My surgery with Dr. Quattlebaum took about 2 hours and 15 minutes. I think

the doctors that are just starting out go a little slower. Even though mine

took longer...I'm doing just fine.

Gosh ,

That is sad my thoughts and prayers are with her and you as her

friend. If they had the MGB wonder what took so long for the

surgery? I saw you had posted earlier that it took 3 - 3 1/2 hours.

Even to a new Dr. not performing very many you won't think it would

take " That " long. I am so glad I had my surgery while Dr. R. could

still do it!!

Folks,

I need some prayers from you wonderful people. One of my friends who had

surgery out in Las Vegas this week is very, very sick. She had a heart attack

while still in the hospital (fortunately). She is in critical condition in a

light coma and they are very concerned about her. Her doctor is in

consultation with Dr. R and they are trying to figure out what is going on.

We're all scared to death. My other friend, who had surgery too, is doing

Trish,

Her family is under the impression that she had a heart attack. At least that

is what they have told the rest of us. I'm glad to hear she didn't. They said

you've been an angel and taking wonderful care of them, as has the doctor and

the whole group at the hospital.

We love her dearly. Let us know if there is anything we can do.

My prayers are with Evin, and I hope she will be ok. I keep thinking

about her since I read this yesterday. Please keep up posted how she is

doing. I am glad your other friend is doing fine. God be with both of

them. Let us know.

I am so sorry to hear that. Of course I will pray for her. It is

fortunate that she was in the hospital when it happened, where she could

get immediate care. I am also so glad to hear that Dr. R has been

consulted.

I was tested for Lupus Friday cause of broken blood vessels in my cheeks.

I've had some of them for years and a dermatologist said it was from sun and allergies. Anyway please pray I don't have Lupus or any other horrible disease.. Graves is enough. I'm thankful if God forbid I have to have something it's it.. Kim

Please pray for my Grandmother that I told ya'll about before. She has small cell lung cancer. She is doing Insulin Potentiated Therapy which is low dose chemo and more effective than regular chemo. It has caused huge blisters on her bottom lip and she can hardly drink or eat..please pray that the blisters go away and that the chemo is killing the cancer.. I'm afraid she is giving up hope as the pain is so bad in her mouth..thank you Kim

Treat the blisters in your grandmother's mouth with Kaopectate and Liquid

Benadryl mixed in a 50/50 solution. You can swish and spit the mixture or

paint the sore with it. To paint the sores use a Qtip dipped in the

solution. It is very effective and works quickly. Apply the solution about

one half hour before eating so that it works before you ingest food. I am

a cancer patient and will pray for your grandmother. Lots of healing

happens because of the positive attitude the patient has. You must have

faith in God and believe in " his will be done " . Eight years ago I was told

that I had six months to live and I am still kicking. Hope this helps.

Write to me if you have problems, I'll try to help. Can you get your

grandmother interested in the computer? Sometimes it helps to be busy.

By the way, both the Kaopectate and liquis Benadryl can be purchased over

the counter.
