Please Nilda,

I remember feeling this same way after first diagnosis. I made myself get out

and take a walk. If you can just get up and walk to the front door or out to

your backyard try it.

As long as there is breathe there is hope

You have friends here that really do care what happens to you. (((((((HUGS)

Hey thanks folks for all the cool responses and phone numbers and stuff. I feel

so loved I have been on this group for a long time but during the interferon I

was a nut. I am still but not as nutty as I was during interferon. I just saw a

recovery buddy from NA at the doctor's office but it is not the same I feel so

close to you people cause you really know. And yes I got it from iv drug use I

think people forget that nurses are people too. Sometimes coping with everyone

sick and dying and all that gets lonely. But I am learning how to process things

without drugs or booze hell I dont even smoke anymore. I have to watch my weight

which is tough and somedays I feel like hell I have had to give up just about

everything I love even some of the foods. But I guess I can thank God I can

still have a wild roll in the hay with my husband ( when he is not too exhausted

from work) And I am not sleeping lol. which seems like most of the time.

anyways hugs to all and smile, laugh and stay positive.

love you all,

emily

Deborah I don't know if you remember me, I am Nilda , we use to be in

contact when I was living in New York, I moved to Puerto Rico because my

depression got so bad that my father had to come and get me, I was at a

psyciatric hospital depending on medication, addicted to them because of my

ansiety and depression due to knowing that one day the Hepc will killme, I still

on treatment for depresssion, it is under control, but still, knowing that I am

sick is still killing me, I have not accept the desease yet.  So far all the

test shows that my liver is doing fine but when, but when is going to happen,

when Am I going to get really sick I dont know.  You use to cheer me up, I hope

you remeber me.

c,i just found out awhile ago.anyhow i felt i wanted to do something for him

seeing his income is little.i picked him up some milk thistle and dropped it off

by him and a few days later i seen him and he said that it made him feel like

fluid or bloating in his lungs or something to that effect.he did tell me that

his urine is dark brown sometimes so could it be that his liver is to far gone?

sad part about him is that he doesnt drink everyday but when he does he gets

Deborah, I looked around regarding high potassium. I would keep an eye on it;

repeat the test or look back at previous tests to see if you have a history of

it. It seems to be regulated by the kidneys and diuretics. Maybe you should

grab your doctor by the ears, get good eye contact and tell him to explain why

you don't need to worry about it.

For Glenn, Deborah and all of us here: I hope all of us our saving our blood

test results, as has been posted so many times. Unless you know how to use

Microsoft Excel or another spreadsheet program, it is very difficult to make an

accurate graph or flowchart of a particular blood test result, followed over

several months. After long searches, I found the following site, which I have

used to create and save a " Bar Code " flowchart of my WBC's and Lymphs, though it

can be used for any blood test result. The printed graph gives a Doctor an

immediate and accurate portrayal of one's condition, and cannot be dismissed as

just some b.s. from you, the " layman " patient. Give this a try! It's quite easy

to do, just make sure you save it by having it emailed to you:

thanks glen, yeah and you would think that she would tell me what foods i should

avoid like what, bananas, yogurt all those that are high in potassium that i WAS

eating alot of but she said nothing. shes just my regular doc. i went in to see

her about 6 months after i found out i had c,i was tierd and of course still a

bit upset over the news and i sat out in the waiting room for almost 45 minutes

before they called me in and there was no one out in the waiting room. i was so

fraustrated that when the nurse called me to go in and was taking my blood

pressure and all,i was so distraut by then,i started crying. i do not like this

doctor.shes younger than i and i can feel shes just out for her paycheck. thanks

glen!

It's quite easy

to do, just make sure you save it by having it emailed to you:

check up and my potassium level was 5.7 and normal is between 3.5-5.1. doc said

its nothing to worry about. what is your take on this, how do you feel about it

and is the hep c causing this? or am i just eating to much food with potassium

in it...

Deborah, I looked around regarding high potassium. I would keep an eye on it;

repeat the test or look back at previous tests to see if you have a history of

it. It seems to be regulated by the kidneys and diuretics. Maybe you should grab

your doctor by the ears, get good eye contact and tell him to explain why you

don't need to worry about it.
