NIlda,

I felt like I was dying every dang day when I first found out then shortly after

that I was pregnant and unsure if it was going to hurt my little baby I was

carrying.

Thank the good Lord he is with out Hep C but my oldest son is not. That

depresses the crap out of me also. But I try not to dwell on the sadness because

being sad for me only makes matters worse. So get my tail feathers up and hug my

kids, go fishing, for a walk, read a book about positive things. Yes sometimes I

scream Why me other says I say If I only do this I will not have the disease

lol. Duh, it is not going away. So I had to learn to work with what I have. This

body and this disease and I read about it. Trying to put more healthy things in

my body. I dont drink or do drugs. I talk about my feelings here and with

friends I trust.

You can have a life I thought at first cause as a nurse I was working in a

nursing home and right after I was diagnosed we got a young person in our

facility had hep C. He died very quickly. I just really got so upset I had to

stop working for a while. Now I have realized I have to learn to talk about my

own fears of death and dying most people dont want to talk about it. But

sometimes we just have to deal with things that make us afraid. So I choose

today to live. To love my kids, to work and try to do something with my life

other than feel crappy. Cause I dont deserve that and you my dear dont either.

God bless you and everyone!!

Dont forget to laugh today !!

I have a joke hope noone is offended

This week's promise: God's timing is perfect

No need to worry

Let heaven fill your thoughts. Do not think only about things down here on

earth.

Colossians 3:2 NLT

Worry is the interest paid on trouble before it falls due.

It is not work that kills men; it is worry. Worry is rust upon the blade.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------\

-----

When Abraham Lincoln was on his way to Washington to be inaugurated, he spent

some time in New York with Horace Greeley and told him an anecdote that was

meant to be an answer to the question everybody was asking him: Are we really

going to have civil war?

In his circuit-riding days, Lincoln and his companions, riding to the next

session of court, had crossed many rivers. But the Fox River was still ahead of

them; and they said one to another, " If these streams gives us so much trouble,

how shall we get over the Fox River? "

When darkness fell, they stopped for the night at a log tavern, where they fell

in with the Methodist presiding elder of the district, who rode through the

country in all kinds of weather and knew all about the Fox River. They gathered

around him and asked him about the present state of the river.

" Oh, yes, " replied the circuit rider, " I know all the Fox River. I have crossed

it often and understand it well. But I have one fixed rule with regard to the

Fox River—I never cross it till I reach it. "

Please Nilda,

I remember feeling this same way after first diagnosis. I made myself get out

and take a walk. If you can just get up and walk to the front door or out to

your backyard try it.

As long as there is breathe there is hope

You have friends here that really do care what happens to you. (((((((HUGS)

When I was first diagnosed in 1980 I felt so alone.  I finally found a support

group.  They asked all the new comers to say a little about themselves.  When my

turn came, I teared up and said, I'm so sorry for each one of us who is here but

I am so happy to have found this group.  I felt like I was the only one in the

world who had it.  My dr told me, don't tell anyone you have the because they

will think you r a junkie.  I said then that's the very reason I will tell

everyone I meet about it, how to prevent getting it, what to expect as it

progresses.  I think the reason we hep c victims don't have a cure yet is

because somehow guilty.  Even if we did get it from drugs we are still victims.

Never forget that and talk to everyone.  Sooner or later we must ban together

and let D.C. and the world hear us.  That's what gays did and they got heard and

curew were found.  We must unite.

Stick in there kid.  You probably won't die from hep.  You may die from a cold

or fle as we have no immune systems but you may get run over by a bus also.
