Hi everyone

I have a question regarding after treatment. I finished last Dec, so far

still show cleared of the virus. But I am experiencing what almost feels like

asthma from what I have heard about it or something, hard to breathe,

pressure in

chest. Had a chest x-ray and all ok there. Is asthma something that can occur

as a result of treatment? The only other thing tests showed was an elevated

SED rate. Not sure what that means. Thanks for any feedback anyone may have.

Best wishes to all of you on treatment.

Did you take antinausea drugs? If so, what? That might be the problem.

Hi

In answer to question, I was fortunate in that I expereinced no nausea at all

Yes, certainly!

It's one part each of the following:

Comfrey root (Symphytum officinale)

Mullein (Verbascum thapsus)

Chickweed (Stellaria media)

Marshmallow root (Althaea officinalis)

Lobelia (Lobelia inflata)

If you don't want to use comfrey, you could use Pleurisy root. I buy all of

my herbs from herbalcom.com, as well as my capsules. I got my capsulator

(less than $20) from www.herbsfirst.com.

Also on herbsfirst website you can read about how he has helped people with

asthma....I remember reading one really good story about a man that had

asthma for many years and then came to Dr. C....it may have a short version

on the site...

My husband has difficulty breathing and just taking this capsule....no

problems at all.

Dr. C also has another formula...it's a syrup that I'm sure taste nasty, but

it has comfrey mullien and garlic to help expel mucus. The story about him

helping this man who had a bad case of asthma...well he gave that man a

lobelia extract straight and eventually the man was getting rid of the

mucus.

Also, Dr. C has a good one for heavy mineral buildup.....It's his bugleweed

formula or heavy mineral formula. Anyway it has bugleweed, yellow dock and

lobelia. It helps in combating pollution, both external and internal...it

helps draw out minerals, drugs, and other pollutants trapped in our system.

Hope this helps! The lung and bronchial formula has certainly helped my

husband. He can breathe now....it's wonderful. For people who have it more

severe, may need to have the extract of lobelia with the lung and bronchial

and then wean off of it.

Hi,

Have you tried Buteyko or controlled breathing. Everyone I have spoken with

who had to use medication for asthma and who has tried this has become

medication free. I don't have asthma so this is not a personal testimonial,

but I come in contact with lots of people who were asthmatic and aren't now

because of these breathing techniques. It's worth a try.

All the best,

Meryl

Asthma

I've been working with my classical homeopath for 3 years trying to help my

asthma and I'm not having much success. We keep thinking he's found the

right constitutional remedy, I'll have some innitial sucess but then it goes

down hill. I'm on my fourth constitutional remedy. Each time I go in and

have an in depth history taken. It's been frustrating. I still have to use

my albuterol several times a day but I'm trying to stick with the process

and hope for the best.

,

I've been working with my homeopath for 1 year now and I just

started my 2nd constitutional remedy about 6 weeks ago. I had

nearly " grown out of " my asthma in my mid-20's just prior to my

vaccinations to travel... then it got much worse again along with my

allergies, I developed HBP and throid problems. It was hell.

My homeopath said that I might always have asthma so he flat out

told me not to expect it to disappear. My asthma doesn't sound as

bad as yours though. I tend to only need my albuterol when

exercising but I do also take asthmacort or serevent each day. I

guess at this point I'm content with it because my homeopath has

cleared all of my other problems (HBP, thriod problems, foggy head,

fatigue, allergies, and severe sinusitus).

My point is I can now see a pattern! As a senior in High School I

recall feeling great, few allergy problems, etc. Then I was

vaccinated at 18 to enter college. By 19 I was a mess again

(thought it was poor living conditions in college)... then around 27

I was feeling great again... then vaccinated to travel and I was

back to poor health. See the pattern?!?!?!?!?!

Anyway, I'm 33 now and am hoping that through homeopathy and time

I'll be feeling better than ever " soon " .

I guess I've decided to ignore my homeopaths comment about asthma at

this point and just wait and see. If I feel he's stuck or run out

of ideas I might decide to find another homeopath or try other

things for the asthma as we've heard mentioned on this group &

elsewhere(tintures, breathing techniques, etc.).

Hang in there. I feel for you!

Thanks Heidi,

When I just wrote my homeopath about this newest constitutional remedy not

helping my asthma or allergies at all --plus no positive changes in my energy,

sleeping better, or attitude --he told me to come in again. Says he's learned a

newer way of doing intakes that makes the big picture clearer and is only

charging me $40 for a two hour follow up. I'm glad to hear success stories.

You might also want to give yourself a deadline with this guy (say

another 6 months TOPS). If you are on your 4th or 5th remedy and

seeing no changes you should probably consider taking your business

elsewhere. Homeopathy won't fail you but your homeopath certainly

can!

Keep us updated on your situation!

The link between asthma and fungus may well give one more reason for

an increase in toxins/free radicals in the lungs, which results in

irritation, inflammation, and mucous production.

The symptoms of asthma can result from anything that can produce free

radical irritation, especially in combination with a low antioxidant

pool that is common today given our low antioxidant-containing diets

and continued exposure to antioxidant-depleting environmental and

systemic toxins.

In a somwhat related exercise I cleared an elderly lady's COPD in

just days with nothing more than an antioxidant program. COPD usually

but not aways has an infectious component, and low antioxidant

status, low glutathione particularly, actually stimulates infection

of all types.

> Combined with the fact that the western diet encourages candida

> overgrowth, no wonder asthma is rising in the population.

However, toxin load from any source negatively affects the body's

antioxidant pool, so rather that label fungus as " the " cause, it

probably should be acknowledged as only one possible cause, of

asthma.

Yes, my asthma is allergy driven. Cigarette smoke can make me wheeze real fast!

Mold is a huge trigger, as are airborne pollutants and allergens. I can't

tolerate chemical scents at all in the way of perfumes, but those that use plant

scents and derivatives don't bother me. I was using a cheap rose scented hand

creme but had to stop because it caused so many problems with breaking out and

breathing. When I found one that didn't use synthetic scents and used natural

oils I bought it even though it was expensive, and love it! No reactions!

Beth,

(love your name; our youngest DD is named - we call her

Beth)

What product are you referring to? I can't remember the name of the hand creme

I use, but if you are referring to essential oils that I am using for my asthma,

they are from a company called young living (owners last name is Young).

http://www.youngliving.com is the url of the company. DH has spent much more

time than I have in reading and learning about what they can do; he is self

employed so can take the time to do when he wants or needs to take time off. I

work full time and then some, so it is more difficult for me to do the in depth

reading he is and has done. I just know what they do, LOL.

Hi Sheila,

Hope you will be feeling

better soon.

Asthma

Hi Everybody

As some of you may already know, for

weeks now, I have been suffering with a dreadful persistent cough, much worse

at night and the coughing has strained my intercostals. I picked up a bit of a

cold last week as well and this made matters worse. I became worse over the

weekend and had an emergency appointment with the doc. this morning to be

told that the cough is caused because I am suffering asthma..

I picked up a bit of a cold last week as well and this made matters worse. I became worse over the weekend and had an emergency appointment with the doc. this morning to be told that the cough is caused because I am suffering asthma. I can't believe this. Already got the Ventolin inhalers she prescribed and she recommended Potter's Pastilles for the cough at night.

Just been talking to Lee who reminded me that chemicals can be a trigger, and we have recently painted our bathroom tiles (very strong smelling gloss paint) and I have also started painting pictures again (I paint in oils). I am now wondering whether this was sheer coincidence or whether these chemicals were the trigger.

Just a word of warning to everybody, if you get anywhere near any chemicals, wear a mask to be safe.

My sympathies. I had pneumonia during my last pregnancy and I

wouldn't wish that on anyone. Night times are worst, aren't they?

Do you get any relief if you get into a steamy shower?

If you are coughing, presumably there is phlegm on your chest. I

would wholeheartedly recommend you find a physiotherapist who will

thump the phlegm out of your lungs. It is magical. I have never had

such instant relief from any other treatment.

RosieHi Rosie

Wow I wish I'd known that a couple of years back. I am ashsmatic anyway but a few years back I had a cold and then for a week or so felt like I was drowning in the stuff and had to have some really strong tablets that are prescribed for chronic lung disease, it did do the trick but I'd have used a physio if I'd known it would help. Isn't this place wondrful, you can find all sort of support and information here!

What has been helping is a couple of drops of T Tree Oil dropped into boiling water in a bowl and inhaling this with a towel over my head. One thing I have found is that this is really beneficial to the skin. I thought I had loads of stuff that needed to come up but I simply couldn't get anything up. The doctor told me this is because there is nothing to bring up - though I still can't quite believe it. I felt a bit better last night after having a couple of puffs of Ventolin and sucking my Potter's Pastille's but I want to see an end to all this and get back on with my normal life. If nothing changes during the following week, I will see a physiotherapist and see if s/he can help me.

Thanks for this advice.

Dr. Brownstein has used Iodine in a nebulizer with success. If you search
