Guest guest
I feel like superwoman now that they fixed the thyroid problem, but I'm also aware that next week I could be flat on my back. We do what we have to. I hope you got to rest and enjoy your day. By Monday you may feel more like doing something. So maybe you just weren't supposed to do that today. Have a good night. Guest guest
Kids! Well, have fun in your yardsale. We had our first rain of the spring (not counting snow & sleet) over 2 inches yesterday. We were planning to go up to our family cemetery and clean it up, cut the grass etc... , But of course we got out of that! Looks pretty gloomy so far today as well. We'll see... Anyway, hope you make a nice profit to defray some of those growing pains the kids laid on you. Guest guest
I wish you could send some of that rain down here. For the last five years we have only had about 1/2 our norrmal rain fall. Northern Az has only had about 1/2 of there snow fall. Most of our lakes have less then 50% of there norrmal water level. They have closed most of the US Forest in northern Az "Only the 3rd time in 30 Years" because they are so dry. The ones that are still open ban all camp fires. Broccoli is wonderful I microwave it when I cook it since I'm lazy that way but I don't think 4 cups a day is a bad thing. In fact, I called EAS with the question of how much in the way of veggies I could eat And they said to knock myself out with the authorized veggies. Besides.. it's much healthier to get your nutrients from real food. > Also, for > dinner yesterday I had two boca burgers instead of > one, 1 pattie didn't seem to have enough protein in it > (I believe it was 13 grams/pattie), was that a bad > move? Guest guest
- you really can't have too many veggies! And it is fine that you increased to two boca burgers! You're on the right track now! Keep up the good work! Rita (unknown) Happy Holidays to you all!!!!! I sent an email last week around about my meals wanting input as to what you all thought of what I was eating, if it was up to par or not. Well first of all I GREATLY appreciate all the feedback I received, it was all taken to heart. I guess now I have a few MORE questions to see if the changes I have made are for the better. The biggest thing I heard from most of you was that it didn't seem like I was getting enough veggies, SO I started yesterday and had some more, instead of 1 cup of canned green beans (which you guys seemed to really frown upon, understandably) I had two cups of fresh boiled brocolli at lunch and dinner. Now I am afraid that was too much, did I go overboard with that, I LOVE brocolli so that was easy to do. Also, for dinner yesterday I had two boca burgers instead of one, 1 pattie didn't seem to have enough protein in it (I believe it was 13 grams/pattie), was that a bad move? I know everyone has different opinions and it is really all what seems to work for me but I love to hear your advise and input. \Thanks in advance.\
Guest guest
- I'm behind on posts (again!), so sorry if everyone has already responded... 1. Brocolli is great! Brocolli is safe!! Brocolli is a go for it food. Have as much as you want, whenever you want! 2. It is fine to have 2 boca burger patties as far as protein goes. You should shoot for between 20-30 grams protein/carbs per meal. Check how many carbs you get with the 2 boca burgers, I can't remember if that will push you over. Guest guest
I totally aggree! It made me sick. Where were the studies supporting manipulation for LBP, HA, neck pain?? Just a frustrated ex-DC and a " quack buster " ranting about the risk and refering to a 1 " study " . Why is it that taking a pill for a headache, which may lead to GI complications and death, while doing nothing for the underlying problem is OK, but manipulation or other manual treatment for the cervical dysfunction or trigger point which is the source of the HA is not worth the risk? This makes me tired. Seitz, DC >From: " A. DeShaw, D.C., P.C. Guest guest
Joan, Your docs must think your thyroid is off. I have had thyroid problems most of my life. The lab work you are doing is called a TSH level. Depending on the results they give you a medication that you take every day the rest of your life. It is another autoimmune disease. gayle/trans.6-99 galye@... @` \I/
Guest guest
Hi Becki, It is Carolyn again. I too am on Neurontin. The fatigue associated with this drug is amazing. How much are you on if you don't mind me asking? I take 1800mgs. a day. I have that foggy mind thing happening, and I hate to admit it but it does help me sleep a night. Unfortunately it also helps me sleep during the day! Now, you mention the percocet, wow, what a combination with neurontin, I am suprised you were able to type! I am always given percocet after a surgery and well....off to sleepy land I go. Can I ask why you are on both? I am sorry to hear about your lung condition. The other meds I am on are enbrel and methotrexate. I am interested in your imuran and remicade combination, do you find this combo helpful? Take care, Carolyn JRA 34 years.
