My wife had stomach cancer and had her stomach removed a year ago.

Recently she has had trouble with gas and not having normal bowel movements.

She went into the hospital where they put her on IVs for two days and things

started to get back to normal, but she is back to having pain and gas.

Does anyone know about this? Anyone had a similar situation? Anyone know

where to look for information on this sort of problem.

Thanks

Hello Zip,

Welcome to the group!

I hope your wife is better now.

Did you ever think about what could possibly cause her problems?

Does she has amalgam in her teeth ?

What is she eating ?

Does she consume sugar, margarine, refined oil, aspartame, MSG, meat,

fried or smoked foods ?

Did she try to eat Umeboshi ?

Hi,

I've been reading the archives for this group and decided to join. I

have some questions about information I've come across here and about

bowel/parasite cleanse in general.

I decided to try an herbal cleanse (walnut/wormwood/cloves) after I

found out that I had round worm (ascaris) and was prescribed

mebendazol. Which I took. But I came across the herbal cleanse, and

once I was done with the mebendazol, I thought I'd try the herbs too.

I'm on day 16 and even though I'm not sure if the mebendazol took care

of the roundworm, it's obvious that I've got other parasites (worms and

flukes in addition to endolimax nana and blastocystis homini (sp?) that

the lab said I had, but the doctor said doesn't need treatment!). So

I'm really glad I'm doing the cleanse and want to make sure I'm rid of

everything.

Which brings me to my questions:

In a previous entry someone posted information about non-colloidal

copper water. The information (which I eventually found to be from the

on-line seller of these waters, http://www.wateroz.com/index.htm) says

that non-colloidal copper water kills all parasites. No one followed up

on this. Is there more information?

Also, I read somewhere (can't remember where) that an extra strength

walnut hull enema can help kill parasites in the colon. But there was

no recommendation for how much tincture to use?

I have been using Rainbow Light brand black walnut tincure, does anyone

know if it is indeed potent? Are there any recommendations for good

brands?

I've been consisering using ozonated olive oil and l-cystine (after

CoQ10) to make sure that the roundworm is gone. But I prefer to buy

things in a store as opposed to on-line. I live in the bay area. I've

looked at some health food stores but haven't found it. Does anyone

know of a local source?

Thanks for any help. I'm still in shock over the parasites. And glad I

found this list.

Hi, I'm in England, and would like to introduce myself.

I'm 40, and had always considered myself fairly fit, but over the years was

building up in my body the effects of stress, hard living, drinking, eating

rubbish processed foods, and my exercise and relaxation time was shrinking

from year to year. I went through about 10 years working for a corporation

and feeling pretty unhappy about myself, my life, my acquaintances - in

fact, nothing was right.

Then a couple of years back, I had an illness which nearly saw me off - my

weight dropped by 35 lbs (from a fit 170 lbs to begin with) and my

digestive system had virtually packed up.

I recovered through the help of an enlightened physician and my own will

power and it's been a long road back to a semblance of health. In many

ways I feel better now than in those stressed-out years, and have put

together a daily 'plan' of diet, supplements, exercise, therapy and

self-help methods which I will share with anyone who is interested.

The fact is I enjoy my life greatly now, although I'm not totally free of

physical problems. But my latest health check says that I'm free of any

nasty illnesses and can look forward to a ripe old age.

I look forward to hearing about others' experiences in this group, and wish

to learn more about good health regimes adopted by others.

Love to all,

Nowadays, in fact for the past few years, I have followed a daily regime

thus:

I eat three meals a day, always at the same time (7 am, 12;30 and 6pm) and

follow what is known here in England as the Hay Diet. It may have other

names, but basically entails eating one carbohydrate meal, one protein meal

and one fruit meal, all with plenty of fresh salad / vegetables. I don't

know why this works, and physicians think it's nonsense, but I recommend

it. I eat no meat, just the occasional fish, but mainly a vegetarian diet.

Before each meal I have a small pot of live yoghourt with a tablespoon of

wheatgerm mixed in. this is great for the digestion. I don't smoke and

have given up alcohol almost completely. I drink about 2 litres of mineral

water a day.

I take the following supplements daily: Milk Thistle, Gingko Biloba,

Garlic, 3000 mg Vitamin C, CoEnzyme Q10, Fish Oils.

I exercise a little, mainly walking and stretching.

I meditate daily for 20 minutes in the morning and evening. This I found

difficult when I was ill but persevered with it even when I thought that

perhaps 'I wasn't doing it right'. I also practice the Sedona method for

spontaneous release of suppressed feelings. This I would recommend to

anyone as a real way of gaining a positive 'can do' attitude, which is

all-important. Let me know if you want more details of this.

I have eliminated some stressful areas of my life, and now run my own

business. I spend more time with my family, and most days feel great. I

always try to get to bed before 11 pm and generally sleep about 6 hours

which is enough.

And lastly, I find time for all the things I really enjoy in life, and

savour those moments.

Love to all,

Anyone wanting information on the Sedona method could try mailing

release@.... There is a course of audio tapes which takes about a

week or so to complete, and starts working (well it did for me) after the

second tape.

Basically the method incorporates the following:

- It gets you to understand your feelings and emotions (e.g. fear, grief,

anger) as they arise.

- Instead of suppressing the feelings (which has repurcussions on all areas

of health), or expressing them which can be almost as bad, you release them

in a very simple and powerful way. I found this actually had an almost

immediately beneficial effect on my digestive system.

- After a while, you get to release feelings spontaneously throughout the

day. It worked for me in clearing out layers of old resentment and guilt,

and then I felt able to focus more of my energy on the things that matter

to me - health, relationships, etc.

Hope this is of help.

Love to all,

.

I know most people have a huge problem with this, but

if you will keep an open m,ind, and give it a try, you

just might be surprised.

Garlic is supposedly a toxic poison. It does have some

good qualities...antibiotic/antiviral, etc, but most

people don't know that it is supposed to be a deadly

poison. Like rattlesnake venom, you can eat it with no

readily apparent reaction, but if you get just a little

directly in the blood stream, it is deadly. Seriously.

Some natives dip their arrows or needles in garlic.

When you eat garlic, according to Dr Beck, it

desynchronizes your brain waves. This is supposedly

easily demonstrated on an EEG machine, or on a good

bio-feedback machine.

Try going for 3 weeks without any, and then take some

and see what happens. You just might be surprised.

I have heard of the Sedona technique. I almost went to

one of their weekend seminars, and I would be most

interested in hearing moe about this from someone who

took it and is not selling anything. Thanks.

Thank you for the welcome!

I'll be happy to tell you where I've come from and where I am now.

Five years ago, I was so wasted from fibromyalgia and arthritis' overall

pain and inadequate sleep that I could no longer hold a thought in my

head.

I remember reading the same page over and over, just trying to get it to

'stick'.

I'll just list the rest that I can remember:

Arthritis, especially hands and hips

TMJ

Hypothyroid condition

Weak wrist

Frozen Shoulder

Insomnia--neck pain so bad I couldn't lay my head down on the pillow

Poor bladder control

Chronic nasal back drip

PMS

Heavy, painful menses

Chronic Fatigue

Three cancerous breast lumpectomies and two courses of radiation

Throat would close off--had to constantly sip water

Bruise really easily

Uterine fibroids

Positive PAP smears

Several pre-cancerous uterine episodes ----and had the affected cells

frozen off

twice

Massive gas and digestive problems

Itchy skin

Allergies to pollen, animal dander, pollution, fumes, feathers, dust,

many

foods

Chronic colon problems--6 months of diarrhea; two colonoscopies

Constipation

ALL THESE SYMPTOMS DEVELOPED ON A LACTO-VEGETARIAN DIET!

THAT CLEARLY

WASN'T ENOUGH FOR ME.

Constipation coats the intestines so nutrients are poorly absorbed and

holds

ingested foods so long that they turn to poison which is reabsorbed into

the

bloodstream. I believe that caused the rest of my problems. Dr. Paavo

Airola ['There is a Cure for Arthritis'] found a very strong link between

constipation and arthritis. I imagine the same applies to fibromyalgia,

candida--maybe all the 'chronics'. How about you?? I'm curious

about the link between constipation and other diseases. I'd appreciate

hearing.

With a letter from my doctor, I applied for Disability.

Then I met a guy who was fascinated by my predicament because he had had

a

life-diminishing body situation, also---and pulled himself out of it by

his

dietary choices. He read books to me about individuals who had guided

his

choices. He said he thought I could gain paradise health by gradually

shifting to just raw fruits and starchless vegetables, and that he would

do

the diet with me.

At the same time as was going-- " Raw! Raw! Raw! " , an Ayurvedic

practitioner was soothingly reading my pulses, and telling me that my

constitution wasn't hardy enough to eat raw foods--that I needed cooked

food, warmth and sweetness in my life! Which would YOU have been drawn

to?

, of course! He'd actually HEALed on what he was

offering---NObody

else was offering anything but temporary relief.

So I added raw fruits and vegetables to what I was already eating---and

had

a massive gas attack! But I held to it, drinking up to a gallon of

peppermint tea with maple syrup a day, which did help alot. Then, about

two and a

half months after starting, my elimination kicked in, the gas passed,

[chortle] and my body had made the switch. What I did was to gradually

add

more organic, non-starchy vegetables, green, leafy salads and fruits to

my

diet, and ONE BY ONE, eliminate hard-to-digest and clogging-up type

foods

to which I was accustomed such as all salt, grains, dairy products, meat,

fish, tofu. All these foods clog up your system, back up into your

circulation and create problems with all the systems of your body. This

switch was completed over several months. For the past four and a half

years, I

have eaten organic fruits and vegetables and NOTHING ELSE. It was 80% raw

the

first few years; for the past three months and going strong, it's been

all raw.

Wouldn't recommend doing it faster than feels right! I'd tried all raw

out briefly now

and then, earlier, but for me, it took until now to feel great,

physically, with all raw.

I'm weighing in a little light these days, but when my body is cleared of

everything it

wants to unload, I am confident that I will be at whatever is my optimum

weight.

I know that it sounds very radical to have no concentrated protein or

starch

in my diet, but these foods are difficult to digest, are constipating,

and

will bring your health down if you don't have a strong enough digestive

fire

to break them down. When your health is compromised, you need to get

back

to the basics concerning food choices: fresh fruits and starchless

vegetables.

THESE HAVE THE MOST AVAILABLE, MOST EASILY ASSIMILATABLE

PROTEIN ON EARTH! [They also provide the richest nutrition in all other

areas as well. So you don't need as much as is usually recommended.]

I've

come to accept from many knowledgeable sources that cooking proteins and

starches renders them nearly impossible to digest--that they sit

fermenting

and rotting because they can't be moved out quickly enough.

Recently, I added flax seed oil to my daily salad for the essential fatty

acids. I added flax seed, soaked overnight, to further improve

elimination.

..

I FEEL THAT ALL FORMS OF CONSTIPATION INCLUDING DIARRHEA ARE

THE BASIS OF DISEASE.

I might mention that over the years, I had been advised by an herbalist

to use

several teas; by an acupuncturist, several tinctures, homeopathic

remedies

and ointments; by a Chinese Medicine practitioner, chicken, Chinese

medicines and teas; by M.D.s, an armload of vitamin and mineral

supplements.

..Seeing no dent in my ill health, I dumped all forms of supplements when

I

began to include fruits and vegetables and to eliminate cooked starches

and

the last vestiges of animal proteins from my diet.

My health has made quantum leaps for the better! I'm climbing mountains;

can do hefty physical work; dance vigorously several times a week. My

concentration is much improved, though 'mind fog' perhaps will be the

last

vestige of fibromyalgia to go.

A daily salad rich in dark greens such as dinosaur (or 'black') kale,

sprouts, spinach, arugula, boy choy--with freshly made avocado/lemon

juice/scallion/garlic dressing is what I added to my diet which made the

most difference of all. I also juice vegetables, orange juice and wheat

grass

daily. Twice or three times a day, I use reverse-osmosis water that I

purify further

in the sun to make a quart of lemonade made with juice of one

organic lemon and 1 T. organic raw honey.

I bone-deep believed that these changes would pull me through! Surely my

mindset is powerfully working for me. It certainly kept me going through

days when I needed the boost of a home colonic or during an arthritic

flare

up. Reports from others on this path offer reassurance that flare ups

are a

sign of healing. Healing looks like the disease, only for a briefer

period

of time. If you are eating harmful things or are burdening yourself with

stress, it may be disease. If nothing harmful is going in, most likely,

it is a flare up that will quickly pass.

As far as I'm concerned, THIS IS THE CURE FOR FIBROMYALGIA! I have

nothing to sell or gain. I'm sharing this because I want to offer what

has already

been a miracle in my life. I'd be glad to share information

sources--books,

menus, my personal recipes, etc., if this approach appeals to anyone.

This way of life was a joint (pun intended!) effort with my friend,

. Having a

juicing buddy with whom I prepared meals and bought in bulk was

immeasurably

supportive. But what it really comes down to is doing it for your own

life, in awe of

having a body this time around.

We're in this together. Have heart! I believe you too can heal!

Jean

> I FEEL THAT ALL FORMS OF CONSTIPATION INCLUDING DIARRHEA ARE

True enough, as far as it goes, but definitely

lacking...

It is not constipation in andx of itself, it is the

lifestyle that creates the condition of constipation.

Forgive me for being a stickler for details, but

failing to define the source of a problem is the

biggest problem that we have as a species. We are much

too quick to say things like 'Guns kill people', or

this germ makes me sick', when we should be looking at

the sources of the problem - Guns require a finger to

pull the trigger (and a mindset capable of pulling the

trigger while it is pointed at someone), and germs

requirea certain condition of the body to be able to

flourish.

I agree with this completely, with certain

clarifications...

There are exceptions to every rule, and there are

certainly some cases where the wise use of certain

supplements and foods that you might not want to make a

permanent part of your life can dramatically help clear

up a problem you might be having. Superfoods

(spirulina, chlorella, dehydrated green grass juices

and bee pollen/royal jelly are the main ones) are

something that I would strongly recommend to anyone

taking the raw path (which I am striving to do),

because of the fact that the condition of our soils are

so deteriated that raw fruits and vegetables contain

far less of the nutrients that they did just 100 years

ago. A good enzyme supplement would go a long way to

speeding up the process of detoxification, as will the

use of certain digestive tract cleansing systems like

Dr Schulzes and/or Arise and Shines.

There is also a diet that can dramatically enhance

weight loss - and when combined with some superfoods

and a lot of enzyme supplementation can be very healthy

- and that is Dr Atkins low carb diet. It is very

heart/artery healthy (contrary to popular belief), and

though it is high in animal protein, as a temporary

weight loss diet, it is almost effortless once you have

gotten past the carb withdrawals (2-3 days). His main

peeves are the simple carbs (processed sugar/sugar

products and processed flour/flour products) which

accounts for just about everything on the average

supermarket shelf.

Sounds like you are definitely onthe right path - good

for you!

I have a very hard time believing this. I can't do this for even a week

without getting very weak and feeling that I'm starving! Unquestionably if

you can you will start eliminating a lot of filth (which I did on at the end

of a 10 day raw vegan period last summer).

If anyone else on the list has been successful eating only raw veggies and

fruit for months or years without getting very weak I would like to hear

about it :)

I didn't get weak or sick ... but my hair started falling out in

clumps! This was after six months on a carefully monitored,

all-raw vegan diet. I had to add some cooked food and animal

protein in order to feel better and stop the shedding. Now I

have shorter hairs throughout my scalp where the hair started

regrowing, so the loss wasn't permanent.

OTOH, my skin was gorgeous, I loss a ton o'weight and felt

energetic. Which I still do, by the way.

Very funny, y. Now beam down my clothes.

Constipation is still a problem. Now, tho, since I have had nothing

Haven't figured out how to improve on this situation, yet.---Remarkable

up, and enjoy!

VI. 2:00 PM

VII. 5:00 PM

The Daily Salad

Avocado Salad Dressing

Juice 1/2 lemon with a spoon

Mince a clove of garlic and a scallion and set aside to soak

in

lemon juice.

Prepare dried dulse:

Remove seashells

Soak 5 min.; drain; soak in new water 5 min. again [to

remove all salt]

Squeeze away water and mince.

Stir into lemon juice.

Mash 1 whole avocado into the above.

Add 1 T. flaxseed oil

While this is marinating, prepare other salad ingredients:

Finely grated carrot, dinosaur kale, romaine or green leaf

lettuce. bok choy, arugula, spinach, sprouts, celery, tomatoes, soaked

sundried

tomatoes, red bell pepper [green is unripe and hard to digest], and

cucumber.

Since constipation is such a widespread health issue,

Soaked Flaxseeds,

eaten whole, with juice of 1 lemon and 1 T. honey may be eaten daily with

benefit.

Just be careful to drink it at least two hours after eating anything else

and wait at

least one hour after drinking it, before eating anything, or there may be

compromised digestion, with a gassy reaction.

An alternative recipe [Perhaps the Omega 3 oils are more available?]:

Flax Shake

6 T. flaxseed, soaked 5+ hrs. in pint water

1 lemon and 1 T. honey [or juice of 2 oranges]

Blend.

Some Mucusless Cooked Foods can be eaten later in the day from the raw

foods during the perhaps lengthy transition to all raw. [Ours was 4

years.] They should not add any residue, and should the cleansing

process get unpleasant sometimes, one can use them to slow it down to a

more comfortable level.

Recipes:

Jahmbort [Vegetable Goulash]

[Even though the more quickly digested salad is eaten first, I used to

cut

up food for cooking--setting aside short-time cookers--while I was

preparing

salad so the onions and shitakis can be simmering while I work. I added

the

rest of the vegetables 10-15 min. before I wanted to eat them.]

Some mucusless vegetable possibilities:

Garlic, onions, green beans, cauliflower, broccoli, eggplant. shitaki

mushrooms, zucchini, tomatoes.

We varied the flavoring with lemon juice, fennel, basil, oregano, and/or

Glen

Muir tomato paste [or any other organic paste made only of tomatoes]

Steamed Artichoke or

Baked Potato [if using them. They are minimally mucus forming.

Potatoes can also be in the Jahmbort.]

Each of these is delicious dressed with lemon juice or the above avocado

salad dressing.

Now that I'm no longer sick and at home, thanks to my lifestyle changes,

I carry the mid-day food around in my car with me, in a cooler!

Please tell me more about yourself!

Love and Blessings Jean

HI

My name is Annette

I have been suffering with bowel problems for at least 20 yr.. now. My

doctor has categorized me with lazy bowel, and suggests more fiber and

water. Nothing I have done to date has seemed to help. I learned about

bowel cleansing from reading info on the net. It seems very interesting and

makes a lot of sense, but there seems to be so may products on the market to

do this, how do you choose what is right for you. I am so tired of feeling

sick and tired. A year or so ago a friend suggested Herbal fiber blend and

Barley green, which I took faithfully for about two months, but I ended up

in worse shape. I don't know if it just wasn't long enough or what. Does

anyone have any suggestions on products or methods, or readings. I'm more

confused on what direction to take than ever! Any suggestions would be

greatly appreciated.
