Guest guest
Your ability to treat is based on whether your liver is compensated or decompensated, so you can talk to your doc about that. I’ll find some info on cirrhosis stages & post before I go to work. I personally would work as long as I was physically capable because I hear the money’s not that great in disability. Try to stay calm, and start making a list of questions for the doc for your appt. Big hugs, /De biopsy results Hi everyone, i'm a little freaked out right now. The doctors office called with my biopsy results. I am stage 4 advanced cirrosis. Can anyone shed some light on this for me. I will not see my doc until the 29th of this month to discuss treatment opptions. Can I even do treatment at this point ? Please any feed back will be appreciated. I don't know whether to look into disability now at work or just wait. Deanna Rae

Guest guest
Yes, I'd love copies of the scans! Thanks for the update. sounds like you're getting really excellent care. I'm sorry your band surgeon was not very interested in doing any testing to find why you were having so much trouble. Sandy > > Sandy, > > you were right, they found bacteria called H. Pylori that is causing erosion in the lining of the stomach. So now I have 2 kinds of antibiotics and one is a huge pill, it took me 15 minutes to crash and swalow the 2 medications. > > I also have the hernia, photos of it are confusing to me, in fact the bacteria is located after the band location, on the big stomach. > It is funny to see the how the stomach is sqeezed from the inside due to the band. > > Sandy, if you are interested on this photos for the library, I got it scan in color and I can email to you. > > Thank you for your support, > > Lidia > > > > > > > > > > Recent Activity > > > 6 > New MembersVisit Your Group > > > Give Back > for Good > Get inspired > by a good cause. > > Y! Guest guest
Sandy, I will send the pic to your personal email. The picture is kind of confusing, but may help somebody, so is always good to have it in the library. Dr. Kuri offered to do the endoscopy himself but I already had it scheduled here at my Hospital in California. He was interested and very possitive. I am lucky to have him. I like too my GI doctor, he is a fine caring doctor. Guest guest
Hello everyone. My biopsy result came in. It confirmed the results that the surgeon did when he removed my gallbladder, grade 3, stage 4 cirrhosis stage 4. My gastro wants to wait till the new drug is out and to continue with my weight loss. So I'll be needing to stay on top of when the new drug comes out. So needless to say I'm in a bit of a down mood today. Hope everyone is having a good day. Guest guest
BethNo, if anything, we have a tendency to look even fatter at Stage 4. That's as a result of our livers being so enlarged. Also, I believe that Debbie is actually in full fibrosis (Stage 3) and leaning heavily toward Stage 4. One would only get that weight loss after they were well into Stage 4 and it would mean that they were pretty sick as well. I know a fella up here where I am, that actually looks very "robust" and yet he is definitely well into stage 4.Gloria Sorry to hear the news. Just really don't know what to say other than were here for you. Are you drug sensitive? I thought you lost allot of weight when your at stage 4? Sorry about the questions just want to know.
