Guest guest
Hey Arlene, don't overdo it. I had one of my interferon headaches yesterday. My family is in Galveston for their spring break family reunion. My in-laws come from New Hampshire, rent a house and Greg's brothers and sister and their families all come down. I went for the day and got really sick from the headache, coming home. It is an hour drive. That was a REALLY long hour. I always come home at night. In past years I had to work. Now my excuse is my pets. The idea of staying with all of those people is too much for me. I'm from a very small family. Plus I've always enjoyed the week to myself. Now that I'm not working I have less of an excuse not to go down there. I did make drs. appointments for 2 days this week, so I can have those alone. As soon as I got there yesterday kids were asking me where stuff was. They don't seem to understand that since I wasn't there when they unpacked, I wouldn't know. I'm mom and I knoe where everything is. Does anyone know why mom's are supposed to know this? They treat us like we're stupid until they need something. Oh well I've gone on long enough and I'm going to go read the paper now.I have to head to Galveston soon with all the stuff they forgot to take. I'm coming home early though. Everyone have a great day. Sharon --- ACE <arken@...> wrote: > /HI Sharon... a friend of mine from the > GoldWingTouringAssociation came by > today & worked about six hours cleaning my > house....... Guest guest
Sharon....... Of course I overdid it....... I always tend to overdo things when I'm feeling OK or when I don'[t get enough sleep---as was the case this time!! I hope you're enjoying the reunion & time to yourself (like a vacation when you can get time to yourself) I don't have kids & don't have many visitor's either(lost most of our friend's when I got HepC) But we have found good friends with the GWTA! And of course we still have a few friends left but most live too far away-in Portland- Some are making the move out here to Rainier as it's such a peaceful nice town & not too mucch criminal activity ( except when the thiefs come over across the river from WA. They tend to stay off our street-- They know there's a crazy lady that lives @ end of road armed with weapons & mean nasty bad-ass dogs<g>!!!! I'm hoping by tomorrow I'll be feeling a lot less achy(mostly back & muscles I had'nt used in some time!! But fortunately my RUQ hasn't been bothering me for almost 2 days!! arlene Sharon Zeis wrote: > Hey Arlene, don't overdo it. I had one of my > interferon headaches yesterday. Guest guest
Jan--- I tried the sleep aids -Rx's- both Friday & Saturday to no avail!! Took 42 hours being wide awake- just to sleep 3 hours-- but made up for it somewhat last nite -got a whopping 13-14 hours in 2 sleep times I feel quite a bit better- but am achy from doing the firewood thing Sun. early evening--kinda pushed it loading truck- then unloading it - then stacking it! I did it in record time as it was raining @ the time so got a full size P/U -8 ft bed fully loaded, unloaded - etc in about 1 hour!!! arlene Jannewilms42@... wrote: Arlene I hope you get some rest soon..Sleep aids kick my butt usually!! Guest guest
Oddly enough my headaches subsided during treatment. I have long suffered from migraines, and they were horrible in the first couple of weeks on treatment, but through the remainder of the treatment I suffered less from migaines than normal. After I quit I was having them frequently again. I seem to be doing ok now. Normally I only get them about once a month or so. -dz- --- Sharon Zeis <szeis_1@...> wrote: > Hey Arlene, don't overdo it. Of course, like your wife, I don't think she knows for sure what color her hair is right now.. I guess one of the nice things about being a man is that society allows us to grow old gracefully. Guest guest
This is GREAT news. My dr. preferred I quit dying my hair because they're not sure what the chemicals do to the liver. I've been covering the gray for years so it was pretty traumatic at first to see it turn gray. Maybe it will fall out and come back not so gray. Guest guest
That seems true. I believe my wife has a photograph of our house in her mind. She amazes me sometimes when I ask her if she's seen something. " it's in the bedroom on the dresser next to the tv " I would never remember details like that. -dz- --- Sharon Zeis <szeis_1@...> wrote: > Your supposed to know where everything is even if > someone else moved it. Guest guest
That's good. I try to limit my salt intake as well. Some people will argue that salt cooked in the food is better for you than just poured over the food after cooking, but I'd rather do without it. It didn't take me long to get used to unsalted food. I suppose you ate a lot of unsalted carrots? (to get so far-sighted?) -dz- --- ACE <arken@...> wrote: > My Dad was off work a lot of the time (he worked > Union job during all > those strikes in the 50's & early 60's & so my Mom > brought home the > Bacon..she worked in civil service job...... Guest guest
My family had to listen to me rant and rave for weeks but I just quit looking in the mirror. Between the gray, the weight loss and the dark circles under my eyes I stay away from all mirrors. Luckily I have to take my glasses off to put on make-up so I can't see until it's on. I haven't been oustside since Sun.- weather is too nasty & wet.... & I haven't been feeling real great either since going all that time w/o sleep & rest...so I've been resting quite a bit-- trying to get some energy back.... arlene Jannewilms42@... wrote: Arlene glad to know you finally got some sleep..Ya know I have CRS bad and forgot if you are on tx right now or not.. Guest guest
I guess I'll have to get used to them eventually. Now half the time I leave one pair at work. I have 3 pairs, all slightly different prescriptions, but they work. It's hell getting old! -dz- --- ACE <arken@...> wrote: > dz------Ditto on the eyewear or non wear.... Guest guest
Well, I made it to the gym again. I have been getting a good enough workout blowing snow for the past several days. I did some cardio and I'm not quite as out of shape as I had feared. I hope to lose 20 pounds. -dz- --- ACE <arken@...> wrote: > yes carrots & lots of oranges(I practically lived on > oranges & avocadoes too) > > We had about 8-10 Orange trees- a tangerine tree-- & > 4 grapefruit trees & one > lemon tree + 17 avocado trees @ my folks place(where > I grew up)! > arlene > > imaganeer wrote: > > > That's good.
