Nope, two different products although both have the

HSOs in it (as long as you get the Original Formula of

Perfect Food and not the new and improved). I am not

sure of the difference and am considering adding

Primal Defense along with Perfect Food as I have read

that some people have done that.

Beck,

A warm welcome to you. This is a great group of people who care and

understand. No one else can relate like those who have lived this nightmare

of suffering and loss.

More to you later, as I contemplate some of your questions and incredible

comments. What a life you've lead! Wow!

Beck-

I am going to write to you privately, I KNOW I can help you.

I am a 45yr old mom of 6 kids, all chronic with LD and my husband (whom is

now separated from me) almost died from lyme various times.

I was paralyzed from the neck down, had EVERY symptom and suffered HORRIBLY

for over 4yrs.

Today I am in remission, am finishing my degree as a Naturopathic (Natural

medicine) Dr. and specialize in helping people with LD.

I just wanted to let you know, help is here.

Hi Michele and welcome;

The antibiotics will be pretty rough on the beneficial bowel flora;

keeping them may be hard without Inulin and and probiotics.

Many people I've spoken with had great results on Lyme by using

colloidal silver. You can make your own for pennies per glass. One

lady had remarkable gains from her MS by using it IV. MS is related

in many people to an infection.

Ozone therapy also makes short work of lyme or any other systemic

infection.

The brain fog toxic symptoms of fibro and chronic fatigue will

respond to an antioxidant program containing glutathione

precursors. Increased HGH is the preferred method for treating

fibromyalgia.

Osteoporisis and arthritis also respond to the HGH therapy. What I

and 11,000 health practitioners perfer to use is not the shots to

increase your HGH, but a gentle and reliable amino acids mix that

raises your own levels. Both bone mineralisation and density, and

cartilage regeneration are increased with the therapy.

The science of that is here:

http://members.shaw.ca/patriciagilbert/

A lot of your symptoms relate to toxicity. Many symptoms of

toxicity are reduced even when you do a series of liver flushes.

About 50% relief from arthritis is seen in some people for example.

http://zeek.ca/4u/article.php?op=Print & sid=38

The antioxidant program with glutathione precursors is the other

most valuable tool for toxicity. Glutathione precursors are found

in " cold-processed " whey isolate plus selenium. Because you have

candida you'll need a sugar-free product.

Admittedly, I scanned over the HGH article you refer to quickly and tried many

of the links. Still I couldn't find a source for the " product " alluded to or a

recipe

for this amino acid combination. Did I miss it or is there another source for

this?

On second thought, I have to add here that although what I said

below is still valid, the four " dis-eases " below also are related

to a body being in a chronically acid condition. This is toxin

related, but it's hard to oxygenate and so oxidize toxins if you're

acidic. The reason is that as your cellular and extracellular

fluids become more alkaline they can transport more oxygen.

So I'd have to add the alkalizing minerals potassium, calcium,

magnesium, zinc, boron, vanadium to the list, and vitamin D and

possibly organic silica for the bones. Are you on a good 70+

mineral mix?

it is very hard to alkalize. I have been trying for six months with

little success. diet, and supps. its just not easy.

Hi Sushi;

The information on Gilbert's site is non-commercial on

HGH and IGF-1 treatment for many diseases (count 'em!)

http://members.shaw.ca/patriciagilbert/

The alternative to HGH shots is embedded in this information - The

Isidori study in 1981 used only two amino acids:

http://members.shaw.ca/patriciagilbert/ISIDORI_study.html

> Did I miss it or is there another source for this?

And the anti-aging specialists have adopted a better-blended eight

amino acid product that didn't name - SomaLife gHP. I have

sent you the commercial link privately, but using my name and the

keyword on a Google search will turn it up.

I understand from the past president and VP of the American Academy

of Anti-aging Medicine that the founder and author Klatz,

M.D. even uses it in preference to shots. And he did much of the

early research on HGH.

Hello, g;

OK, try a whole lemon or even two a day, pulp and all, plus the

minerals, maybe in liquid form.

Bowel dysbiosis means the bowel pH is also too high to efficiently

absorb minerals. You can reduce your bowel pH by increasing inulin-

containing foods or inulin supplements. This allows the correct

bacteria to re-establish and keep the pH down.

Duncan-

Thanks for the advice regarding inulin. I will track some down. As

for lemons and limes. I had been putting whole lemons in my water

for months. Lately I had to stop. The acidity in my mouth was

causing damage (and pain) to my teeth. That was an unpleasant

surprise. What I could do though is just eat it all at once then

clean my teeth. I suppose that would work.

Dear Pam,

You'll get lots of very good advices from all lovely people in this

list.....I would just say that first relief will be peace and relax for your

soul and spirit from the fact that you're not alone...this is what happened

to me.....I still have to do quite a lot of work but I feel so much better:

go on like this and you'll be right on track!

All the best to you

Introduction

I just joined the group and wanted to introduce myself before I

start seeking advice. I'm 44, 30 lbs overweight and suffering from

the weirdest list of symptoms you can imagine (well, maybe not). I

just had a food allergy test which showed a high allergy to beef &

corn - so I've stopped eating them completely. I also have a very

strong active candida and am taking Sporanox 100mg for 20 days. I

have also stopped all sugar in the last 10 days and will try to best

to keep that up. My bloodwork also showed a high saturation of iron

which is weird because I've always been anemic until now. My

glucose level was slightly elevated but still in the acceptable

range (96 and 99 is the top allowed by the lab). My symptoms are:

fatigue, hoarse raspy voice frequently, laryngitis every couple of

months, bowel movements are very infrequent (weekly), UTI every

couple of months, weight gain and losing it is soooo very hard,

foggy head, poor memory, dry itchy skin, tingling in my fingers when

I wake up, hands are always cold, hair loss which is scaring the

daylights out of me. Any words of wisdom or advice would be greatly

appreciated. So far my dr has only given me this one prescription

and other than that I'm just trying to learn on my one how to deal

with this. I look forward to learning from you.

Dear Pam,

Sounds to me like you have a thyroid problem. You should ask your Dr to have your thyroid function tested, esp to see if you have thyroid antibodies present. Autoimmune thyroid disease could be the underlying cause of your candida infection. It was with me!

Hope that helps,

They did check for hyper and hypo thyroid and those tests were normal. We're still stumped! Ha-ha!

Interesting as you have the classic signs. But then a rampant candida infection can cause signs of hypothyroidism also. But then there must be some underlying cause why you have a candida infection still. It's not normal for candida to flourish if all is ok!

I thought of thyroid problem first and went to a specialist who did the standard blood work which was all normal. He then did an iodine test - can't remember the name of it but they did an injection, waited a few minutes and then scanned my thyroid and saw a very small goiter but nothing to cause him any alarm. He told me to just be rechecked in a year. So then I went to a general practitioner who deals more in natural medicine (which I prefer) and he discovered the iron overload and candida.

hum..... a puzzle. if there is nothing else wrong then it may be that you have a candida infection due to a congested liver. Read the back emails about Liver flushing and it may be worth you buying a book by s called "The key to health and Rejuvenation". As i said for me the thyroid came first and caused the stupid yeast infection.

corn - so I've stopped eating them completely. I also have a very strong active candida and am taking Sporanox 100mg for 20 days. I have also stopped all sugar in the last 10 days and will try to best to keep that up. My bloodwork also showed a high saturation of iron which is weird because I've always been anemic until now. My glucose level was slightly elevated but still in the acceptable range (96 and 99 is the top allowed by the lab). My symptoms are:fatigue, hoarse raspy voice frequently, laryngitis every couple of months, bowel movements are very infrequent (weekly), UTI every couple of months, weight gain and losing it is soooo very hard, foggy head, poor memory, dry itchy skin, tingling in my fingers when I wake up, hands are always cold, hair loss which is scaring the daylights out of me. Any words of wisdom or advice would be greatly appreciated. So far my dr has only given me

this one prescription and other than that I'm just trying to learn on my one how to deal with this. I look forward to learning from you.

I rarely use salt....hubby has high blood pressure so I quit adding it to food a long time ago. But when I do use any its just regular old salt.

You need real salt – Celtic salt that has the iodine you need for your thyroid. It may be difficult to find. Try on line. I know Radiant Life carries it.

Oh my goodness, iron overload will cause all these problems! Please

look into Hemochromatosis. Your doctor should be clued in to

checking out this possiblity RIGHT AWAY due to high iron saturation.

You need to have your ferritin level checked, which is an enzyme

which binds to iron to keep it from poisoning you. If it is over

200, you are in big trouble and need to begin treatment right away.

The treatment is phlebotomy, which is blood removal. When blood is

removed the body will pull iron out of storage to make new blood and

eventually your iron level will go down. The hair falling out,

constipation, dry skin and cold hands is probably due to low thyroid

activity due to your high iron saturation, brain fog is from

congested liver which is a big problem with hemochromatosis since the

liver holds most of the excess iron in your body. I had exactly the

same symptoms as you, but throw in a duodenal ulcer and Barrett's

esophogus. I was ate up with candidiasis, woke up one morning 10

lbs. heavier than the day before, serious UTI with protein and blood

in urine, incredible fatigue. I went to 9 different doctors before

someone checked my ferritin level, which was over 700. Doctor #9

sent my blood off for a genetic test which indicated heriditary

hemochromatosis. I would have never realized all my weird symptoms

were caused by too much iron, so thank God for #9, but am on the road

to wellness now. Still trying to get rid of the candidiasis,

though. 1 in 200 people have this disorder, but the genetic test was

only developed in 1996, so many doctors are clueless about it.

has a group called FFE which you might take a look at. Just my

opinion, if your doctor doesn't want to check your ferritin level or

genetic status, ditch him and get another. You need to know if it is

iron overload because you are at great risk for liver cancer, and

none of your symptoms will improve until you get rid of the iron.

Good luck my dear!

Thank you so much for the response. This doctor has checked my ferritin....and the really weird twist is that my ferritin level is great - 68. However, UIBC, Iron Serum & Iron Saturation are very high. So once again we're stumped. I have family history of hemochromatosis so he's highly suspicious of that but with the ferritin level being normal still not sure what to think. On one hand I want to know once and for all that's what it is so I can stop worrying about the unknown and just deal with it...but I don't want to stop looking if that's not the real problem. I know what you mean about the UTI - I have one right now with blood in urine...but I'm so hesitant to take another antibiotic since my candida is so strong and I'm already taking a very expensive medicine to get rid of it.

Hi Pam,

I would like to share about this other amazing salt, mined from a 250 million year old deposit in the Himalayas. It has been reported in all sorts of health restoring applications. We have been getting a lot of very positive feedback about it.

Additionally, we have a magnesium salt based topical supplement called Topically Everything, that has the extracts of alfalfa and kelp, hence amino acids and minerals from both the land and the sea. It has been very helpful in dealing with aches and pains, so it will likely be assisting the immune system as the whole. It is made by Twilight America.

They are finding now that you can have " normal " levels of thyroid

hormones, yet actually be hypothyroid. This happened to me and it

took several year before the docs finally admitted it and that took

a trip to an endocrinologist. I took Synthroid .300 mg for over 5

years and then switched to a T-3 medication because I still had

symptoms. Check out this web site and see if any of it pertains to

you. www.wilsonssyndrome.cm

Hopefully you can find a doc that can help you. I felt a lot better

on the T-3 until I had surgery last year. Then the Candidiasis just

took over.

Best of luck to you!

Please use caution on this one. It is a good idea to get your

ferritin checked as it can be a big health issue for many people. I

will tell you, however, that I have the same symptoms and my

ferritin was a dangerously low 4...yes...I said 4. I had to have IV

Iron infusion and am not up to 8. I am scheduled for another one in

April and they have to do it over a 2 day time period because I had

an allergic reaction to the last one. I have to have it though as

my body doesn't absorb it intestinally.

I was told, however that the high end of normal for ferritin is

291. I know that different labs have different standards.

A good way to check that is with temperature readings first thing in

the morning. Temp shouldn't be low.

Coconut oil is one way people are increasing their temp and metabolic

rate, and a bonus is that it also kills candida and other pathogens.
