Ellie,

I will definately pray for Brad. Heart surgery is the most scary. Logan

had a coil put in his heart when he was 3,,,and it scared me to death.

And it isn't even that big of an ordeal.

Hope all is well wtih Riley,,so happy to hear the flare seems to have

passed.How was the splint?

Hi Friends...tomorrow (Tuesday) I have pelvic ultra sounds (external &

internal), then my mammogram. I'm not really afraid as I have a

wonderful Gyn who takes good care of me. It's just that my emotions

area a bit fragile right now, and the ultra sounds usually push some

buttons and old fears come up. If you would toss a prayer Heavenward for

me, I'd be so grateful.

Love to All...

" Prayer is the cheapest first-rate medicine I know " -- Elmer Gantry

Patients who are depressed or bitter tend to die. I see this all the

time. Patients who are upbeat tend to survive. I see this also all the

time. Prayer or comedy are great tools to bring one out of the doldrums

and bring relaxation during a time of high stress and perhaps pain. Your

choice of tools here depends on your indoctrination (or lack of) and your

personality type.

What do you do if you are an atheist and you aren't the sort of person who

can readily laugh? (These aren't mutually exclusive.) The answer is that

you may still be home free if you are naturally intelligent, confident, and

a take-charge sort of person. These people tend to be winners also.

For those who are uncomfortable with prayer I see similar benefits from

well-chosen daily affirmations. " I am taking charge and I am winning! " or

the time-honored, " Every day in every way I'm getting better and

better. " This may sound hokey and hackneyed, but whatever works, works.

So much of the language of prayer that I encounter seems to be in 16th

century English. I guess it draws on King . As babies we tend to

learn Anglo-Saxon English first (permeating our unconscious) and then only

after age five we pick up the words of Latin and Greek origin. Perhaps I

should rewrite the affirmations in pseudo Olde English and get some of the

benefits of prayer. For example, " I hath taken charge and I sayeth that I

am winning! " Zounds!

I haven't checked in for awhile, but found a couple of threads very

interesting, especially the messages about prayer.

Some of you may know me...I am a close friend and main caregiver for

Mel who was diagnosed with squamous cell cancer of the oral

cavity over 2 yrs ago. Mel is a devout born again Christian and I

was a life long aetheist when we started this journey of healing

together, so I was extremely skeptical about the power of prayer.

Mel has not turned to the medical establishment for radiation,

surgery or chemo but has put his complete faith in the greatest

healer of all time....Jesus Christ.

In the past 2 yrs I have seen positive, almost miraculous results

directly linked to prayer. I have witnessed the tumours in his

mouth almost disappear within hours as the direct result of prayer.

The most recent episode of healing due to prayer occured last Sunday

when the elders of the church annointed him with oil, laid hands on

him and prayed. Mel had been losing a fair amount of blood from the

tumours and he was weak and extremely pale. Very quickly afterwards

his colouring returned to normal and some of his strength returned.

Besides the physical benefits, I have also seen how prayer can

banish all anxiety and how the Holy Spirit brings comfort to us when

needed. Within minutes of starting to pray the Holy Spirit bathes

us in His warmth and gives us that peace that passes all

understanding.

Mel has used many different herbal supplements and many have been

helpful in strengthening his immune system to fight this cancer, but

we both know without a doubt that it is through the grace of Jesus

Christ that Mel is enjoying the quality of life he is instead of

dying 18 months ago as the oncologist predicted. We are looking

forward to rejoicing when he is completely healed.

So any of you wondering if prayer really helps, all I can say is

don't waste your money on products like Miracle 11, Fucoidan and

some other highly touted products that don't do anthing but deplete

your savings accounts....but get down on your knees and let your

needs be known to God and you too will see these positive results.

God Bless you all.....

,

I am unclear about your message here. Are you saying that this sort

of healing is available only to Christians? Only certain Christians? I

have heard of the same sort of healings from mystical sects of Muslims who

also believe that entry to heaven can be guaranteed by slaying followers of

Jesus. I have heard stories of tumors disappearing in minutes due to

hypnosis or due to multiple personalities. I must say though that I have

not been able to document this. Could it simply be that a powerful belief

in healing is enough to trigger what the body wants to do anyway -- heal

itself. All of these methods seem to involve emotion and dramatically

involve the unconscious mind. No one reports an externally verifiable

miracle of a booming voice from the heavens or levitation, etc.

If an atheist deftly cured his/her cancer using secular techniques,

would you become an atheist again? I don't think that you are a Christian

because of any miracle, but because you always felt more at home with

Christianity.

Hi Vince...I will try to clear up some your confusion. You asked if

Jesus heals only Christians or certain types of Christians and the

answer is No. The bible tells us in Matt. 4:23-25 and Matt. 9:35 -

Matt.10:1 (among other scriptures) that as Jesus travelled around

the countryside, He healed ALL the sick people that sought healing

from him. No where does it say He healed only Christians....but

stresses He healed everyone of all diseases. It also tells us in

the bible that although Christ no longer walks the earth, that

nothing has changed nor has His compassion been diminished and that

we can still receiving healing from all types of diseases through

prayer. I believe He will help anyone, who turns to Him for help.

Like you I have also heard of healings through hypnosis and many

other means, but the subject of this thread was Prayer and I have

testified to the positive results I have witnessed through praying

to Jesus.

You ask .... Could it simply be that a powerful belief

in healing is enough to trigger what the body wants to do anyway --

heal itself. All of these methods seem to involve emotion and

dramatically involve the unconscious mind.

Like you I don't know the answer to this question...but I do know

that belief in Jesus' healing power can and does bring dramatic

results....how He goes about it is a mystery to me...it could very

likely involve the subconscious mind. I don't know anyone who has

the experienced " a booming voice from the heavens " but I do know

many, many people who have had their prayers answered by the still

small voice that the Lord uses.

You go on to ask... " If an atheist deftly cured his/her cancer using

secular techniques, would you become an atheist again? I don't

think that you are a Christian because of any miracle, but because

you always felt more at home with Christianity. " No I will never

become an aethiest again...once you finally understand something how

do you back to ignorance? I am a Christian for a variety of

reasons...seeing the way Christ is helping Mel through this illness

did not bring me to Christianity...it only strengthens my belief and

gives me faith that He will help me when I become ill.

If you are interested in learning more on this subject, I recommend

you read the book " Christ the Healer " by F.F. Bosworth...it is an

excellent read. Or if you would like to continue this discussion,

feel free to contact me offline.

Miraculous Messages from Water

How water reflects our consciousness

by WellnessGoods.com

Water has a very important message for us. Water is telling us to take a much

deeper look at our selves. When we do look at our selves through the mirror of

water, the message becomes amazingly, crystal, clear. We know that human life is

directly connected to the quality of our water, both within and all around us.

The photographs and information in this article reflect the work of Masaru

Emoto, a creative and visionary Japanese researcher Mr. Emoto has published an

important book, " The Message from Water from the findings of his worldwide

research If you have any doubt that your thoughts affect everything in, and

around you, the information and photographs that are presented here, taken from

the book of his published results, will change your mind and alter your beliefs,

profoundly.

From Mr. Emoto's work we are provided with factual evidence, that human

vibrational energy, thoughts, words, ideas and music, affect the molecular

structure of water, the very same water that comprises over seventy percent of a

mature human body and covers the same amount of our planet. Water is the very

source of all life on this planet, the quality and integrity are vitally

important to all forms of life. The body is very much like a sponge and is

composed of trillions of chambers called cells that hold liquid. The quality of

our life is directly connected to the quality of our water.

Water is a very malleable substance. Its physical shape easily adapts to

whatever environment is present. But its physical appearance is not the only

thing that changes, the molecular shape also changes. The energy or vibrations

of the environment will change the molecular shape of water. In this sense water

not only has the ability to visually reflect the environment but it also

molecularly reflects the environment.

Mr. Emoto has been visually documenting these molecular changes in water by

means of his photographic techniques. He freezes droplets of water and then

examines them under a dark field microscope that has photographic capabilities.

His work clearly demonstrates the diversity of the molecular structure of water

and the effect of the environment upon the structure of the water.

Snow has been falling on the earth for more than a few million years. Each

snowflake, as we have been told, has a very unique shape and structure. By

freezing water and taking a photograph of the structure, as Mr. Emoto has done,

you get incredible information about the water.

Mr. Emoto has discovered many fascinating differences in the crystalline

structures of water from many different sources and different conditions around

the planet. Water from pristine mountain streams and springs show the

beautifully formed geometric designs in their crystalline patterns. Polluted and

toxic water from industrial and populated areas and stagnated water from water

pipes and storage dams show definitively distorted and randomly formed

crystalline structures.

Sanbu-ichi Yusui Spring water,

Japan Shimanto River, referred to as the last clean stream in Japan

Antarctic Ice

Fountain in Lourdes, France

Biwako Lake, the largest lake at the center of Japan and the water pool of

the Kinki Region. Pollution is getting worse.

Yodo River, Japan, pours into the Bay of Osaka. The river passes through

most of the major cities in Kasai.

Untreated Distilled Water

Fujiwara Dam, before offering a prayer

Fujiwara Dam, after offering a prayer

With the recent popularity in music therapy, Mr. Emoto decided to see what

effects music has on the structuring of water. He placed distilled water between

two speakers for several hours and then photographed the crystals that formed

after the water was frozen.

Beethoven's Pastorale

Tibet Sutra

Kawachi Folk Dance

After seeing water react to different environmental conditions, pollution and

music, Mr. Emoto and colleagues decided to see how thoughts and words affected

the formation of untreated, distilled, water crystals, using words typed onto

paper by a word processor and taped on glass bottles overnight. The same

procedure was performed using the names of deceased persons. The waters were

then frozen and photographed.

Heavy Metal Music

You Make Me Sick, I Will Kill You

Adolph Hitler

Thank You

Love and Appreciation

Mother

These photographs show the incredible reflections of water, as alive and highly

responsive to every one of our emotions and thoughts. It is quite clear that

water easily takes on the vibrations and energy of it's environment, whether

toxic and polluted or naturally pristine.

Masaru Emotos extraordinary work is an awesome display, and powerful tool, that

can change our perceptions of ourselves and the world we live in, forever. We

now have profound evidence that we can positively heal and transform ourselves

and our planet by the thoughts we choose to think and the ways in which we put

those thoughts into.

More Messages in Water

The Spirit of Ma'at interviews Dr. Masaru Emoto

by Reiko Myamoto Dewey

REIKO: We have read your book The Message from Water, and we introduced it on

our website in our August issue (see " Conscious Water Crystals: The Power of

Prayer Made Visible " ). It has been our most popular article, with its readership

increasing every week, and has raised many questions.

You mentioned in your book how you would type out words on a piece of paper and

paste these written words onto a bottle, and see how the water reacted to the

words -- what kind of crystals were formed from the words. From your research,

are you able to discern whether the reaction of the water came from the

vibration of the actual words that were pasted onto the bottles, or whether the

intention of the person who was pasting the words onto the bottle influenced the

experiment in any way?

DR. EMOTO: This is one of the more difficult areas to clarify. However, from

continuing these experiments we have come to the conclusion that the water is

reacting to the actual words. For example, for our trip to Europe we tried using

the words " thank you " and " you fool " in German. The people on our team who took

the actual photographs of the water crystals did not understand the German for

" you fool " , and yet we were able to obtain exactly the same kind of results in

the different crystal formations based on the words used.

REIKO: Have you found that distance made any difference when people were

praying over water? For example, if people in Japan were to pray over water in

Russia, would this be different from people praying over water that is right in

front of them?

DR. EMOTO: We have only experimented once with that in the book. But from that

experiment, distance did not seem to matter. The intention and prayers of the

person still influenced the water. We have not yet tried further experiments

from a long distance. However, my feeling is that distance would not make much

of a difference. What would make a difference is the purity of intent of the

person doing the praying. The higher the purity of intent, the less of a

difference the distance itself would make.

REIKO: Have you seen any difference between one person praying over water versus

a whole group of people praying over water?

DR. EMOTO: Since the water reflects the composite energy of what is being sent

to it, the crystalline structure reflects the composite vibrations of the group.

So one person praying reflects the energy or intention of that one person. In

terms of how powerful the effect can be, if you have one person praying with a

deep sense of clarity and purity, the crystalline structure will be clear and

pure. And even though you may have a large group of people, if their intention

as a group is not cohesive, you end up with an incohesive structure in the

water. However, if everyone is united together, you will find a clear, beautiful

crystal, like one created by the prayer of a single person of deep purity.

In one of our experiments, we had some water on a table, and 17 participants all

stood in a circle around a table holding hands. Then each of the participants

spoke a beautiful word of their choice to the water. Words like unity, love, and

friendship. We took before-and-after shots and were able to obtain some

beautiful crystalline structures as a result of this. I have some slides that I

will be showing of these crystals in my upcoming European tour.

REIKO: Is the water influenced immediately, or is there a time lag?

I would like to remind all Christians out there that Jews, Muslims,

Taoists, Buddhists, Hinduists, pagans, atheists, agnostics,

pantheists, wiccans, Zoroastrians, Sinto, new agers, Mother Goddess

worshippers, biomechanical fundamentalists, as well as people who

convert from one belief modality to the next to none to more of the

same --

constitute the majority of the population of Earth;

get cancer or don't get cancer depending on a multitude of factors;

get cured or don't get cured depending on a multitude of factors;

have reasons to be who they are and are seldom on the lookout for

someone to convince them that being who they are is wrong;

and some of them feel quite silly when told, over and over again,

that someone is getting a great Jesus deal while they are being left

out in the cold.

The family member with cancer I am taking care of is an agnostic. I

am a nonreligious Taoist. I can't begin telling you how many times

we have been hit on the head with a righteous crucifix to hammer

some Jesus sense into us. This has never helped. The worst part

was, for me, an exchange with a woman whose son had the same

condition, and was being treated with chemotherapy (which failed

several times and was always followed by " newer better "

chemotherapy) and a 24-hour circle of prayer. The family, friends,

and, via the circle, people all over the world were praying to Jesus

for the boy to be healed. It didn't work. Is Jesus to blame in

this case, to the same extent he is to be praised when things turn

out well? To tell you the truth, if Jesus healed every single time,

I would be a Christian many times over by now. Or a biomechanical

fundamentalist if " active ingerdients " in synthetic drugs were what

heals every time. Beliefs are a double-edged sword... one side

heals and the other side slays. Choose them carefully and please

don't forget that other people may have done a comparably thorough

job choosing theirs.

Best wishes of the most therapeutic beliefs to all,

Elena

Your nephew will be in my prayers and all of your family so you can

all adjust as fast as posible. My father and all of my relatives on

his side have diabetes, so I know how difficult it can be to live

with it and how dangerous it can be. Hopefully your nephew and

family will be as strict as posible with his diet and excersice so

he can lead a life as healthy as it is posible.

God bless.

just said a prayer for you and the baby! Take care and rest up.

There are some really nasty viruses out there. I am seeing some of

the same garbage that my sarah got last year. She got sick before

thanksgiving, developed pneumonia by Christmas, and had double

pneumonia by january. I did'nt think she was ever going to get

better. It really depressed me. You are strong and you eat well.

Drink tons of water, get plenty of rest and why don't you try that

soup from the makers diet? it has coconut oil, garlic, onions,

chicken and other goodies. Science says that homemade soup is

really good for you when you are sick! Keep us updated.

love, kathy

> Hey guys, well it has been four weeks I have had this terrible

cold, and its hard to treat when pregnant, as there's not much you

can take, and often can get out of hand, because resistance is low.

Well, it has and after hours and nights of coughing, and coughing, I

went to see my doc today, and it has turned into bronchitis so say a

prayer for me. I'm really feeling lousy and can barely function,

have been this way too long .So, Im asking for your prayers! I need

em!

KAthy, thank you, I will make some of that soup.

How do you know when you have pneumonia? I was told if I let this go, it could have turned into that. I didnā€™t want any x-rays though, so they didnā€™t rule it out exactly. I donā€™t think I have it, and I think if the doc thought I did, he would have really said so. What are the main symptoms? Is getting sick again? oh, kathy, I am so sorry, we will just have to pray for her extra early this time. What are her symptoms? I cannot stop coughing. It drives me crazy. --- Original Message -----

Hi dear -

Since I had a similar bout during my last pregnancy, I can feel your

frustration, discomfort and fear. Please feel free to email me and I

will share the many things I found helped me with my bronchitis bouts

(I had a tendency in my 20s and 30s to have them at least twice a

year for sev yrs and then got a few yrs off & re-started). I hope

that something I learned along the way can help you.

I will definitely keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I wish you

lived nearby so I could cook and deliver a batch of chicken soup to

your door.

Keep warm sweetheart!

Regards,

Oh . I feel for you. I had bronchitis when I was pregnant and it was pure hell. I just did a little search and found an article that said that N acetyl cysteine with vitamin C helps break up the phlegm with bronchitis. Of course you would need to ask your doctor first since you are pregnant. They recommended 300 Mg per day. I will be praying for you and the baby. ,

I just got over a week of a bad cold . . . Some of the

things I tried were the sauna, NyQuil, zinc lonzenges,

cold drops, Tylenol, Chicken soup, lots of water,

Vicks ointment and TheraFlu.

I think of all of them, Vicks ointment (chest and

neck), the sauna and Chicken soup helped the most.

NyQuil's pretty good too. I don't know if you could

take that though.

Hugs and prayers,

Rogene

Thanks rogene! No, I cant take Nyquil or thera flu or zinc lozenges, or most cough syrups being in the 1st trimester! Ye God! See my issues? I have to suffer through this. I am doing a lot of all natural teas with honey and baths, but then again, I cant take hot baths either! ARG!

But I will try the Vicks ointment and some of that soup. When ya coming over with it? He He

Oh and I was placed on antibiotics for the bacterial infection and already notice a small improvement. I doubled on my probiotics. Do you think thatā€™s enough? Re: Re: prayer

, I couldn't find the article but here is one that suggests vitamin C and good old Magnesium. http://www.hsibaltimore.com/ea2004/ea_040519shtml It also talks about accupressure relieving lung problems. I thought it was quite interesting. Hope this helps. Rogene,

I am so glad to hear you are over your cold...it sounds like you

licked it pretty good!

Can I ask you what is in that Vicks ointment? I remember that stuff

from when I was a kid (I still remember the smell...). I am pretty

sure it is the menthol that gives it a kick, but what is the other

stuff?? I'm thinking it is petroleum based! Ewww!

If it really is petroleum based, I wonder if one could get the same

results by using essential oils instead, such as eucalyptus?

Just wondering about that petroluem stuff, I guess. I gave up using

Vaseline anywhere on my body quite awhile ago, even though it is

great stuff for soothing chapped skin. What do you think about it

in terms of toxicity for us?

By the way, thank you for hanging in there and being so great about

answering posts!

Hugs,

Patty
