Guest guest
Yes, nne, It is very possible. She still had yeast breakouts on her skin, so, I'm sure she still has parasites. I just hadn't decided if I was going to do about it. I have a product called Aqua-Flora that you can get at most health food stores, or I do carry it. http://www.loaves-n-fishes.com/aquaflora.htm Which I have been putting on her rashes. They are going away. I think giving her the combination you suggest is a good idea. Maybe the Wormwood combination from Kroeger. I just hadn't decided if I wanted to go with the Olive Leaf Extract, the kroeger wormwood combination, or the Awareness Clear. I'm going to do something though. :-) Which product where you thinking of specifically? Maybe it is one that I carry, that always makes it easier. :-) ~Karma http://loaves-n-fishes.com http://www.karma.awarenesshealth.com Karma is it possible that your daughter still has some parasites. You might let her try different herbs, for instance the black walnut/cloves/wormwood capsules with the iodine tincture. marianne
Guest guest
Hello Judy, I'm sorry you are going through such an ordeal and don't have any suggestions, unfortunately. Just some thoughts. After many years of chest pain that has never been diagnosed, along with terrible fatigue, this week I had pulmonary function tests and found out I have an abnormally low oxygen saturation level. I don't see the pulmonologist for 3 more weeks and I'll have an echocardiogram before I see her (I'm really glad she is being so thorough) but from what I can gather on the net, low oxygen saturation level can account for A LOT of what I've been going through: exhaustion, inability to think straight, irritability, waking up with terrible headaches. I am VERY hopeful that with oxygen I'll be better able to function but a little apprehensive about what she'll discover as the cause of this condition. I've been wondering how many of us may suffer from this problem and not know it. I mean, I saw scores of doctors, including 2 pulmonologists in the past (though not in recent years) and nobody ever orderd this test for me before. Maybe the technology just wasn't there until recently, I don't know, and maybe (probably) it's not going to solve the whole fatigue problem and I'm not going to become an ice hockey player after all (joke). But I'm hopeful. I'd be interested to know if others on this list have had that diagnosis or been treated with oxygen. Bonnie
Guest guest
Dear list, I feel like my breathing/mouth/etc. problems are never ending. I had sinus surgery three weeks ago, the sinuses are open but the infection doesn't seem to be going away in spite of the antibiotics, I'm on my second one. I also noticed a sticky glue like substance (white, clear) which I thought was coming out of my nose and down my throat making me choke. Now it appears to be like asthma, and I can't tell what is coming out of my nose and what is coming out of my throat, I had to take ventolin for three days running and am going to a pulmonary specialist tomorrow to see whether I should take a cortisone inhalator for the lungs. Four and a half years ago, at age 38, before having anything else (two years ago I came down with CFS) I suddenly came down with asthma, used a cortisone inhalator for six months and it went away, a few months later - one year to the week of the first episode - I had another asthma episode, used the inhalator under doctors instructions for 30 days and it never came back. Now, three and a half years later, it seems to be back and I don't know what triggered it - the sinus surgery, the stuff coming down from my now open sinuses, the antibiotics, an allergy (I'm also itching in various places and the dermatologist claims an allergy - not dry skin) which may be the cause of the never ending sinus infection even after surgery, or what. I don't have any pain in the chest but am coughing all the time and this funny sticky glue-like clear-white phlegm comes up...I remember something similar four years ago, but then, as I said, it went away. Any personal experiences, suggestions etc. would be welcome. Many thanks, Judy
Guest guest
Dave, Not sure which treatment you are on, but I know the Peg they say yes. I have severe allergies and take allergy shots. Sometimes in really dusty, moldy areas I go into an asthmatic attack. My allergist gave me an inhaler on top of it. But I did not go on the Peg. On the Interferon/ribiveron I had all kinds of problems including breathing and stopped treatment after 3 weeks. Guest guest
Hi...I dont have asthma but from what I understand the treatments can cause breathing difficulty. It has something to do with red blood cells. I know that there is probably someone else with more info for you but please take it easy and God Bless. Guest guest
Yeah I take 7 meds for asthma and allergies. I am a level 4 asthmatic. I spent all of last summer on steroids and half of the fall. I was pretty proud that I didn't have any resp. problems until a couple of weeks ago. I think the flu and pneumonia vaccines really helped. Bonnie

Guest guest
Francesca has suffered from asthma since she was a baby, primarily put down her her prematurity and having been ventilated. this resulted in a condition called bronchopulmonary dysplasia, where part of her lung didnt work efficiently because it had become sticky when she was ventilated (simple explanation). Docs were hugely reluctant to diagnose asthma in one so young and described her as a " happy wheezer " meaning that outwardly she looked ok, but her chest was very poor. Later when she was under the ENT docs initially for glue ear and later ctoma, the doc did link the two conditions a bit. He said that it was quite likely that her eustachian tube didnt work as well as it might and it might account for large adenoids. the whole lot together causes some kind of nasal cavity drip, which could account for some of her asthma. They removed her adenoids and said that it was likely that once those and then the ctoma were removed, that the asthma would improve, and I have to say that it did slightly. It is however hard to know how much to attribute to ctoma removal, adenoid removal, combination of both or simply that she was getting older, as there is a school of thought that asthma can be cyclical. You mention sinus problems and I'm wondering if you have some kind of nasal cavity drip or similar irritation that causes a cough? Repeated coughing in turn will inflame the airways and make them swollen or " tight " as in asthma. Asthma drugs, inhalers, will be given for this and work well, as they cause the airways to expand. Steriod inhalers will limit further inflamation to the lung lining. Its not impossible that Francesca's first ctoma was congenital, but this has never been denyed or confirmed either way. The asthma, well as I said they dont like to diagnose younsters with it, but within 6 months of each other we had a confirmed diagnosis of both conditions......so entirely possible the two things are linked. Fingers crossed you stay wheeze free and ctoma free, wouldnt it just be nice to " kill two birds with one stone " ! regards and Francesca

Guest guest
Could be the pollution in Asia, or a matter of statistics, ie, the % of asthmatics is already high in the west, so the growth rate appears less than in Asia where the existing % is lower. Guest guest
This is not off topic because it has something to do with the surgery IMO. I have a predisopsition to asthma and I told the surgeon about it. I may have been given a different kind of anesthesia but I'm not sure. The one thing that it did do for me was to get my insurance to approve an overnight stay in the hospital - something that I definitely needed!
