I removed taking any antifungal other than unrefined coconut, so you shouldn't be taking nystatin for candida. The reason is because Candida cannot be cured by " killing it off. " It just doesn't work that way. Candida is only cured by building up the immune system, which is done by: 1) Consuming " proper nutrients " (diet plus supplements), 2) Eliminating toxins and foods that feed candida (they also feed bacteria and cancer), 3) Eliminating damaging foods, and 4) Eliminating toxins in general. When the immune system is strong enough it will automatically " make " candida (or any bug, cancer, etc.) change back into the organism it is supposed to be when the body is healthy. It's like the manure pile and the flies, with the manure pile representing the poor condition of the body. You cannot get rid of the manure pile by killing off the flies. You must clean up the manure pile instead, which means building up your immune system. The best in health, Bee

Guest guest
Thanks Mandi, I think you might be right. I used to be a member of another group and parents used it for months on end but my doctor wasn't happy to give it long term. I got some after I had to give antibiotics and then I was cheeky and put in for a repeat prescription to get some more. Maybe I can keep doing that until someone notices! Do you know if long term use is safe? I don't know why he wont let me have it when others can get it with no problem. > > >>Not sure whether this is the issue but I have read that when you stop > and start Nystatin is doesn;t work as well. Guest guest
Hi HelenI know some DANs no longer give Nystatin (including Dr McCandless) because they believe it's ineffective for the yeast which is usually colonised deep in the mucosal lining in our kids, and because the yeast mutates to become stronger and more resistant to Nystatin and other antifungals - this is thought to occur after about 21 days. She also believes it is the cause of fungal flares. Also on Stan Kurtz's website parents have rated success at only 5% with Nystatin. Nystatin is non-systemic which means it only kills yeast in the intestinal tract and needs to be given 4 times a day to be effective. Something like Diflucan is systemic which means it crosses the blood brain barrier and kills yeast all over, however it's very tough on the liver and is prescription only. There are lots of herbal antifungals which are non prescription and effective - Oregano Oil, Caprylic Acid, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Barberry, Garlic, Olive Leaf Extract. You can buy prepared combinations such as Kirkman's Yeast Aid or Bio-Botanical Biocidin. I've heard that herbs should be not be taken for more than a few weeks at a time or they will also become ineffective. A low/no sugar diet also helps a lot. You need to be giving something for bacteria at the same time otherwise any bacteria overgrowth will get worse and take the place of the yeast.Autism Treatment From: helencole04@...Date: Tue, 30 Mar 2010 11:57:09 +0000Subject: Nystatin Hi, every now and again I manage to get some Nystatin from my doctor for my son. Guest guest
> > Dear Bee, > > I understand why you don't recommend using NYSTATIN any longer, however, before my immune system becomes stronger, I'd like to use it to relieve my symptoms of candida. +++Hi Star. It is impossible to relieve your symptoms by taking Nystatin. That is because of how our bodies heal themselves. In fact the dis-ease processes are exactly the same as the healing processes, with the only difference being that on this healthy program you are now progressing towards health rather than becoming more and more unhealthy. So that means you will experience many healing and detoxifying reactions that cannot be avoided. The medical field labels each and every " sign " of poor health as separate dis-eases or illnesses, instead of calling them what they actually are, i.e. " signs " the body is working hard at maintaining its health in spite of poor nutrition, toxins, etc., which means it is trying to heal and detoxify itself. You cannot kill off candida, or any virus, bacteria, etc. anyway. That's why Candida, or any health issue, can only cured by building up the immune system, which is done by: 1) Consuming " proper nutrients " (diet plus supplements), 2) Eliminating toxins and foods that feed candida (they also feed bacteria and cancer), 3) Eliminating damaging foods, and 4) Eliminating toxins in general. You must clean up the manure pile instead, which means building up your immune system. That's why I don't recommend taking any antifungals, other than unrefined coconut oil. But I recommend coconut oil not " because it is antifungal " but because it provides many other health benefits. I suggest you read more about Healing Naturally so you understand your healing and detoxifying reactions and symptoms, and about how your body is going to " retrace " all previous symptoms, illnesses, diseases, injuries, etc. while it is healing itself: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/menu1_2.php Bee

I am using it for urgent need when i cheat in my diet and I need to reduced the rapidly increasing candida. +++Hi Star, Please re-read my reply to you since I explained that you cannot reduce or kill off or get rid of candida that is increasing quickly with any kind of antifungal anyway! You need to get control over your cheating and cravings - search on my website for cravings which has ideas on how to control them. Sorry, but I cannot advise you further if you are going to take nystatin. Bee

Nystatin is an antibiotic that " supposedly " kills candida/fungus, however we know candida/fungus cannot be killed so no antifungals, even nystatin should not be used. Nystatin just gives your body another substance it has to get rid of rather than serve any helpful purpose for health. Bee
Guest guest
Dear Bee, Wow! And to think that I took the generic form of it and broke out in hives! I didn't go to the ER, because they usually are a joke! Thanks for the information! Guest guest
What kind of Nystatin ?? Cream ?? Tablets ?? Liquid Oral Solution ?? Powder ?? There isn't rule for that. Guest guest
: Did that work for you? Can you tell me exactly where you got the Nystatin? I've tried it before, but I was cheating too much on the diet. Now, I'm taking lots of supplements that are supposed to fill the fungus. I'm mostly tired of the chronic fatigue & insomnia & brain fog (I have a low thyroid & adrenals that don't help either) From: Ottaviano <mardigan33@...> Subject: Re:Nystatin candidiasis Date: Wednesday, December 29, 2010, 6:56 AM  I am using capsules of Nystatin from a compounding pharmacy(They only contain Nystatin-no fillers) 4x a day and a restrictive diet along with probiotics.
