Guest guest
In my humble opinion, none; but I don't subscribe to herbal remedies. When a patient starts a western medication therapy s/he gets advice from a doctor regarding which meds to take, how much, how often, etc. I feel the same applies with CAM therapy. A patient needs to get the advice from a Complementary Alternative Medicine practitioner before starting a herbal regimen. I hope no one reads a few articles about herbs and runs down to the store and fills a basket with what sounds good. As I said, IMHO. > > glen, exactly how much m.thistle should we take in a day? >
Guest guest
Hi all, What is everyone’s thought on high phosphorus foods and how it effects the liver ? I know it can be crappy to the kidneys any thoughts just curious if anyone has any thought about it or if there is a need to even worry about it. ( high phos foods are CHEESE, MILK, PEANUT BUTTER?? ) My doc put me on diabetes meds metformin 1000mg BID imagine that lol after that hell treatment with interferon that did not work only still paying for it and did not work. Plus my health is getting worse. I take this milk thistle stuff when my dang clouded brain remembers it. Dang I am negative but getting more scattered brained all the time. Fustrating to say the least. Guest guest
Em, did the doctor have another plan after the interferon didn't work? I have opted not the take the combination of drugs offered for two reasons, no one with genotype 1A seems to do well with them, and cost is prohibitive for me. And I know it would be slightly impossible to work a full time job. I live by myself so just thank God each and everyday that I can get up and come to work. Hang in there, you're not alone and we all get negative and crabby once in a while. Guest guest
I was dx with this in 2005 my first son was 2 at the time. I think this probably all is related to the dang diabetes and not the hep C. The confusion late afternoon and feeling so tired that could be that I am 41 with a 2 year old and a 6 year old that run me ragged. Lol. Plus I am back to working full time since my husband is having hell in his career field and we now live in HELL paso so… Everyone that crosses the border can get a better job because they don’t ask for much. I don’t blame them hell I would leave Jaurez too with all the killing and crap going on over there. Seriously I love working and have a great job now compared to the headache I use to have. I grade a lot of papers in the middle of the night but still less stress that the on call stuff. Guest guest
Wow that sucked. I like to think I am more than just a puppet in this little thing called life. I think my higher power might really like me even with all my faults and that maybe I am being taught somethings before I die. I can even go so far as to say I think my higher power wants me to have some happiness and throw some snow balls at some people. Today I can not even stand due to some strange back pain that sadly I could not even get my panties up and had to have my husband help me get off the toilet lol. That is funny as hell I hurt like a son of a biscuit !!! but I be danged if I am going to let it spoil the Christmas spirit and my kids are counting on " santa " to arrive. I did manage to wrap up some gifts still need to finish a couple my poor husband trying to help me roll up the sausage balls that I just cant seem to get done right with this back hell I am in but I am alive I am hanging tough.!! Have a wonderful blessed Christmas and you can share my higher power he is cool !! Guest guest
Hi, . Reading your post brought up some bad memories of my own back problems. However, about 6 months ago, I bought the back support below, which has totally revitalized my activities. I've already had a lamenectomy, but I'll always have a bad back. With this brace, I am now able to carry 40 pound bags of mulch or whatever, plus I can bend over and work, at least for awhile. I think I got mine at Walmart or CVS, but this particular on is the best: Velcro everywhere and it fastens around you with 3 separate tighteners. Just a thought.
