Hello Connie -

Good to hear from you again. I'm taking 2 25 mg Topomax and feel I'm

experiencing the

constipation problems that Nick is, but so far, I haven't experienced the

taste problems,

but I do take them just before bedtime, and I can't (well shouldn't) drink

sugared drinks

because I'm diabetic, but even after Topomax, diet Coke doesn't taste too

bad.

> PS.... Joe and Nick... the comments you two make have me in tears

sometimes laughing so hard, thanks for keeping our spirits up (at least

mine).

Don't encourage us, Connie, we'll be tasting you next. :)

Hi Connie,

I don't think I've read any of your posts since I joined the group

in March, but.... I've been around long enough to ask you this

question: Are you sure you want to encourage these two? ;^) They

can be very, and I mean very naughty at times! I can see a

spontaneous road taking shape at this very moment. And need I argue

the case any further than Joe's last post.

THanks for the laugh!

!

least mine). For everyone, thanks for the info/help with the

questions I had for my friend a while ago, he is just a friend as it

turns out, he's too into his computer to want a relationship and

*gasp* told me when we were talking about it one day that having a

healthy sexual relationship with a partner is not that important to

him. That's fine if that's what he wants, what I want to know is

where can a girl find a decent guy who will understand that she has

back problems but is not dead and wants a healthy sex life and more

kids????? LOL *Face beet red from being imbarrassed right now* LOL

*Sigh* Oh well what can we do, can't find a fix to our back problems

how can I even think there may be an answer to any other questions

on life, right? Just have to laugh at it all sometimes it sucks so

bad Haha :P

I wonder if you let your husband read this stuff. :)

He may get very jealous.

Joe, Joe, Joe....

I don't know what to say, you have me in a bit of shock with that one LOL I do

think you're WAY Overdue tho!!! LOL

I have been curious and through all the posts over the year+ that I've been

reading, I seem to have missed most everyones ages.. not trying to be nosy, just

curious I guess with how young/old everyone has been when we've been struck down

with disabling back/neck/etc problems. I just turned *Choke* 35 in February...

as I said, my daughter is 9, will be 10 in May.. I was never married, dated her

dad for 12 years then 7years ago decided I didn't want to live with an alcoholic

anymore, I couldn't take it. That's my life story LOL Born and still living in

sburg (Toledo), Ohio, wishing I could move anywhere warm, the cold here

kills my back.

Anyhow....As for the Neurontin... I never had the negative side effects of

weight gain, etc, I'm wondering if I should have just stuck with that pain

med.... or if I will be ok with this one if I take it at bedtime as I was told,

I'll have to see how my taste buds are acting in the mornings. It's weird, it's

almost like my tongue where I put the pills is numb when I take a drink, that

feeling in a way, then again not a numb feeling, just a different taste...it's

hard to explain, hopefully someone understands how I mean tho.

Oh quick background fyi ( and others) who may not remember me... 2

unsuccessful L5-S1 Surgeries, currently on duragesic patch, percocet and now

topamax instead of neurontin ... Pain started Feb of 2000, put off work May 15,

2000, first surgery March 2001, second surgery October 2001 (same disk

re-ruptured 2 weeks after first surgery) .... in the Very shortest way I can put

it all.... LOL :) Did go thru the meds, then physical therapy, then injections,

etc etc etc

I wasn't chewing on the Topamax.. the taste question is because I just started

on Topamax and after I took them, Pepsi and foods, any foods as I'm noticing

more and more, are not tasting like they used to, so I was wondering if anyone

else had this side effect :) Thanks!

Oh no please don't tell me I said 34... I turned the dreaded 35 in February :(

If I said 34 I apologize, I can't blame that on my memory, that's just wishful

thinking on my part LOL My curious mind has to know tho... I've heard about

this photo section a few times, where is it at? I thought it was just a joke at

first LOL

Hi Connie,

Actually on your profile it said 34. When you go to the main groups

site click on photos.

Or try:

Ok got my part fixed, forgot how my name was in there so I'm glad I had the link

from you Nick! LOL Now the question(s) of the day... why are you and Joe

hiding, or should I ask what are your hidden identities?? LOL jk I know that's

private info, just teasin ya's :) And no, in case anyone is wondering, I do not

have Emerald eyes... I have Hazel... but HazelEyz just doesn't have the same

effect LOL :)

Have a great night all, I need to lay down for a bit, back is killing me and

can't even enjoy dinner :( Wonder if we could do that meeting you all were

talking about not too long ago and just see about a meeting room with beds

instead of chairs so we could really be comfy? Well, at least it was hopefully a

funny thought, all those professionals in their suits and sitting in stiff

chairs and us in sweats layin on beds in our meeting room " Can the next person

please roll their bed up to the board and pinpoint where their pain is without

pointing yet again to their surgeon and using the hotels knives? " LOL The best

thing about a trip like that besides meeting people who know how each of us

feels and sharing useful info is the use of a pool/whirlpool for a couple days,

that would be heaven enough for me... outdoor pool in the 80 degree weather

would be a plus! :) I have got to lay down now or else lol ttyl
