While you're waiting for Bee to reply, you can do a search yourself by going to

Bee's website:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/

She has a fabulous search engine. Type in 'acid reflux' (or whatever topic

you're interested in) and viola!

Hello Bee and everyone

Recently I had been making excellent progress on the programme (3 years and

counting) with new healing/detox symptoms appearing (and then disappearing

again) every month. However the past 2 months I have developed acid reflux/GERD

in my oesophagus, which isn't going away. I find this perplexing, since I have

never had it before, and for the past 6 months had really been experiencing

better digestion, as a consequence of taking HCl (between 4 and 8 tablets of

350mg each meal, depending on level of protein) and carefully chewing or

sometimes even blending foods. I also drink bone broths regularly. I suppose my

question is why acid reflux should start up at this late stage, and when

everything seemed to be heading in a positive direction? I know GERD can be

aggravated by carbs, which I'm not having; I've also heard that it may be

related to bacterial overgrowth.

I am quite distressed by this since my mother also has it, despite strictly

adhering to the diet- and her father died of oesophageal cancer after years of

Barrett's Oesophagus, quite young, in his 50s. I get disheartened sometimes

thinking that genetic predisposition wins out whatever one does... and I have

been such a fan of the new epigenetics science and have fervently believed that

you can affect how genes are expressed, through diet and all the things we talk

about.

I suppose what I'm wondering, rather more optimistically, is if this could just

be where symptoms have 'migrated' to lately, and then might go away...

Thanks and all best

(Manchester UK)

Hi - I found for GERD Acid Reflux. I changed my pillow to an elbow pillow and put in a big cushion cover that holds both sides of the pillow together in a horseshoe shape. On top of that I bought a latex neck pillow and am sleeping about 40 cms high in raised position. Sleeping in raised position can help.I also started drinking several cups of Herbal brand Peppermint tea. Apparently this forms a protective layer on the stomach someone told me. Seems to be working for me. I also take NEXIUM for GERD - it is magnesium.Took about 1 month but appears no more gerd.Sandy
