maybe I should start drinking coffee too!! Woowoo!

Let's all get together and start negotiating for a Merchant Services

Provider who will give us a great rate on credit cards including the free

machine that should cost about $30 but costs $1200.

I got locked into a rate with B of A at 3% even though I bank with US Bank.

US Bank can't match it so I zap the cards w to B of A and they make a weekly

deposit to US Bank.On top of that the B of A card center is in San Francisco

so when I swipe the card it makes a 1-800 long distance call. Weird but

works.

(I can also get free advice on window treatments and home interiors from the

card service center in SFO, so there's an added benefit.)

I also got the card machine at a going out of business sale for $10. HEE

HEE. The bank wants me to buy a new one that has tons of features that I

don't have like, well, processing credit cards. OK mine does that but it's

so OLD! The new ones have the ability to take debit cards which I don't need

it but I might some day. I should buy it but it's $1200 unless I lease it

from the bank for about #30/ month. It's only $30 and a real doctor wouldn't

worry about it but alas, I do.

I just started Visa processing at Stalkfleet Chiropractic with Washington

Mutual, and liked everything about the process. They told me where to buy

a refurb imprinter machine with printer for $300, and my average discount

rate based on an estimated $1000 a month business is 3.77%. It goes down

with higher volume. If interested, just go to a WAMU financial center in

your town and talk to a merchant officer.Ron Johansen

Vicky-

It's great Jess is doing so well with relatively little medication. I hope the mtx really does the trick and prevents her from getting any worse. Don't let hearing about sicker kids scare you. Many do quite well, too. As my husband would say, don't worry about problems that might never happen. (I know it's easier said than done). Good luck, and let us know what happens with the mtx.

Hi elizdettrey,

Congratulations on your success!!

What bowel cleanse are you on? What do you mean by " pits " in your eye?

Are the pits on the surface or something you see underneath?

God bless,

Hi Vicky and Jess, Glad to hear that things are going pretty good for you. Thanks for keeping us posted. Keep Smilin':):):)Tree:):):) (unknown) Hi all, I know I have not been writing much but I have been readingall the messages. I sometimes get depressed reading the postings asmy is not real sick and all the kids I am reading about seemso sick (it makes me want to cry). I keep hoping and praying thatshe will not get real sick. Jess was diagnosed with Systemic OnsetJRA in December, she has been on Naprosyn and then was switched toIndosyn. She went back to see her Rheumy on Tuesday (May 7) and theydid more blood work. Her CRP level has continued to go down and isat 1.1 with .5 being normal. Her Rheumy has decided to put her on alow does of MTX to try and nip this thing in the bud and get herlevels back to normal. She took her first does (pill form) on Fridayand did well with it. I am hoping this will be all it takes to headoff this nasty disease before it affects her joints. She has not hadthe fevers since a week or so after starting on the Naprosyn but hascontinued to have the rash. I pray for all of you every day and forJess as well. Children do not deserve to be this sick.Vicky ( 7, systemic)

Dear Jona, You have a very creative mind, and a mind in fear will create what it needs to squash that fear. When I was facing my first hip surgery I put it off for two years thinking I could not die with a small child for my husband to raise alone. I was so fearful of dying that all kinds of simple things started to scare me. It was just fear talking, fear of the unknown, and being out of control and helpless to a point. When I finally was forced to have the surgery I then change my fears to wild dreams about waking in the operating room with a fire alarm going off and i was on one table and my leg was on another. I was advised to watch a hip replacement surgery and I never had those awful dreams again. Our bodies have some special ways to deal with fear and stress and anxiety , the best way to deal with it is to when you can't do anything about a situation just give it to God , the rest is all about educating yourself because knowledge is power over fear. Also you have made a huge step by just writing this email and probably seeing that we all have those days when we wished everything was different and we could change something or time, that would put everything back the way it used to be. Venting on here is just like going to therapy in alot of ways only we're cheaper , ( dare I say more knowledgable lol) , compassionate and we always have your best interest at heart because most of us have walked more than a few miles in your shoes :) :):):):)Tree:):):):):) (unknown) Children do not deserve to be this sick. You should feel very fortunate, but I do know how you feel and I know its hard to not feel that way. Its just sad for these kids and I have prayed to god so many times to please take this disease from my child and give it to me instead; I would do anything if I could trade places with my baby. I would do it in a heartbeat. And something else that I wanted to post, I know you all are gonna think that I am crazy but I just have to get this off my chest; Has anybody ever wondered about the cause of this disease, well crazy things run through my head that I just can't get out of my head, like ; "what if when the doctor gave my baby her immunization it was really some kind of experimental drug and thats what caused this disease?" and "What if thats how everyone who has this disease got this disease, when a doctor gave them some kind of shot and it was an experimental drug that had never been tested on a human before?" And I just keep thinking about it and I think," well the doctors have to have someone to test experimental drugs on and I don't know what's really in that needle" Please don't kick me out of this group for posting this, I just had to get that off of chest and see if anyone else ever thinks like that or am I reaaly crazy? darling i have thought of the same thing i have wondered ALOT what i have done to cause this on my child and i would take it from her and deal with it if she could be as she once was running playing and skates on all the time and riding her bike everyday

hanging out with the friends and never seen a wheelchair or braces and feel pain as she has theres a reason for everything i just wish i knew what the reason was so i could do better

the baby shots i really wonder about because she did get them and so did my son but at different times in life was allergic to the MMR shot was it where i took her was it where i shopped or was it the clothes i bought her or the washing powders i used in the back of my head i still wonder about what went wrong was it because i didnt watch her closer or didnt say i love you enough or was it something i did like maybe call my mom enough the old saying is what comes around goes around god i never disrespected no one i have been as honest a person as i can be do for others kinda like the person who takes the 10 commandments seriously but dont go to church much or was it that i had to care for my mother in law and father in law because thier own kids wanted to ship them to a nurseing home and throw them away and those nights that i had to get up at 2am and rush them to the ER and had to go with me because she wouldnt stay at home many nights spent like that for 5 years or was it the fertility drug i took to get my angel that backfired on me because i wanted my little angel after haveing my son then 3 miscarriages

the doctor plainly said you cant have anymore kids then one doctor said ok lets try this and i jumped on it things fly through my head i have to think in the NOW and the future right now

i was given a angel and shes special no matter what i was picked to have and i wouldnt have lost the chance to experience this for the world god thought each of us was special enough to have these kids and he knew we are fighters and our kids will have a more fighting power JRA may have strickened our kids but its NOT going to ruin their life because we as parents are tough enough and rough enough to have our kids inherit our fighting powers of nothings going to stop us now and with each passing day is a day we and our kids survive years and years ago this disease rhuematic was fatal now its getting better survivable with pain and boy i dont like to see the pain in these kids but theres medication

to try and relieve it god will always look after his kids no matter what when you get down and sad read "Foot Prints In The Sand"

i have all difference inspirational things on my walls here and each day i will read at least one and also see i can do anything impossible with the strength of god where do you think we get that extra strength to go on from?

do we get it because we dont have faith hope and love?

faith to believe hope to go on love to keep me Robbin

PS

Jona

vent anytime sweetie no one will get on to you because of what your thinking its called venting and getting angery about whats going on with your angel

Jona..I don't think anyone is going to kick you off the post or think you

are crazy. We have all wondered ourselves about how and why and where did

old Arthur get its ugly face!!! If you go to the main at ..in

the archives(i hope i spelled that right) there should be lots of post on

it..where people have posted and asked the same question. I was told by a

pedy rheumy that it is hereditary and could be from generations ago..now

with Tabitha we believe that she had it in her body but it was asleep..or

dormant..when she was 4 she had bruised her middle thumb on a swing...which

of course this was figured out after the initial diagnosis. She got a stiff

neck to where her neck would touch her chest..she could barely chew her food

when she ate..well i thought at first she just slept wrong...well then the

high fevers started at night mostly..so I ended up taking her to a local

emergency room..which at first the doctor said her neck was stiff due to a

sore throat..even though he couldn't look at her throat..I then told him

that she is 4 and a half and old enough to tell me when her throat is

bothering her..So I asked him to xray her neck and her finger(because the

swelling was still there)then he ordered blood test..that was back in 89'

but he came and told me..she had arthritis..i was in shock as many are..to

hear a child has arthritis..so she spent a week there and then a week at

childrens hospital of pittsburgh..

okay..i got off track..anyways..the doctor and i believe it was actually the

bruising of her middle finger that triggered the arthrits and then it just

started to keep going.

Now I don't actually know of anyone in my family who has had jra..but on my

dads side a lady told me that there was someone who had years ago..for my

sanity I had to stop wondering and blaming this and that to go on..for

Tabithas sake and mine.

Okay I hope I didn't confuse you..if I did I am sorry. But this was my

thought and experience and I wanted to share it with you.

Good luck

Katharine,

so sorry about your dad. If you are unable to make the trip I am sure your family will understand. Take care of yourself and know that we are all here for you. If you do make the trip make sure you take your time and allow time for rest when you get there.

Kathyrn,

So sorry to hear about your father. I hope that you are able to find some

peace if you do not feel like making the trip. You have been through so much

recently. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I know how difficult this

must be. I am very fortunate to still have both my mother and father with me

but I do remember the terrible grief and loss I felt with the passing of my

grandmother who I was extremely close with.

Take care of yourself.

My father passed away this morning. I am a 6hr drive away and still not sure what to do. Even a short trip wears me out. I feel very overwhelmed..../WA

<P> Hi Jackie. Because the treatment causes depression

in and of itself, they are very careful about

administering it to somebody already suffering from

depression. I know you're probably sick of hearing it

(and I am better at saying it than doing it, too), but

it takes patience. It's a very positive step that he

has stopped drinking. As far as that bit about not

being active, that doesn't really have much meaning. I

suppose the bloodwork must've been near normal, which

is a good sign, but you'll learn more when you see the

gastroenterologist. & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; -dz-

Find out the viral load. If it's undetectable, don't

worry, it's not active. Keep getting checked every so

often. That is what I would do. He may need to

increase depression meds but it can be done, they just

have to monitor you more closely.
