of stress on the

joints.For his 4th b-day hes getting a big wheel,I hope they still have

the hand brake so you can do donuts.As a child there was nothing better

than racing down your drive as fast as you could and pulling that brake,weeee.

I just thought I should add a comment or two on that subject. Another

cause of mold on your grasses is when the soil does not have enough

minerals. I am a organic gardener, and from past experiences, I have

found out a secret or two about wheatgrass. This method is also very

effective, as I had the same problem. You can add to your soil some

granite powder. No need to purchase it, just go to the nearest place

where they cut and polish granite, and ask for some of the dust. They

normally throw it away, therefore there is no need to pay neither a

dollar nor a cent.

Hello Sproutpeople,

Many thanks to Dinesh and Tom who generously shared information on

growing wheatgrass in the tropics. I'm pleased to report a beautiful

new crop, all growing happily mold-free.

I'm wondering if anyone out there knows of the method of composting

inside developed by Anne Wigmore? I'd love to be able to make my own

soil to grow the wheatgrass in, and it's not possible to do it outdoors

in our situation. Apparently the method developed by Wigmore is

odor-free.
