Guest guest
Otter co-op has outlets in BC. http://www.ottercoop.com/feed.cfmThey have their own mill and organic feed line. The cost has never been extreme through them and you can buy bulk!!!!!!! :)KurtisHi all,We're going to be driving a motorhome & trailer from So. Cal. toAlaska next week. (We live in AK, just doing the drive for a localmotorhome company.) We'll be either going up I-5 from LA to Seattle,or (more likely) up I-15 from LA to Sweetgrass (Montana bordercrossing). If anyone knows of a great feed/tack/dairy supply store oneither of these routes, would you please let us know? We wouldespecially be excited to find a source for organic dairy goat andchicken feed or goat minerals, since organic feed of any kind iscompletely unavailable in Alaska. Best if it's not too far off the interstate, and plenty of room to getin and out. You can email off-list if you want, packnmilkak (DOT) netThanks,Suzy & Mike in AK

Guest guest
Also, In Season Farms Limited in Abbotsford, BC has great organic, no-soy feed for lots of animals. We get deliveries down in the States about 4x a year and really like the product. They don’t have a website, but the phone is . They are on Huntington Rd. and they do bulk as well. Guest guest
well, i was a gymnast for 12 years and after i had my daughter I started getting really severe back aches. they were maybe once every two or three months. they progressively got worse as the years went by until i had a backache that didnt go away. i tried every kind of treatment possible i.e. pt, at, traction, injections, medications. nothing helped. i ended up being hospitialized for a backache and got some new testing like an mri and such. i met a surgeon that agreed to help me. of course he made me do some additonal things first. anyone ever hear of a discogram? painful test. so after my 1st surg i improved and felt great for about 5months. everything came back worse than before, and there was also different problems. dr said 2nd operation would fix it. it didn't. i can't do anything. i had two fusions of L4-L5, L5-S1. I wore a " turtle shell " for both but after the second, it took me nearly 5months to wean off of it. now i'm at a pain clinic with a wonderful doctor and trying some new injections called caudels. i applied for disabilty a month before my 1st surgery cuz i thought i could take a year off and not be so poor, turns out i've been unable to work for over three years and i was denied twice. i have a lawyer fighting for me now and hope it works out. main reasoning is my age. but the age of my body is not the age of my years. grasshopperx_10 <woody10@...> wrote: Hi jamie, welcome to the group. Guest guest
, I hope you get your disability!!That would be a help. Alot of the people here on this board know alot about that topic. Its not a good time to be poor, with all the prices going nuts.!!! Not funny. We are poor, and the gas is eating us up alive, and we live in a rural state and you have to drive. That sounds like you had a terrible time with your surgery's. Sometimes i think no matter what a persons age, using the body too much in a certain way, brings on alot of problems. I use to waitress, and lift heavy trays on my one shoulder, and my neck is a mess. I bet you hurt like crazy. Well this is a good place to come. tThe folks on this board have tried all kinds of treatments, and maybe someone will come up with an idea to help you. Sometimes the board is quiet, so be patient. I just always am on the computer, and i saw your post and wanted to welcome you.cindy > > > > Hi my name is . Guest guest
thanks for your support. i do have a supportive family, but they don't really know what it's like. tell me about your neck. I used to waitress too, in my early twenties but had to quit every single job when a back ache occurred. they didn't care to carry my trays for me! have you had any surgeries? i don't not reccomend them, because sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. grasshopperx_10 <woody10@...> wrote: , I hope you get your disability!!That would be a help. Guest guest
Hi , I have also had a failed back surgery and gone through all the treatments like you. I'm 32, have 3 boys and am a single mom; life is very challenging! it's great that you have a lawyer, keep fighting, you deserve to get SSDI benefits! Most people do have to get to the ALJ level to win so try not to get discouraged. I had my ALJ hearing April 10 and got my approval letter yesterday. Best of luck to you! > > > > Hi my name is . Guest guest
Hi . I did try twice by myself, but it's not possible. I really have a hard time doing anything. I don't shop or clean very much. I get depressed, but it could be a lot worse. The doctor I have right now is very understanding. The surgeon could care less. I got my lawyer in january. How long did it take for you to get the hearing? <the_learningtree2000@...> wrote: Hi , I have also had a failed back surgery and gone through all the treatments like you. Welcome to the group. You are among a group of similar suffering souls who can relate. If you go to the group home page, them find the area with members stories and read Dave Story you'll find we have similar stories. I suffered from failed surgeries after 3 back surgeries with fusions and (1) really failed neck surgery with fusion. It took me about 2.5 years to win SSDI. The best thing you can do is file. Then get a lawyer. You won't win with a lawyer. The lawyer will cost you nothing until you win, they then take a reasonable and capped amount. The best thing is you will get the 2-3 years or whatever back pay. When you win, they go back to when you filed. Get every test under the Sun, keep great medical records and a written log of your daily pain and life log. SSDI and your medical records only count after you stopped working. I hurt myself by trying to be a good citizen and pushing myself to work for over 5 years past my first surgery. I was self employed and if I didn't work, I didn't eat or have a roof over my head. But I finally couldn't do it anymore. There are plenty of city, county, and state programs to help you. Food stamps, Cash Assistance, assistance for fuel, electric etc. It's all there for the asking. Please feel free to ask any questions if I can help you, or others who have recently won their cases. It will take much longer if you don't have a lawyer. I used Binder & Binder who advertise on TV all the time. They won't take you on if they don't think you have a case. I had to stay on them, but when it came to my day in court, they sent a wonderful lawyer, who won my case for me. Welcome, Dave Reading, PA Age 48. Real bad back since age 22. 2 failed surgeries at age 40 in 2000.

Guest guest
Thanks. I'm using Pankow. A know a couple of people that have used him and won. The only thing I'm doing now is managing the pain and trying to get well enough for some time of therapy. My pain doctor isn't rushing me into anything though. I had two fusions, but the second one was right on top of the first not completely healed one. And two bone grafts with it. I have a scars that are like an arrow. I don't really have a life. I sit on the couch all day. When I was younger I kept working with the pain, too. I would go to work barely able to walk and they would send me home. When it came to surgery I figured I deserved time to recover and heal before I got back out there. My boyfriend of 6yrs is self employed and completely supports me and my daughter. He's wonderful. Now I couldn't imagine even doing any kind of work. I have so few good days where I feel well enough to even get up. --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now. Guest guest
Lynn, Welcome to the group. This is a great place to ask questions. Everyone is very helpful. There are even some here who have been dealing with the disease over 30 years, and have alot of experiences to draw from. I hope things get better soon.
