I know some egroup lists don't like attachments in their lists - but perhaps

they have some way of blocking attachments? But I posted my picture fine

here :)

Lee, overweight problem does not apply to everyone. I was struggling to keep

my normal weight. My husband says I should do something about my weight

because I look like from a concentration camp - due to candida!

Regards

Radka

Re: overweight

So that's me at 263 pounds, Gloria between 230 and 250 and Debbie does

not give a weight but says 120 pounds overweight.

Whoops have I forgotten anyone?

So, what about this for a theory: *everyone* who is obese is suffering

from candida. Why not? We have said here that candida causes the

pancreas to malfuntion, causing overweight, and adrenal failure, causing

underweight. We have heard evidence that candida interferes with the

feeling satisfied mechanism, and also that it craves sugar and so makes

us feel hungry a lot more than we should.

Anyone got anything to add?

Bonnie, I to am overweight. I lost 35 pounds while dieting for candida.

When I eat something that is not for candida, I am sick. I would have never

thought I would ever weigh this amount. I did not weigh this much when I

was 9 months Pregnant!! I really get flustered about it, but if I had not

had the candida I would never lost a pound. I just kept looking at the

amount I had to loose, instead of 1 pound at the time. I have got to decide

do I want to eat that junk and feel miserable or feel so much better. The

choice should be a easy one. There is not really a choice. Better get

better. Hope you continue with your weight loss. Maybe we can encourage

each other. Have a great day!

overweight

I would also be interested in others who are overweight. I'm now 225. I

lost 25lbs. this

month after being on a strict diet and mediation.

Hi ,

Most of the inches I'm losing seem to be in my stomach area, and that is where I

have to

lose it the most. I go back to my doctor Aug. 17th for more blood work. Then,

I'll know

how much of the yeast is gone. I've been very true to my diet. Sometimes, I

have to cut

back on a few supplements, because I have to take so many. I still don't have

my energy

back, but I know that I need to rest a bit to allow my body to heal. I'm taking

medication

too, so that should help.

Keep working at it one day at a time. I'm so glad that we have such a great

support group

on-line. I look forward every day to hear how people are doing.

Good afternoon everyone!

Bonnie, I'm curious to know how you are losing inches in your stomach area.

I am losing pounds and inches everywhere except my stomach. It appears my

stomach is getting bigger, but I measured my waist line this morning and it

is the same as it was several weeks ago - 40 " .

Another problem I am having is the yeast! O my goodness, it is so

unbearable at times. I know it has everything to do with my diet. But

also, I am having a problem getting out of the bed in the morning, which

means I am late for work almost every day. I even went as far as changing

my work hours from 8:00 then to 8:30, now 9:00, and still I have problems

getting out of the bed and getting to work on time. I mean, this morning I

got here at 11am. 11am!!!! I am ashamed, and I don't know what the real

problem is.

Can anyone relate? Can anyone help me on this one? Is there help for me? I

wonder....

Thanks for letting me share!

I am so angry with our NHS system... it makes me mad to hear that you were

undiagnosed/undetected for 17 years. Have you thought of suing them.

I feel like sueing the NHS and a few doctors on Harley Street.

The only way to sue is to pay privately for a solicitor. This would cost

me several thousands of pounds to do. I am on unemployment. There is no

public assistance to sue people privately.

Even if I had a few thousand to spare, and I won, the amount I would be

awarded is negligible, because my financial loss has not been that

great. Just a few eeks ago I was sacked from a job paying only £6,000

and am about to start a job paying £8,500. So even if I could PROVE that

the misdiagnosis cost me my job, and that would not be easy, all I would

get awarded is the loss of earnings from May to August, minus the

unemployment benefit.

Compensation can be given for hurt feelings and inconvenience, but it

would never cover the cost of suing.

It's a rich man's world.

I am still waiting for my Doctor's response to my compliant.

Sherrie,

I can totally relate to all of your symptoms. But, I believe that is because

I am not currently following the anti-candida diet plan. Are you?

Being overweight, specifically morbidly obese affects EVERY body system. You can still be relatively healthy with a few extra pounds on you, but if you are extremely overweight every part of your body is struggling. That is just a fact. I know people are sensitive to weight issues, but being overweight is hard on your body especially your joints, heart and lungs. The best thing to do is START MOVING. Walk today. And tomorrow walk farther than you did today. " N." <maria_na@...> wrote: I am curious on how

Just my two cents... As someone who could do with losing a hundred

pounds, more or less, I feel I've had a fantastic and quick recovery

from my hip resurfacing surgery. At nearly five months from surgery, I

can wear heels again, walk without a limp, bellydance, and put on

socks.. plus I had some knee and back/pelvis issues that have improved

greatly; partially from the hip surgery, and partially from Hyalgan

knee-shots.

Some folks don't lose the limp for a whole year after surgery, so I

feel I've done very well, considering I'm 5 " 5' and weigh 270, down from

280. I dislike the use of the word " morbid " mostly because I feel

pretty far from dead or dying. Yeah, too fat for sure, but I have a

waist, and a lot of power, and am psyched to have got that wretched hip

fixed after five+ years of being a cripple.

At two days after surgery, I was doing physical therapy twice a day at

the rehab center in Belgium, (where I had surgery) both on land and in

water, and by day nine I was sightseeing in Gent, crutching around on

cobblestones. and about a month after surgery I lost the cane, I'm

sure if I were lighter, it would be easier, but only now, after the

pain is gone, do I feel like I can do some serious work on weightloss

and dedicated exercise.

I can feel though, that maybe especially for knees, less is definately

better, and am working towards giving them a lighter load. Need to

stave off the early arthritis that started in my knees. Many US doctors

get funky about the weight issue, but in my case, it just meant

stronger bones from bearing the extra weight!

So for me and my bodacious broad booty, I did pretty well carrying

extra poundage during my recovery. I will alert you all when I lose

the goods though! Seems like I can be done with being fat, like I'm

done being a cripple!

My surgeon said that for every 1kg (or 1lb for that matter) that you carry

means a 5kg (5lb) pressure added to the hip joint.. I'm 92kg and he

encouraged me to use a stick to help reduce the impact of that weight. The

less excess weight you have the better chance you give it.

,

I am easily 100 pounds overweight and was 43 (11 months ago) when I had my TKR. I still have some issues with completely straightening my knee but I have no pain and I can walk well. I don't attempt to run, but rarely did before and don't want to do anything to this implant. I don't think I had a particularly difficult or long recovery. I did about two months total of PT and did well and continued exercising at a gym afterwards. I confess that I've actually gained some weight recently (think that's hormones, nothing to do with the TKR) but I still find myself getting around well and not hurting at all. I feel my TKR was successful enough that if need be I would have the other knee done without hesitation.

What I just do not understand is why the docs here (in the US) make us

wait so long and get so crippled before they do anything to help! Most of us

have gained enough weight for the weight issue to be brought up and the docs just

stand there and say we need to lose some weight. I’m about 40 pounds

overweight and I’m fighting tooth and nail to lose weight. The docs still

won’t do anything about the knees in pain and the hip that has reached

pretty bad pain levels. Its very frustrating!
